Did Savage have any comment about the way that all the news reporters were pronouncing Avila's name with an American pronunciation instead of an Hispanic one?

I wonder if he left bloody figerprints on her body? His would be on file and they were so definite so fast that he's the one.

And thank the guy who found her, although in his case it was pure chance that he found her so quickly. But thank God he did! Finding her so soon means a lot, a LOT of valuable forensic evidence has been preserved.

I heard that it was matching fibers that pretty much sealed the decision to make the arrest. It doesn't take long to match fibers. All the DNA evidence will be confirmed in good time. It won't matter if he produces 50 witnesses to say he was at the mall--if his DNA is on her body, he's toast.
To: the-gooroo
Yeah, and they got fiber match too. I'm still thinkin DNA match. They got him. Danged good work.

No, that's ok... MA has never been one of my favourite places :0)
I know in WA the info is disseminated without restriction... We get notices occasionally from the Sheriff's department whenever a scumbag is let out and is registered in the area... I don't know about other states...
To: wimpycat
They went around to alot of those stores asking for video tape. Lookin for him, I'd bet. Whatcha think he wasn't anywhere to be seen?

Old Friend--- Never call these human monsters an animal!!!!
Animals don't kill, they just try to go on with evolution, without the benefit of technology. Animals never kill!! they try to survive and reach the next stage of evolution. We humans are different!!! But never ever again say when a human kills monsterious, he acts like an animal. That is fact... it's not true and not proven!! Animals are protecting their species, humans kill for fun, for gain of power, and for all other things--unknown in the animal world!

Yes it is what they get "payed" to do, but it doesn't always work out so quickly. Long ago, here in Lancaster Ca a little girl disappeared.
I helped "track" this little 4 year old girls footsteps through the desert to a mobile home park a couple blocks away where on the pavement her tracks could not be followed. A registered sex offender lived (on parole) in that park. Two years later about a mile and a half away her skeleton was found with her clothes neatly folded under an adjacent bush. We could not get a filing against the registered sex offender because we had no evidence except her tiny footprints leading into his park.

I agree with you assessment of this sheriff. He seesm like a fine and competent law enforcement officer. He exudes confidence in his office as sheriff and also compassion for the victim and family. He also seems very passionate about this case.

gang raped, skinned, tied to a tree and allowed to die of exposure..She was not a pretty child..
I don't get it what did any of this have to do with her being pretty or unattractive?
To: Palladin

Nice, but it would be cheaper to just tie it off. Let it turn blue and explode on its own. Might take a few days, but .....

Did anyone think it was weird that the police chief referred to the "crime scenes" (plural). Would they have more than one crime scene in the Samantha case or are they linking him to other cases? One crime scene is where Samantha was abducted. The other is where he dumped her body. No other crimes have been mentioned other than his previous acquittal for molesting his ex-girlfriend's daughters. (They might also consider his car and apartment to be part of the crime scenes as well since they're gathering evidence there also.)

But I have nothing against inmate collegues to scare the hell out of him all life long. I heard that what gets the inmates is when these perp's tell them in glowing details how fun it was, etc. I'd beat the crap out of them, too.
