So will Congress start to reverse the rulings set up by the Clintoonians to make all of our forest Druid Cathedrals with no logging, no roads and no thinning of brush.

Or will the envirals win again with the power of the Mediots who serve the Watermelons of America?

"Both sides (environmentalists and the timber industry) have ample clout to block any legislative effort," Kardon said. "If they want another decade of gridlock, forest destruction, erosion and habitat degradation, that will be their choice."

The measure may offer the last chance to save old growth west of the Cascades, he said, because the Bush administration has pledged to accelerate logging to meet original projections of the Northwest Forest Plan.

Notice that the enviro-mafia got their wish with the Northwest Forest plan, but they couldn't even let that be. Right after it was passed they began filing court cases to prevent even the tiny remaining amount of logging that would have been permitted under the plan.

If they really give a damn about the forests, they'll demand thinning and road building so that there is a reasonable mix of all ages of trees. That mix will be species dependant; in some cases even age management works best. In any case, the mix needs to be economic. If less than 12 inches (or whatever) trees are not worth cutting, cut enough over that so the industry doesn't need subsidies to survive. Roads are needed to get the stuff out. Treatment and sensible placement for winter is not that hard to do... The siltation from a decent road is nothing compared to the mud flows that will hit this winter/spring due to the full burns.

Their goal was really no logging not even the removal of infected trees, dead trees or in the past two years trees dead from the fires they created.

If they had said their original goal was zero logging on all federal and state lands, they might have had a tough time getting it through Congress.

So they lied about it. Which is the cornerstone of the Eco Mafia. Lies and poor science are their main tools for the ultimate Rural Cleansing of America.

We both know that they don't really give a damn about the health of the trees and forests. That is just a cover for their watermelon eco mafia scheme to stop all logging and then burn out half of America. They want rural cleansing of all of America, these tactics of theirs help them to reach that goal.

These watermelon eco mafia fascists are far more dangerous to the average American than the al Qaeda thugs are.

They propose putting federal forests more than 120 years old on the west side of the Cascades off-limits to logging.

Crapooollaaaa. Yah, let's give more land up to the virals, they've done such a good job on the East side they deserve a shot on the West side too.

. Such projects would then be exempt from citizen appeals that can slow logging. Court cases would have to be decided with a presumption "in favor of" the logging projects

I really like the sound of this, although I'm leary of giving up the west side.

said Jasmine Minbashian, coordinator of the Northwest Old Growth Campaign.

She and Kieran Suckling (from the ranch thread) should have a contest for weirdest eco-freak name. Where in the world do these pukes come from. Its similar to all the radical Islamic dudes, they all have one eye, no eyes or some other deformity.

Great job of gleaning out the gold in our battle with these scum bags:

Jasmine Minbashian and Kieran Suckling have to be two of the weirdest names I've heard ever associated with the mentally ill enviral whackos.

How about a congressional mandate to properly manage the forests, wilderness areas and the national parks?

I don't if it has been posted yet, I've been busy working in the back yard on my new deck.

Westfir is on standby evacuation notice.

No argument there. I'm just wondering how much traction it will have. I personally think NOTHING will happen from any quarter. It's very frustrating to watch our country go up/down in flames.

Souther Oregon:
The biggest industry here is pot growing. The "environmentals" don't want logging, roads, forest service personel, anyone, going into the forests. Around here if you go up into the mountains in your jeep or on horse back, you go armed. And never alone.
Walking through the trees used to be nice. Nowdays, you'll get fish hooks suspended on monofilament snagging your eyes if you do.
Personally, I just as soon we had an open season on the SOB's.
