au revoir mon cher Angelique

I have the truly sad and unenviable task of reporting the loss of a gentle lamb, and fierce patriot, our own dear girl, Angelique.
Simple words cannot express the profound loss I feel. To say I have lost one of my closest and dearest friends would be to betray my own feelings, I adored this girl. Her warm sweet childlike voice, contrasted with her signature feisty repartee, and unbridled humor made her a one-of-a-kind treasure. Her combative defense of her deeply held convictions, crossed many a sword with the best of her friends including yours truly, and her few if any enemies. She was a model Mother, daughter, sister, friend, patriotic American, Franco-American and staunch defender of the principals of a Free Republic, and above all FreeRepublic itself. Angelique said what she believed, with straight talk, a savvy humor and wit, but at times with a velvet sledgehammer ....tears, that was our darling French pastry.
Pray for our sweet girl, as I will, in hopes that she has found comfort and peace in His waiting arms.

I just got back from the emergency room--had to have my sides sewn up! That taco bell/gore dog is the best laugh in the world! However, you forgot the pic of Hillary bald, and then switching hair with Bill! Bwahahahaha!

I am so very sorry, carlo!
I knew Angelique from the many posts we've swapped back and forth.
She was a treasure of charm and wit with a loving nature and gentle manner.
I'm going to miss her greatly.

She earned it. The dear girl never quit fighting for everything she believed in until the very end. Search her posts and read her words, they speak for themselves....Angelique was indeed unique in every way.

I never had the pleasure of conversing with her, but I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to you, her dear friend...

Yes, Wasperman, we had the best of times with our sweet and spirited friend and our love of 'wurdz' and 'wurd' play.
She and I were friends on the side as well as the threads, where we eternally redecorated the Freep Mail Room, drab as it was.
We gave it special touches, like the UNWANTED POSTERS I created with Bill and Hill and Ann (Gatling Gun) Lewis and Begala and their cohorts.
Used 'em as dart boards when frustrated or bored..:))

When there was a dispute on how chili should be made, one woman said she'd made a mess of it and biscuits (not cornbread or crackers, she said), the next day I knew what I had to do.

Hailed Angelique and tossed some of the hardened ones from my South Carolina to Arizona and pelted her.
All out war ensued, with an admonition to those in Texas not to stand up, else they be in the line of fire.
Our aim did not match our zeal!

My last mail from her was about that war, and soon after she was sorting and packing to move back to her home in California, I assume to be with her family.

Carlo, she will always be with us in our hearts, and our lives the richer for the time we had.
Angelique - I mourn you did not tell me you were so ill, and that I could not be there to hold your hand.
It is heaven's gain to have you there.

Was she involved with the all time classic... FReeper Island? I know she kept tellin me she was hangin by her petticoats from the White Cliffs of Dover. What a character!!! Unforgetable!!!

I've been too set-back financially to make a contribution to FR but I'm gonna give one tomorrow in Angelique's name. As valuable as FR is, she was more than just a "value added" AZ star!!!
