GIANT SACRAMENTO "DUMP DAVIS" FREEP A BIG SUCCESS, with over 100 attending!
Self | 10/19/2002 | David H Dennis

Posted on 10/19/2002 5:40:53 PM PDT by daviddennis

Over 100 freepers and friends gathered in Sacramento, showing steely-eyed determination to "Dump Davis".

People filtered into the rally gradually, to the point that one moment it seemed almost empty and then we had a huge crowd to contend with. And all of them - peaking at over 100 people towards the end - showed their determination to "Dump Davis" through their signs, slogans and passion.

The formal portion of the rally started with a continuation of what was already happening, organized chanting of "Dump Davis, Dump Davis now", "Bill Simon Save Us ... From Gray Davis" and many more. Chants were led by both eGray hookers (clearly starting a fashion trend), ChickenMan, and two splendid costumed people: The Coin Operated Governor Guy, dressed as a cash register, with a costume lovingly made, and the truly over the top brilliant three-eyed fish, symbolizing the dumping of dioxin. The Davis bandit girl deserved support as not only having a great costume, but being the creator of the Coin Operated Governor Costume, which looked great.

The leftists mounted an incredibly weak response to the rally, which I suspect few noticed. About four people waved the standard boring "Experience you trust ... values we share" sign we've seen everywhere in the Davis campaign. Unfortunately, by the time I broke away from the speeches to film them, they were already gone. I think they were a little afraid of the obvious passion and drive of the crowd.

Next came the speeches, with any reference to electing Simon or dumping Davis provoking highly enthusiastic responses. Saundra Duffy wowed the crowd with her powerful anti-Davis arguments, and a woman I know only as Barbara made an amazingly powerful fire-breathing speech. This was a day of emotion, not logic, with the crowd eager to hear just about anything that inflamed their passions either for Simon or against Davis.

At the end, RonDog rallied the crowd to really stand up and be counted. He got them all near the steps of the capitol, all roaring with "Dump Davis". We then went over to the dump truck, stationed near the capitol, where there were more chants and cries. It was all very impressive, with well over 100 people in attendance, all chanting their hearts out.

After the rally, we left for the nearby Hyatt hotel to play my film, consisting of the freeper videos I have produced. This was the first time people were able to see what I'd done on the big (or at least not postage stamp sized) screen. Everyone seemed very impressed, including Jim Robinson.

This was a great freep, well worth the fare to Sacramento. I should mention that in honor of my first visit to Sacramento, I decided to obey their proposed laws and rent an electric car. It cost about the same as a Taurus, and barely got me to the Capitol and back before running out of power. (The Capitol is about 9 miles from the airport). I hope that if the legislature eventually requires 10% of all cars sold to be electric, they force themselves to drive only electric cars. That won't last long, trust me.

All in all, then, this was a magnificent freep, and I would like to thank RonDog for organizing it, Saundra and x for her kind hospitality, and the cast of hundreds that made this possible!

If nothing else, it will show that the leadership of the CA GOP needs to be changed so we can have a united party, not what we have now. That is its best hope for survival. Will it happen? Money talks unfortunately.. Sad. So much pormise , so little support from his own state party.

GO BILL!! We're behind ya all the way. Hell, If it rains November 5th, Who knows? It could be another Simon landslide over his 2nd democRatic opponent in 1 year. ;-)

It's all about turn-out now.

Keep The Faith

Be Creative.

Say Hi to somebody you meet at the store, ask them if they are you registered to vote. Tell them it is really important they use their vote to stop us from being overtaxed even more because of incompetence and/or corruption in our state government leaders. We here in California will be pressed harder the next few years due to a Budget Crisis and Energy Crisis a certain Governor mismanaged. IF that won't convince... On to the next one ;-)

Volunteer to drive shut-ins and elderly to the voting places.

With all the creativity running around loose hereon, we SHOULD be able to come up with a slogan that would turn the Davis slogan on it's ear and them on their rears.

SOMETHING MAYBE LIKE:

EXPERIENCE THE RUST
TRUST THE VALUES OF
BILLDO AND DAVIS

EXPERIENCE THE
VALUES OF THE
OVAL OFFICE INTERNS
TRUST DAVIS TO
CONTINUE THE
TRASHY TRADITION

EXPERIENCE YOU CAN
BARF OVER. TRUST
THE VALUES OF
BILLDO AND SHRILLERY
IN A DAVIS COSTUME.

EXPERIENCE U CAN BARF OVER
VALUES A MOTHER WOULD DISOWN FOR

EXPERIENCE WASTED & FLUSHED
VALUES LOOKING FOR A DEEPER TOILET

EXPERIENCED PUBLIC DESTROYER
VALUES POLLUTER EXCEEDED ONLY
BY BILLDO AND SHRILLERY

EXPERIENCED DESTROYER OF THE PUBLIC GOOD
VALUES TO BE TERMINALLY ASHAMED OF

EXPERIENCED PUBLIC DESTROYER
VALUES TRASHER FOR HIRE

DAVIS:
EXPERIENCED HYPOCRITE
& VALUES TRASHER FOR HIRE

EXPERIENCE THE
NEW WORLD DISORDER
VOTE THE TRASHY
VALUES OF DAVIS

EXPERIENCE THE
NEW WORLD TYRANNY
VOTE THE TRASHY
HAND OF BIG BRO DAVIS

PLEASE, SOME OTHER ENTRIES????

THANKS MUCH.

HONORED TO BE CALLED THAT.

Sure miss the place and especially the people.

Lived in San Diego for 10 years in and after the Navy. That's a great place as far as big U.S. cities go.

Blessings to you this fall and holiday season. May all your relationships have all the joy, intimacy and fun you can stand.

What location in Taiwan? The airbase or???

You may know Formosa is from the Dutch for garden isle. It is that. Sure miss the fruit and variety of food. Also, the variety of juices and other drinks available in 7/11's there.

Yeah, the older I get the more time seems to race--MOST of the time.

And I keep having the feeling that once things are off and running--either with the war with Iraq or some such other--then the rush through the tail end of history as we know it will be really fast in a lot of respects--except maybe for those imprisoned by the oncoming tyranny. Would sure like to be wrong on all that. Sigh.

We ought to enjoy our relationships while we may, it seems to me. Life is too short regardless of war or no war.

THANKS FOR YOUR KIND REPLIES.

Comwatch was not there. If you notice up at the top this thread is from the banned "restoreourfreedom". Jim Rob assumed his posts were comwatch under another name and banned him at the same time he banned comwatch. He has yet to restore restoreourfreedom's posting privilege.
