But, why do you consider yourself one? You see, I don't know anything about you, so when you say you are a pagan, a term one usually doesn't use to describe one's self, I don't understand the significance.

BTW, you were great at the rally.

If you are so blithely unconcerned about being un-PC in your use of the word "rednecks" (whom you have said you want to see packed off to internment camps,) how come you're so full of such exquisitely PC solicitude towards Moslems? What gives you the right to preach to others about intolerance, when you have shown yourself to be at least as intolerant towards those whom you call "rednecks"?

One...That was a tounge in cheek comment by me in order to prove a point and you know it. Save the hysterics, Alice.

Two...If I was serious, at least that would be interning people based on their actions rather than their appearance or choice of religion.

Three...My attitude towards innocent Muslims is not "PC". It's called NOT being racist.

Thinking racism is the worst of sins IS PC. Ever hear of self-preservation?

And, by the way, you're the one that uses racist language. I don't.

I was really enjoying your speech and I wished it could have continued. I liked the first half on CSPAN too. Is there any chance you have it in written format? I feel really bad that you were interrupted and I think we should post it here or something. Thanks so much for being a sport. I told Kristinn: yours was going to be, I was pretty sure, one of my favorite speeches!!

Sir, I just have to say -- in another thread you were claiming certain people were racist and anti-Muslim. But one of the people you listed was someone who came out and supported the Iraqi dissidents here in DC on Saturday.

So one of my real concerns about you leading the charge on this issue is the accuracy of your information. I think racism is a thunderous charge and it shouldn't be lightly hurled about. I don't know -- and I really don't want to know -- the details of how you've arrived at your own personal conclusion as to who is anti-Muslim and why you've decided to loudly and repeatedly proclaim it to all of us. I don't know how accurate your research is. But I do know that as to the one case I have personal experience with, you are dead wrong.

When I was a prosecutor, I did my research before I brought my charges.

What gives you the right

Yeah, that's kinda my question to this Johnny person. All persons of substance oppose racism. But who died and made this guy King -- he seems to shoot first and ask questions later.

Sincerely,

She who spent Saturday in DC in part hanging out with the very sweet children the Iraqi exiles

I thought you handled the crowd great! That was my recollection and it was confirmed by CSPAN. Good work! (I have to say that the protest *did* disturb my train of thought on your speech -- it was on CSPAN that I understood it better and it hung together.)

"I gotta tell you, three of them put their protest signs in the trash after hearing the Iraqis tell about what it was like."

Good work!! I actually listened to some of the leftist stuff on CSPAN, and one of their speakers, a Vera something, was saying that she just KNEW that if the Iraqis were here, they'd tell her she was right. LOL!! I'm thinking NOT.

Yeah, I agree. There was a lot of intelligence photographing going on. Mighty, I saw DC police filming live video and also long-lens photos from the back of a van along Constitution too.

I've no doubt Saddam is at least trying to get some of his assassins into this country. He's so evil about dissent, it makes sense that he would. But any of a number of other Middle East intelligence people could be at work. Remember, there was a huge pro-PLO contingent at the anti-war march. They had a huge rally here in DC on April 20th and have made common cause with the leftists, big time.

OK, this is just me, but if I were involved in a thread where I had to publicly apologize for getting it wrong in calling someone racist and then the recipient of the apology says, "Fine, and please don't call my wife 'skippy' " -- I mean this stuff should be embarassing. At what point do you decide that, in light of the title of the thread and the general point of this thread, perhaps it's time to move along? This is kinda "hijacking" the thread -- you're not making one point, you're getting into sustained debates which, I do assure you, look a little embarassing.

"Maybe silk-screen the same art on them that is on some MREs that get handed out as humanitarian rations; "A gift from the people of the United States of America."

ROFL -- OK, this is a great idea. But we couldn't hand them out to the same people that we gave RogerD's TERRIFIC handout explaining to the leftists how they could renounce their US citizenship. Roger, that was the BESTEST!

Thanks for the compliment!

I really don't understand why you ask the question, but I said that I am a Pagan for the same reason people say that they are Christians or Jews or any other religion. It is my religion, and it is part of what/who I am. I also said that I am several other things ... rape survivor, 4H instructor, NRA instructor, Second Amendment Sister, etc., all a way of identifitying myself - saying who I am and where I'm coming from.

All of the Pagans I know use the term Pagan as one of the ways to describe themselves, as a matter of course. Unless, of course, they're afraid of the reaction. I am not, which would not surprise you if you knew me. :o)

Oh, yes! I would also like very much to hear - or read - the rest of that speech! I was hoping that we would hear it again, from the beginning, after the interruption, but that was - sadly - not the case. Thank you for asking for the written version!

Thanks! I didn't get to see it on C-Span, so have images of it not making any sense at all when I picked it up after the mini-riot. Whew!
