I am off to Moran's to join the rest of the chapter in welcoming MadIvan to New York.

I will attempt to post using my pocket PC and my wireless modem as we haven't arranged for a modem connection with a laptop there is no sense on lugging around the extra weight in addition to my camera and camcoder.

We will try to upload some digital pictures as the party is progressing and hope that AT&T has a CDPD node nearby to transmit.

Barring that, we will continue the thread once we get home.

Even though I was down from the virus I couldn't miss this gathering. It's always great to see all of you, you're really a classy bunch. Thanks for making me sound like a VIP I hope I can live up to the cudo's. I am proud to be associated with this group because it's too important to get us heard out there. We all have our work cut out for us and the great minds and energy we have, I believe will prevail, we will give it our best shot. Strategic brainstorming was and is always the most important key to a difficult challenge, until we meet again, and I hope that is sooner than later, I love you all!

Hi! All of my worst fears are being realized with this women "Hillary," they are smart calculating, devious, and focused and the general public can't seem to see through her as we do. The press is afraid to confront her on and gives her a free pass when her stories change. When she makes statements she usually cancels out what she said in her previous statement to cover her ass, "A La Mario Cuomo" She does nothing but she does it well. We will have our work cut out for us because the Democrats have knowbody with charisma. Can you believe it?

Let's see...we met at 6 a.m., stopped for coffee, gas, Cracker Barrel to say hi to others in the DC contingent, and took one minor 'scenic route' detour. We had a little trouble finding Moran's but thanks to cell phones and Race Bannon's flagging us down on the curb, we were parked by 12:15 and headed over to the WTC site. Six hours goes fast with good company. Come on down!

Well they did good, as anyone born in October (ahem -- my son the 9th and yours truly the 28th) is given a great start in life. Do you have a photo of him in camouflage gear? That must be hysterical. Happy New Year Nicky!

I want to thank you for hosting such a wonderful party. I met up with favorite FReepers I haven't seen in ages and got to know many more I haven't met before.

Moran's was a great place to hold the party, but I'm still upset about Mayor Bloomberg and his anti-smoking crusade. The poor waitresses, I don't think they've been exposed to unapologetic Clinton-hating conservatives before. I'm sure that was an afternoon they won't forget soon.

The visit to the World Trade Center site was a mix of sadness, anger and reassurance. That so much 'normalcy' and vitality has returned to an area so devastated is a testament to the strength of the American people--and especially the people of New York City.

I wasn't bothered by the tourists. Folks will make of it what they will, but even those who treat it as just another attraction know deep down the horrid murders and destruction that took place there.
