Sen. Frist aids victims at South Florida wreck scene
By BRIAN BANDELL
Associated Press WriterIncoming Senate majority leader Bill Frist, a surgeon, helped authorities tend to six victims of a rollover accident on a Florida highway New Year's Day, earning praise from paramedics for stabilizing some of the four survivors.
Frist, R-Tenn., a full time heart and lung surgeon before joining the Senate eight years ago, replaced Trent Lott, R-Miss., who stepped down as majority leader in December after making a racist comment.
An Isuzu Rodeo with six people aboard was heading west on Alligator Alley when it rolled over 3 to 4 miles west of the toll plaza in Broward County at 3:51 p.m., Broward Fire-Rescue Assistant Chief Todd Leduc said.
All six, including three children, were thrown out as the vehicle rolled. A 10-year-old boy died on the scene; another passenger died later at a hospital.
Frist was driving east on the highway, the Everglades portion of Interstate 75, heading to a family vacation home in Fort Lauderdale with his two sons when he came across the accident, which had just occurred.
He was working with the victims when rescue officials arrived. He told them of the conditions of the victims and assisted paramedics for about 30 minutes until the victims were sent to area hospitals.
"Sen. Frist greatly assisted Broward County Fire Rescue. The Senate majority leader was really instrumental in helping us treat the victims," Leduc said. "We'd like to get in contact with him and recognize him for his efforts."
The other four victims were transported to Broward General Hospital in Fort Lauderdale and Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Leduc said. A 12-year-old was in critical condition. Authorities didn't release their identities.
"As a doctor his first instinct was too help these individuals," said Nick Smith, Frist's communications director. "His heart goes out to the family involved in this horrible tragedy."

What a sinister thing for even an SUV to do.

Yeah, bet they were white people. He, as we all know, would never help black people. I betting the two boys who died will be granted honorary Negritude, even if their identical twins were the survivors and were surnamed Nordberg. Sure he helped the White-uns but he let the color'd chillen die. Of course Clinton would raped their mother (dead or alive, White or Black) and driven off.

I'm not defending the part about lying to the shelters--that was clearly wrong. But regarding whether experimenting on the cats was a sin, I think that is debatable. I saw him talk about this incident in a C-span interview, and he explained that the experiments he was doing involved developing heart transplant techniques. At this time there had not been many (if any) succesful heart transplants in humans. He and his colleagues were trying to figure out how to do a heart transplant by first trying on animals. It is a little sick that he went to animal shelters and adopted these kitties to do a transplant on them!! But the research itself seems worthwhile (some accounts of this make it seem like he was doing something sadistic with the cats).

With the party's history of snatching defeact from the jaws of victory, I hope to heaven that Frist's office doesn't send them a bill.

Thanks for the ping over. Sounds like he did a fantastic job helping the accident victims. What a way to have to start the new year with a car accident.
All our prayers should go out to the the family for their lost and for a speedy recovery and healing.

Suggest you take a deep breath.
Isaiah 8 (NIV)
Fear God
11 The LORD spoke to me with his strong hand upon me, warning me not to follow the way of this people. He said:
12 "Do not call conspiracy
everything that these people call conspiracy;
do not fear what they fear,
and do not dread it.
13 The LORD Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy,
he is the one you are to fear,
he is the one you are to dread,

>Do you believe in redemption? Changing our sinful ways? Forgiveness after not committing such sin for 28 years?Yes. However, Frist has graduated from murdering cats to promoting the murder of innocent babies. THAT IS CURRENT FRUIT!
HE HAS NOT REPENTED! Confession does not equal repentance! The bible says "turn from sin," "cease for sinning," and so on. There is no forgiveness for the unrepentant who do not turn from sin. There is no repentance for those who keep sinning and abortion and promoting it is sin.

How many of Frist's resumes for jobs and billboards for election said, "started lying,"Why don't you tell us about when you started lying. And what you lied about your first time out. Let's have full disclosure.

Senator Frist is considered a very pro-life senator, according to National Right to Life.
You are making things up about Senator Frist. This is wrong. Stop it, please.

promoting the murder of innocent babies. You said it. Prove where he promoted the murder of innocent babies. Prove it or retract it.

I know of doctors that would not want to get involved due to the fear of lawsuits. Looks like he is at heart a real doctor.
I've seen it. A car rolled in front of me on a highway. A doctor stopped and took over the scene. When the situation was controlled, he told me what to do, then said, "You never saw me."
He took off just before the ambulances arrived.

"Now lets get back to real news like Edwards running for President.Bwahahahahahahaha."
Don't kick old Johnny boy. Had he been there he would have helped too. Like, offering to sue the driver for a cut of the payoff.
