*** OFFICIAL KENTUCKY FREEPER POST-MEETING REPORT ***

Okay, you people, here it is: the Official Kentucky Freeper Post-Meeting Report. We met tonight at Don Pablo's, 615 S. Hurstbourne Parkway, Louisville, Kentucky.

Those in attention were:
RonPaulLives; strick68; wattsup; Don Bell; the irate magistrate; upchuck; Fred Mertz; skinkinthegrass; Little Guy; Mrs. Little Guy; DebMcB; one lurker (sorry, didn't know if you wanted your real name mentioned :> ).

Freepers gathered together from the Northern, Eastern, and Central parts of the Bluegrass State. We enjoyed our fellow freepers' company, and our dinners, in the smoker-friendly patio room. The consumers of adult beverages in the crowd (sans yours truly, not there's anything wrong with that) were treated to all-day happy hour.

Topics we discussed included, but were not limited to:

our very own Don Bell and Virgil Moore running for Governor/Lt. Governor of Kentucky in the Republican Primary

the activities of the Louisville "Peaceniks" and our freeping of them.

the B.S. that passes for legislation in the Kentucky Legislature , including their attempts to: increase taxes on cigarettes and businesses, and get rid of the gubernatorial run-off rule.

the goings-on at the meetings of the Louisville Metro Council , including a resolution introduced there tonight to support our troops.

the rarely-mentioned scandal that is the Kentucky Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports

Here's thanking all those for coming out; looking forward to our next Kentucky Freep Meeting. Guess we need a date for that meeting, huh? :>

I'm happy I attended, tardy and all. I enjoyed listening to the multitude of issues on the table...fortunately, my schooner of beer (DosXX) arrived soon after I did.

Kentucky FReepers are top shelf. I think we need to help Virgil Moore and FReeper Don Bell win the primary in May...whatever it takes!

Thanks for sponsoring this get-together tonight. We're on the same sheet, even though we have different areas of focus. That's a good thing.

It was nice to see everyone.

We will have a great time helping Don Bell and Senator Moore win the primary for governor.

These men of liberty will prevail.

We need to convince family and friends to vote for Moore-Bell in the May primary.

A big PING!!! to all KY FReepers. If you weren't at the meeting last night, shame on you,you missed a great time!!

Last night was our "123" (1/23) meeting. How 'bout "321" (3/21) as our next meeting? This is two months from now and on a Friday night. Maybe we'll get more folks to show up if we move it off a week night.

I really enjoyed meeting FReepers last night.

Personally, upchuck, I wouldn't have a problem with that date. However, I looked it up, and that is opening night of the NCAA Basketball Tournament. Therefore, there will be 16 games that night, including possibly LOUISVILLE and kentucky. That might keep our numbers down. Just an FYI.

Maybe we could meet and watch hoops at the same time. We have multi-talented FReepers with the ability to do more than one thing at a time.

Isn't that funny? There were Freeper meetings in Ky and Ohio all in the same week. We might want to merge Ky, Ohio and WV into a chapter large enough to be effective.

Finally got around to checking out the thread. Thanks Ron for telling me about it. I really hope I can plan a trip home to coordinate with one of your FReeper meetings. I would so love to get together with the Bluegrass FReepers!

Hey cuz! Glad you made to the meeting but I sure am missing seeing you on FR. Hope you get a handle on all those other "issues" real soon!

I just checked, and I think I have a dinner to attend that evening. Here's what I was thinking, and you all can tell me if, and what, is good for you. Upchuck has a good idea in meeting on a Friday night. (Don't think we have ever done that before.) But it could probably allow for some out-of-towners to come in more freely.

Let me bounce this off you people: how about either Friday, February 28th, or Friday, March 7th ?? I checked, and there are no U of L, UK, or IU games that night (not that it would matter to me, but I know it does to some). And I don't see any Lincoln Day Dinners that night. Let me know what you all think. BTW, I am not saying we shouldn't have a meeting on 3/21, just saying that I don't know if I could make it for sure. Hell, we could do both without a problem. Just means that we may have some freepers at one meeting, and some other freepers attending the other.

From my location, I'd prefer the location closer to Louisville Airport area, near I-65. That would be about a 40 minute drive for me versus the 55 minute drive to the other place. Thanks for your consideration. Right now either date is okay with me.

Please keep me on your FREEP list. I moved to Union, Kentucky, near Cininnati, two years ago. The drive is a bit far but I'm too informed about Cincinnati/Ohio political issues and not enough about my home state.
