Although they have been doing so stealthily, now Hatch has recognized that they are filibustering.

and every 2 hours there after
OK! BUT not on a regular schedule. 15 minutes here, 90, them 47, any thing to keep them up. The republicans need to make a schedule: give each Senator a certain time to sleep.

This isn't a filibuster.Well is it, or isn't it? Dang, I am hoping the Dems will make fools of themselves. (Not too hard to do.) In a filibuster, doesn't the party with the floor only yield to members of their own party? Hatch is speaking now-- why doesn't he just call for a vote?
And if they do filibuster, how long will they have to go? When is the next recess?
C'mon dammit! I want a filibuster! And a live thread here so we can make sport of them!

Oh I see now. We have to listen indefinitely to a Senator who gave the press classified info, the Chappaquidick guy, Diane Frankenstein, and the idiot from NY who thinks he has a right to stop a nominee because that nominee doesn't think like he does.
WOW! And this is the 'Rats cream of the crop. This should cost them another three or four seats next election. HOORAY!!

Sen. Hatch:
"He answered question after question....and he didn't give them anything to hang him with." Sen. Orrin Hatch
Sen. Hatch, "I'm sick of it."
"Let me just talk about fact versus fiction." "Their base is People for the American Way.".and you can name..far left organizations that don't want any Bush conservative nominations at all.
"People for the American Way...one of those left wing groups that is almost always wrong."
PFAW is running the Dem. party. In the Dem. judiciary committee briefing book on Miguel...giving the Dems. talking points on Miguel and they're lies.
Only 3 of the 18 judges previously had judicial experience. Ruth Bader Ginsberg - NO prior judicial experience.
A PFAW letter in the Dem. brief contains talking points repeated by Dem. Senator after Dem. Senator during the hearings. The Dems. didn't look at the facts, or listen to Miguel - though they controlled the Senate and his hearing - questioning him for a whole day. Unelected Ralph Neas, a far-left party activist is the mouth of the Democratic Party in the Senate...a liar.

Make the RATS do this thing the old time way. I 'snail mailed' both Norm Coleman (my new pubbie senator) and Bil Frist. I also emailed & called the White House to suggest that the President take the 'bully pulpit' and point out that there has never, in the history of the US Senate, been a filibuster of a judge at this level.
My part is done, I suggest all of we freepers do the same.

"But the GOP better make sure that nothing else moves forward till there is a vote on Estrada. Make the RATS put their hypocrisy on display for everyone to see. "
Absolutely. We have to be strong enough to stand back and allow the dems to hang themselves on this one. With so many crucial items pending and all that is going on in the world the public will have little patience for this disgusting display of partisan politics.

Heres how to point out how foolish the RATS are. If they truly are undertainabout Estrada, vote NO. It's very simple. Not alloying a vote is an undemocratic trick.

"In the last two years I've watched this war of propaganda waged against President Bush's judicial nominees."
People for the American Way: "Given it's name, maybe I should think about joining it."
"It appears that they are a very busy bunch of people who raise considerable money for left-wing causes."
"Profitting at the expense of trashing other people's reputations may qualify for the (National Enquirer) but it is NOT the American way."
Orrin is nailing PFAW. YEA!
"Not qualified? Give me a break!"

WOW, it was great to see Hatch get worked up like that...if I thought that dems were capable of it, I would think that some of them would feel ashamed of their stand against Estrada.

It breaks my heart that as a Hispanic, these BASTARDS have taken my race for granted!! Also, when W was elected, we all knew here that the leftwing weirdos were going to go HAYWIRE over a republican president, BUT honestly, I didn't think ALL HELL WOULD BREAK loose like it has. Seems the WHOLE world has come against W, not only in our homeland but across the globe. I DON'T KNOW how he does it? Being a christian with LOTS of faith, doesn't mean you are not human. I just don't know how he can carry all these burdens. My heart bleeds for him :( Sometimes I wonder if God has abandon us. That's the flesh speaking and I know that's what satan wants us to believe. But being spirit filled doesn't mean you don't feel the hatred and viciousness people have for you. At this moment because of all that is happening it's difficult to walk by faith and not by sight. I pray we see the hand of God at work soon. I pray our faith will endure and stay strong during these trying times. God bless and protect America!
