Calling All Freepers!-- Making an Appeasenik Crimes List. Please Help!

I am putting together a list of "Appeasement crimes against humanity" to hand to local "peace protestors" at the next Freep. It will also be posted in an FR thread as a handout for people to use in their Freeps. Here's the list I have so far:

American appeaseniks told us Hitler was a European problem. French and British appeaseniks derided people like Winston Churchill who advocated a tough stance. On both sides of the Atlantic they considered the problem solved when Neville Chamberlain returned from Germany declaring, “Peace in our time.”

Appeaseniks opposed any consequential action agaainst Japan by the world community while Manchuria and China were raped.

Appeaseniks’ activities which lengthened the Cold War (by preaching detente-at-any-cost while tens of millions were murdered) are too many to list here.

Appeaseniks waited only a few days to begin telling us that September 11th was our fault, and that we weren’t in a war, but a law enforcement situation. This was perhaps the first time any political movement has ever described the slaughter of 3,000 civilians as a “law enforcement” problem.

Appeaseniks opposed the overthrow of the Taliban. We were told we would end up in a Viet Nam-style quagmire, that we would cause tens of thousands of civilian casualties, cause massive terrorist attacks against the U.S. homeland and make the Afghani people hate us bitterly. We destroyed the Taliban as a military force, caused few civilian casualties despite the Taliban storing their military equipment in residential areas, experienced no more terrorist attacks and witnessed the Afghans dancing in the street.

I know this list is incomplete, for example, Rwanda and the Italian invasion of Ethiopia are not on it. Also, I will be including a section noting the fact that Clinton's non-UN sanctioned bombing in Sudan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Serbia all went unopposed by the Appeaseniks.

Please let fly with suggestions, and if a sign suggestion comes to mind, please include it, too.

Appeasnicks were responsible for the US "loss" in Vietnam, and for forcing us to withdraw. Over 2 million people died as a result, plus more Vietnamese died after 1975 due to the communist takeover, than died during US involvement there.

And let's not forget this timeline:

Prior to the Tet offensive, academics on US campuses are busy praising the North Vietnamese, though massive anti-war protests are few.
Tet offensive begins.
Tet battles play out. VC is destroyed, North Vietnamese cause set back significantly.
Hue is retaken. American troops find mass graves holding 3,000 civilians executed by the VC for "political crimes."
The anti-war movement in the U.S. really begins ramping up. Nobody mentions those 3,000 dead folks in Hue.

Also, the Appeaseniks never really worried much about the deaths in Laos and Cambodia.

"put in there the statement from the 1940 gop convention affirming that america stay neutral in the war in europe and developing situation in the pacific."

I see you have to go waaaay back to find isolationism in the Republican party. Capitulation and appeasement, though, is a modern halmark of leftism. Nicaragua, Viet Nam, Korea, The Cold War, Afghanistan, etc. are all conflicts in which the left suggested we just give up.

BTW, please consider punctuation and capitalization. They are our friends here at FR, unlike your home at DUmmies central.

Appeaseniks are responsible for the mess we're in now with Iraq. They opposed liberating Kuwait, predicting a quagmire. When those poor liberated souls were cheering in the streets, the appeasers championed the idea of sanctions instead of taking out Saddam. They got their way, only to blame the US for killing Iraqi children with the same sanctions.

Check out the essay on this thread. The author lists the appeaseniks' arguments and shreds them to pieces with logic, facts and wit.

Pings coming up.

Appeaseniks waste oxygen, and promote global warming by producing too much carbon dioxide. They are worse than internal combustion engines, and you can't even get one horsepower or a decent trap time out of the bastards!

Oh, they also waste skin and space.
