If it was not theirs to alter, it was vandalism.

"...police on Tuesday said they are conducting a criminal investigation..."
Officers will be interviewing "witnesses" at the local Dunkin Doughnuts. A well criminal known only as the "Hamburgler" is being sought for questioning.

Sounds like another neutered police department.

One of the perps was all over the news last night. Why? She actually came back to the scene to rub her actions in everyone's face. The funny thing is, she stood right there by the police and they didn't sight her or anything. This was destruction of private property.

What the hell kind of investigation is going to take place? They stood right there and watch the perpetrators commit vandalism and did nothing. If anybody should be investigated, it's the police who watched the whole thing take place and ignored it.

Yes...it is apparently legal to destroy the property that is not your own when you disagree with the beliefs expressed. Kristell-nacht is hyperbole as is calling someone a nazi.
But with newspapers and yards signs stolen and now this...one has to ask who exactly the left is calling fascist. Who is "crushing dissent"? Unless you derive that it is acceptable to use these tactics because the opinion held happens to be the majority, how can somone who cherishes free speech even mutely condone this?

Maybe they can start the "investigation" by interviewing the officers who watched it happen.

And the great La Habra P.D. did not arrest her!

It's my understanding she's the one who helped other set fires destroying flags and other materials, then threw other things to the ground. She did an interview on camera where she proceded to say what she did was her right of free speach. Then she proceded to state that she put everything back. Of course that was pure B.S. There were a lot of people around. She was alone. She is one very stupid individual. Luckily nobody took the bait. I'm sure she was dying to have someone do something she could litigate.

Unbelievable. Those perps ought to have '911--never forget' carved into their hides with a boxcutter...
...well, maybe I better calm down now...

Nicely done followup by Debbie Pfeiffer, who sounded a bit surprised on the phone yesterday when I mentioned that her initial article was rapidly becoming famous.

They said the owners of the property that was being torn apart, would have to complain, before they acted. Could you imagine police watching robbers holding up a bank, and then saying they can't act unless the bank presses their alarm, to alert the police of their distress?

Thanks for the info.
I was just talking on another thread about what you allude to. She was looking for reaction...martyr syndrome(see human shields). The left knows the protests are not as effective as they would like them to be. So create martyrs...anti-war protesters beaten by thugs(in reality angry citizens who saw vandalism on a memorial)...anti-war protesters tear gassed by police and have dogs sicked on them(in reality black bloc thugs trashing property and rioting). The left has always needed martyrs and it appears they are now gunning for them.

Must be a thrill for a small newspaper reporter. I think she has done a very good job on this. The reporting was even handed and gave us all facts possibly available.

"conducting a criminal investigation ... as soon as the probe is completed they will take their evidence to the Orange County District Attorney to determine if a complaint will be issued. "Sounds like chief Wigam is going to get something to eat and then cruise around for awhile.

I don't advocate this type of thing, but that lady looked like she would benefit from a good dose of abuse. She was bottom feeding jerk to the people trying to replace the damaged items. She might gain a little respect for her fellow human beings if they exacted a price for such abhorant behavior.

Perhaps the people could have thrown tomatoes or something. I think what those kids did in England to the PETA heads(pelted protesters dressed up as "oppressed" cows with small milk cartons) says this will not be tolerated by the community more effectively without going down a violent path that delivers exactly what the wannabe martyr wants.
