God bless the land of Israel, her people, and Jews everywhere. And I pray that America remains Israel's staunchest ally.
For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.
The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:
But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers...
---Deuteronomy 7: 6-8

I understand the Purim celebration, but I don't connect the costuming with the event/celebration.
To me, it looks like halloween.
As a Christian with very strong beliefs aginst such satan-like act(s)/ing, (trickery/deception [Yea, hath God said]), Evil characterization, (until recently, a devil costume was about tied with the skeletin costume in popularity/sales) ...
and a bunch of etcetera's.
So 'splain please ... what's with the costumes?
(Flame if any will, it won't change my mind ... it is not harmless fun (halloween)
For that matter why point it out at all? Seems to me Reuters is trying to establish a subconscious conflation of all devout Jews with their most extremist fringe. Disgraceful.
