'Birth pains' have begun (End Days Alert) [Open]

The world has endured an almost mind-numbing series of shocks in recent weeks, from the unprecedented swarm of tornadoes across the American Midwest to the death and destruction wrought by Cyclone Nargis as it tore a path through Myanmar, better known as Burma.

There were 368 documented tornadoes in the U.S. in January and February of this year, shattering the previous record of 243 over that two-month period, set in 1999. February's total of 232 tornadoes also shattered previous records.

Cyclone Nargis ripped Burma apart, killing at least 128,000, according to Red Cross estimates, and creating some 2.5 million refugees.

Al Gore was quick to blame global warming. In an interview on NPR to plug his appropriately named book on global warming, "Assault on Reason," he told host Terry Gross: "And as we're talking today, Terry, the death count in Myanmar from the cyclone that hit there yesterday has been rising from 15,000 to way on up there to much higher numbers now being speculated. . … And last year a catastrophic storm last fall hit Bangladesh. The year before, the strongest cyclone in more than 50 years hit China – and we're seeing consequences that scientists have long predicted might be associated with continued global warming."

Maybe. But Germany's Institute of Marine Scientists says we're in for a 10-year period of global cooling. There sure seems to be a lot of opposition to what is supposed to be "settled science."

Global warming can't explain away the devastating earthquake that all but flattened a huge portion of western China. The death toll from Monday's quake is approaching 20,000, with twice that number still listed as missing. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, Monday's earthquake was the 25th "significant" earthquake registered so far this year.

He’s not the one who wrote that little book about 88 signs pointing to 1988, though. That was someone else.

He’s not the one who wrote that little book about 88 signs pointing to 1988, though. That was someone else.

In his book The Late Great Planet Earth, Hal strongly suggested that Christ would return in 1988. He wrote about the phrase "this generation" in Matthew 24:

"What generation? Obviously, in context, the generation that would see the signs -- chief among them the rebirth of Israel. A generation in the Bible is something like forty years. If this is a correct deduction, then within forty years or so of 1948, all these things could take place. Many scholars who have studied the Bible all their lives believe that this is so." (pp.53-54)

Hal qualifies as a consummate "date-suggester".

You're right. Nothing in the Law says that.....but scripture sure points that way: From Xenia and Jeremiah

It seems you are trying to prove something that a) is not taught in the Bible, and b) is inconsequential in any case. It makes no nevermind whether Jesus returns on an old covenant holy days or any other day. The fact is He will return, raise all the dead, and judge the nations. The just we receive eternal life and the unjust will receive eternal condemnation. Anything beyond that is pure speculation. The result of those who do go beyond are Jewish fables.

Do you think these scriptures look like "Jewish" fables?

No, but the spin put on them sure looks like Jewish fables. No offense, but your interpretation is not the same as the infallible Word of God.

BTW, just for reference, the Bible does not teach that Jesus was born on "Sukkot".

at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

BTW, don't some messianics and dispensationalists teach that the old covenant Jewish festivals will be celebrated in the future, earthly millennium? I assume that means they think the Feast of Trumpets will also still be celebrated.

If that's the case, then how can Paul refer to Jesus’ prior second coming as "the last trumpet". Surely it isn't since folks will be blowing trumpets for a thousand more years.

The question is whether you believe and trust
the Holy Word of Elohim in Luke 1
or you trust the traditions of man

Yah'shua's birth on Sukkot
(Sukkot is the Feast of Tabernacles or booths, where we live in temporary shelters.
Sukkot is when YHvH took on a temporary garment to be with His People
and to die as the Lamb of G-d on Pesach in order to bring salvation to all
who would call on His Name : Yah'shua ( YHvH is become my salvation)).

Sukkot as the date is supported by Elizabeth's pregnancy of John the Immerser.
The time sequence is outlined by the Holy Word of Elohim in Luke 1 with Zacharias.

Zacharias served as a high priest and based on his tribe, we know when he served
(1 Chronicles 24:7-18) and when he was struck dumb and when John was conceived.

John would have been born on Pesach. Most Jews believed that Elijah
would come at Pesach to announce the coming of the Messiah (Malachi 4:5).

Factor in when Miriam visited her cousin Elizabeth,
Elizabeth was six months pregnant (Luke 1:26)
Thus the timing of Yah'shua's birth can be ascertained.

John (1:14) tells us that Yah'shua was made flesh and tabernacled among us.

Eight days after the beginning of Sukkot is another Holy Feast Day called Shemini Atzeret.

Eight days after a Jewish male is born he is circumcised.

After the Eighth day comes the the most Joyous day:
Simchat Torah or
the rejoicing in the Torah (The Word of Elohim).

Nine months back from Sukkot is Chanukah where the light entered the temple.

Biblical Dates for the Birth of Yochanan the Immerser and for the Conception and Birth of Yeshua HaMashiach

I'm not trying to prove anything. What I'm trying to show everyone is the lack of Biblical perception in referring to God's Feasts and Sabbaths as "Jewish Fables". I'm not denying that there is such a thing a "Jewish Fables". I'm denying the fact that God's Holy Days should be considered among them.

BTW, just for reference, the Bible does not teach that Jesus was born on "Sukkot".

Yes it does.

Check out the patterns!

Joel 2

15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, declare a holy fast, call a sacred assembly.

16 Gather the people, consecrate the assembly; bring together the elders, gather the children, those nursing at the breast. Let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride her chamber.

***

Blow the trumpet Rosh HaShanah

Declare a holy fast Yom Kippur

Gather the assembly Shemini Atzeret

Fall Festivals!!!

As always there's lots more!

Patterns patterns patterns!

Joel 3:
28 "It will come about after this
That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind;
And your sons and daughters will prophesy,
Your old men will dream dreams,
Your young men will see visions.

29 "Even on the male and female servants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

30 "I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth,
Blood, fire and columns of smoke.

31 "The sun will be turned into darkness
And the moon into blood
Before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes.

32 "And it will come about that
whoever calls on the name of the LORD Will be delivered;
For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem There will be those who escape,
As the LORD has said, Even among the survivors whom the LORD calls.

I’ve heard that the seven days war, 1963, was more or less the date of the generations, but who knows. I sure don’t. It’s been years since I read LGPE, but it was one of those books that led me to the Lord in some ways. I didn’t recall any particular date but I’m sure there was. Whatever, let’s pray we’re ready.

Many believe it is from 1967 when all of Jerusalem was captured.

The Temple Mount in particular is important.

Thanks for your comments. Since you have complained to the RM about my behavior in the recent past, I have no interest in trying to interact with your theories at this time.

Well, the bottom line seems to be that there are lots of theories that all basically lack any definite, undeniable support from the Scriptures. I looks like lots of folks are desperate to set a date without looking like they are setting a date. That’s how they sell books and web site ads.

Looking at church history, the claim that “Jesus is returning soon” is pretty empty from a Biblical standpoint, wouldn’t you say?

It is amazing how some people are so firm in their belief in the fables of man
and reject the plain text of the Holy Word of Elohim.
