You are right, I did not word my reply as good as I should have. I was trying to say that he was fully man, but also fully God. He was man and divine.

Do you think I don't know Jesus was a JEW? geesh.

There is a DIRECT lineage from Peter, 33 to Francis, 2013.

No there is not. There is ONE Head of the Church and He is in Heaven. He is The Rock.

Do you think I don't know Jesus was a JEW? geesh.
Then we can agree Jesus and the Apostles were not Catholic.

If you’re a Christian, then you’re part of a religion. There’s no way to not be if you’re a Christian.

KJB was written in 1607-1610.....Henry the 8th started the Church of England in 1537.....before that he was Catholic....as everyone else was that was a Christian.

That is one ridiculous statement...

Are the angels capable of knowing/hearing our prayers?

When a non-Christian says...’Dear God/(or their name for Him)-, please help me’...is that handles the same way as Christian prayers?

Who hears the prayers of non-Christians?

In the post you are referring to, you will notice that I said “I have read much of what he has said”, not what he has written.
Your reply was: I doubt it since few of his words are translated or even in print.
I am intrigued by that response.
Apparently you are assuming I only read English, and that Pope has said so much it is not possible to read even “much of it”.
Guessing at this, I would surmise that every utterance from his lips have now been written down, for people to enjoy.
And I have read much of it, in more than one language.

Hi Stuartcr, It would probably take a freeper with knowledge beyond what I have. That was just something that popped into my head...I retain bits and pieces of the bible. Don't even remember if it was in the OT. But if I remember correctly it doesn't say the angels hear the prayers, just that they are sent up to God in a censor and are sweet smelling to the Lord.....

Or, I am totally wrong about it...3/4 of a century of life can do weird things to the mind (brain) GG :o)

You wrote:

It doesn’t matter.

“Apparently you are assuming I only read English, and that Pope has said so much it is not possible to read even “much of it”.”

I assumed neither. I wrote, “...or even in print.”

“Guessing at this, I would surmise that every utterance from his lips have now been written down, for people to enjoy.”

No.

“And I have read much of it, in more than one language.”

I doubt it - no matter how many languages you can read.

Now that feeling, I’m getting up in years myself. I’ve always wondered about prayers, but no one seems to want to discuss them very much, especially prayers by non-Christians. Thanks

“I can pray to whoever I want”

Okay, doesn’t mean they can hear you. Only God is even capable of hearing the prayers of every man, woman and child on this planet. To suggest that Mary or some saint is really entertaining the prayers of millions of Catholics is to give them God’s attributes.

I am not going to downplay the profound impact the beatific vision must have on the souls in heaven. I think anyone capable of seeing God is capable of hearing the prayers of millions.

I don’t, since I know it is impossible for the human soul to be omnipresent or omniscient, and I stand firmly on the fact the Bible is filled with prayers directed to God only.

In regard to your second point:
1 Timothy 2

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for ALL PEOPLE— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior.

In regard to your first point:
Catholics believe that a soul in Heaven is different than it was on earth.
