I'm not saying there weren't more who were either chaste or closeted, but in either of those cases, you'd have to keep them under surveillance to know who they were.
BTW, I was just reading about an elite prep school in New York, the Horace Mann School, which had 20+ active homosexual teachers hitting on adolescent and teen boys for a couple of decades before the SHTF. To bad Horace Mann faculty weren't allowed to get married!! Uh... waitaminnit...
No it doesn't. If anything, the majority of clerical sex abuse cases have been been pre-VCII priests. The John Jay report states that abuse cases peaked in 1970, too soon after Vatican II for a large percentage of priests to have been ordained under its reforms. The majority of accused priests were ordained between 1950-1979 (68%) while those ordained before 1950 accounted for 21% of the accused. 62% of the accused priests were born before 1940, so were raised in the pre-Vatican II church and likely ordained or under vows prior to 1965.
Are you unfamiliar with the emissaries sent from Rome to inspect all the seminaries?
Benedict XVI did this — cleaning out the seminaries. And most of the priests of whom you speak are close to retirement.
You are still a Catholic. Why didn’t you move to a parish where the priests were orthodox. One or two or three bad priests does not mean that the entire Church is bad.

An excellent book you might want to read is “Goodbye Good Men” by Michael Rose. It is about the infiltration of the Catholic seminaries by gays. This book explains how gays would enter the church and then secretly bring their gay friends along after them. Some seminaries became thoroughly infested with them. There behavior became very obvious.
I am not sure when this began. I wonder if this may have been the work of Harry Hay the gay/pedophile who started the Mattichine Society back in the 1950’s. He was also a communist in the 1940’s and worked in Hollywood. You can look him up on Wikipedia.
When I was growing up priests were called by their title and their last name —Father Smith, Father McCarthy etc. Then it changed to a first name basis—Father Bob, Father Bill. I like the old way as it was more respectful of the office of the priest. He was more of a father rather than a buddy.

That would mean they would loose pretty much all their priests, which without the Priesthood the church entire would crumble....so ‘instead’.... the first act of the Pope is to say they can be homosexual, that’s ok, but they have to refrain from sexual behavior..... But they wouldn’t be homosexuals if they could control their sexual appetite to begin with. It’s not about “love”...it’s all about unrestrained sexual appetite masquerading as “love” to be socially acceptable to the public.
I have a friend who’s brother went to seminary and left because homosexuals were so “thick” there... and hooking up in between classes where ever they could find a shadow to hide in to carry out their business to relieve themselves. That if you weren’t homosexual coming into the place they would see to it you were before leaving.....needless to say his options were limited...he ran!
I would guess that while there is a larger than average pct. of homosexuals in the priesthood than the general population, probably only a small pct. of priests are homosexuals. Ten percent or less. Ten percent is ten percent too much, but it's not like they're all homos.
