Canada: Taxpayer-funded CBC puts jihad murderer Omar Khadr on its Easter Sunday show Canadian pundit Spencer Fernando calls this “disgusting,” and it is, but it is no surprise. It has been clear for years which side the establishment media is on. It is not on the side of the people in the nations where it operates. It is not on the side of the victims or foes of jihad terror. It would have been far more surprising if the CBC had featured someone who stands up against jihad terror and Sharia oppression of women and others. But if it had...

Canadians across the country have been reaching into their wallets to donate money to the family of an American soldier whom Omar Khadr is accused of killing in Afghanistan 15 years ago. The online fundraising effort – part political protest, part generosity – comes amid a furor over the $10.5 million sources said the federal government paid Khadr for breaching his rights while he was an American prisoner at Guantanamo Bay.

Never mind the 50,000-strong petition against the Trudeau government calling upon Trudeau not to award the notorious jihadist Omar Khadr $10.5 million of taxpayer money; and never mind the injunction filed by the widow of Chris Speers, whom Khadr murdered, and by Layne Morris, whom Khadr blinded in a grenade attack, to block that money being paid out. The Trudeau government has already “quietly paid” out the $10,500,000 to this jihad murderer, and the check has been already cashed, “according to a source involved in the transaction.” This makes the injunction moot. Canadians had no say in the matter —...

A former Guantanamo Bay prisoner who pleaded guilty to killing a US soldier in Afghanistan has received a multimillion-dollar payment from Canada’s government after a court ruling said his rights were abused, a Canadian official said Thursday night. The official confirmed that Omar Khadr has been given the money. A different official also familiar with the deal said it is for $10.5 million Canadian dollars (US$8 million). Both insisted on speaking anonymously because they were not authorized to discuss the deal publicly.

The decision to pay Canadian jihadist Omar Kadr $10.5 million of the hard-earned money of Canadian taxpayers is being opposed by two victims of his jihad. "The woman made a widow by al-Qaida terrorist Oma Khadr and a soldier blinded by the grenade Khadr threw are seeking to stop the Trudeau government from paying the former Gitmo detainee $10.5 million in “compensation.” Two years ago, an American judge in Utah awarded $134.2 million in damages to Tabitha Speer (the widow of Sgt. Chris Speer) and Layne Morris in their lawsuit against Khadr. The plaintiffs had little to no expectations of...

Ottawa is going to apologize and give millions to former Guantanamo Bay prisoner Omar Khadr, according to multiple reports. Khadr — who pleaded guilty to killing a U.S. soldier when he was 15, under interrogation that was later deemed "oppressive" — will receive a settlement of more than $10 million, according to unnamed sources who spoke to The Associated Press, The Toronto Star and The Globe and Mail. The Star said Khadr will get more than $10 million, but less than the $20 million he sought in a civil suit. Other reports said he will receive about $10 million. The...

The Trudeau government is poised to offer an apology and a $10-million compensation package to former child soldier Omar Khadr for abuses he suffered while detained in the U.S. military prison for captured and suspected terrorists at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The Supreme Court of Canada ruled in 2010 that the actions of federal officials who participated in U.S. interrogations of Mr. Khadr had offended “the most basic Canadian standards about the treatment of detained youth suspects.” The court said the action of the Canadian government had violated the former child soldier’s rights under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and...

Keeping Khadr locked up in extremely strict prison conditions will not solve the problem regardless what you believe he is or is not. Arlette Zinck, an English professor at King’s University College in Edmonton, has devised a special educational program to help his rehabilitation. He has reportedly shown progress and we are told he’s been very keen to continue on that path. In my opinion, that would be the best outcome: a Canadian citizen who can reintegrate into society, go to school, and eventually become an active and, hopefully, a contributing Canadian citizen. This outcome is far from guaranteed, but...

A Canadian judge ruled this week that Omar Khadr poses no public safety threat. Tell that to the children of Sergeant First Class Christopher J. Speer and the surviving American soldiers who valiantly fought Khadr on the battlefield. In 2012, Khadr pleaded guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty and guilty to five charges related to the killing of Speer, a 28-year-old medic with the U.S. Special Forces. This young American hero died in Afghanistan in 2002 during an ambush by al-Qaida operatives. Just days before he gave his life, Speer had fearlessly walked onto a minefield to rescue two wounded Afghan children....

EDMONTON - Omar Khadr arrived at his new home Thursday after almost 13 years behind bars — four of them as a convicted war criminal — and asked Canadians to give him a chance to show he's worthy of their trust.
