Untrammeled hubris. This week, Newsweek accused a company controlled by Donald Trump of either doing, or attempting to do, business in Fidel Castro’s communist Cuba. The story is still shaking out and, so far, Trump’s campaign has not commented. I won’t sugar coat it. If it’s true, it’s going to be a problem for the Donald. However, the fact that Hillary Clinton has decided to pounce on the story is absolutely laughable. A woman has been charged after letting crickets and worms loose on a D Train in what she said was a piece of performance art. Actress Zaida Pugh was charged with misdemeanor reckless endangerment, among other counts. She is accused of causing panic by setting the insects and worms free inside a subway car on Wednesday of last week. Pugh’s stunt freaked out a lot of straphangers. Attorney General Bill Schuette released an official legal opinion Wednesday that schools operated by the reconstituted Detroit school district may be closed due to poor academic performance. Attorney General spokesperson Andrea Bitely confirmed that the opinion is binding on state agencies. Schuette's opinion rebuffs a contrary legal opinion Gov.
