Antigua plans to do more than just rename its highest peak to honor President Barack Obama. Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer says his government wants to create Mount Obama Monument and National Park with a new network of hiking trails. He also plans a museum with entertainment and educational facilities. Spencer says Mount Obama will be a "beacon of hope for all people." He outlined his plan to reporters Monday. He did not say how much it would cost or how the government of the dual-island nation of Antigua and Barbuda would pay for it.

I believe that today is something like day 104 and Barack Obama has had 320 news conferences. This guy loves to hear himself talk. But it is more than that. The president is doing one of two things. First, he is either getting things done, or second, he is telling you what he is going to get done. The 320 news conferences are to tell you what he is going to get done because he is getting nothing done. If we are not feeling good about the state of the economy maybe constantly hearing how he is going to make...
  • Why the Far-Left Is Using Meghan McCain as a Political Pawn

LAURA INGRAHAM, FOX NEWS GUEST HOST: With us now is Jill Menin, a Democratic commentator and FOX News radio host, and I've known him for so long I don't want to admit, John Gibson. Both of you, great to see you. JILL MENIN, DEMOCRATIC COMMENTATOR: Good to see you. INGRAHAM: John, I know you have been through this. You host a radio show. When you do a show every day, you do three hours a day, five days a week, that's 15 hours to fill minus commercials. Is this an attempt to demonize and marginalize critics of the Obama administration?...

The GOP's identity crisis just got more interesting with the recent media splash of Meghan McCain, eldest daughter of the senator who did not become president. Young McCain, who began blogging during her father's presidential campaign, recently made waves at The Daily Beast when she picked a fight with conservative media mavens Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham. This is enough sport to make the little dog laugh, to say nothing of the dish and the spoon. McCain, just 24, is one smart cookie. In a matter of weeks, she has created a brand, presenting herself as a fresh face of...
  • Now for Brazil's Barack Obamas - all six of them

Welcome to Obama-mania, Brazil-style. Few countries have embraced the idea of the US's first black president as enthusiastically as Brazil, a country with one of the largest Afro-descendant populations on Earth yet where black faces remain a minority in politics. Obama T-shirts are everywhere while chat shows and newspaper columns are filled with talk of the 47-year-old Illinois senator.

Barack Obama is running for mayor in Belford Roxo, a little town close to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is also trying to become a mayor and a city council member in at least five other towns around Brazil, in the Brazilian October municipal elections. Not that Barack Obama though. Thanks to the Brazilian electoral legislation, which allows candidates to choose whatever name they want to appear on the ballot, Brazilian politicians are using the high name recognition and popularity of US senator Barack Obama to advance their own political career. The Rio Obama calls himself Obama of Belford Roxo....
  • Why Larry Sinclair May be Telling the Truth

For those who are or claim to be unfamiliar with the Larry Sinclair story, let me summarize it as briefly as possible. Larry Sinclair, who now lives in Duluth, Minnesota, claims to have spent parts of the evenings of Nov. 6 and Nov. 7, 1999 with Senator Obama in Chicago. At least as far back as 1986 Sinclair has been in trouble with the law, arrested for a variety of things (fraud seemingly at the top of the list), and had been up to that time in and out of prison. He is an openly gay man, and he seems...

I was just on C-SPAN. The host asked if I was going to vote, and I said yes. Then he asked why. I proceeded to explain, but it seems like the phone may have been cut off - did anyone else hear it? In hindsight, I should have had the closed captionig on, but oh well!

Confession in JonBenet case questioned By CATHERINE TSAI and JON SARCHE, Associated Press Writers 38 minutes ago BOULDER, Colo. - For a moment, it seemed the decade-old mystery surrounding the slaying of a child beauty queen had been solved. But authorities Thursday cautioned against rushing to judge the schoolteacher who made a stunning confession that he killed JonBenet Ramsey. For now, the only public evidence against John Mark Karr are his own words. And questions have already been raised about the details of his story, including whether he drugged the 6-year-old girl, sexually assaulted her or was even in Colorado...

Ankarlo of Ankarlo Mornings on KLIF 570AM reported on Monday that the so called "Peace House" in Crawford, Texas was arranged under False Pretense. Ankarlo was in Crawford on Saturday. He spoke with some of the locals, and one local official. It seems that Cindy Sheehan's pals are the kings of Bogusville. Ankarlo reported that he learned how the house was set up. A man went to Crawford and spoke with local officials and residents. He told them that he was going to open up an outreach center that would help kids and the like. After selling the people of...

Marine Pictured in Photo Unfazed by Fame PIKEVILLE, Ky. - An eastern Kentucky Marine whose battle-grimed face has quickly become a symbol of the fighting in the Iraqi city of Fallujah says he doesn't understand what all the fuss is about. But his mother is thrilled. Maxie Webber, of Robinson Creek in eastern Kentucky, said the close-up of Lance Cpl. James Blake Miller let her know that her son was OK. Webber said she first saw it Wednesday on CBS. "I just sat here and I thought, that's my son," Webber said. "I couldn't believe it." The photograph, taken by...

Winifred Skinner doesn't wear her Tommy Hilfiger jacket anymore. She bought the jacket on sale years ago, before she retired. She wore it as she walked on the east side of Des Moines, picking up discarded soda pop and beer cans, which she redeemed for a nickel apiece, using the proceeds to help pay for her prescription drugs.

President Bush was denounced as an 'evil f---' at a fundraiser this week for Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry. The event, held at Manhattan's Intrepid's Sea-Air-Space Museum Thursday night, featured a vulgarity laced performance by techno-rocker Moby, who invited Kerry onstage for a sing-along tribute to punk rock godfather Lou Reed. As the duo perfomed Reed's classic "Walk on the Wild Side," Kerry "froze," according to the New York Daily News, when Moby reached one particularly obscene portion of the song. Then, after the song ended, Moby denounced Bush to the crowd of Kerry-backers as "an evil f---," the...
