Russian officials claimed their troops have advanced nearly two miles into northeast Ukraine in an attempt to re-conquer liberated territories following a massive drone and missile attack over the weekend. “Over the past three days, the advance of Russian troops… amounted to 11 kilometers along the front and more than three kilometers deep into the enemy’s defense,” the Russian Defence Ministry said in a statement Monday. The advancement came near Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, which was liberated last September and was the recent target of waves of about 70 Russian drones and missiles on Sunday.

Longtime influential conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh announced on his show Monday he was diagnosed with "advanced lung cancer," a shocking announcement in which he said he will miss shows for treatment. “This day has been one of the most difficult days in recent memory, for me, because I’ve known this moment was coming,” Limbaugh said. “I’m sure that you all know by now that I really don’t like talking about myself and I don’t like making things about me… one thing that I know, that has happened over the 31-plus years of this program is that there has been...

San Francisco, CA — Testimony has concluded in the punitive RICO case brought by Planned Parenthood against pro-life activists, including Operation Rescue’s Troy Newman, who exposed Planned Parenthood’s participation in the illegal trafficking of aborted baby tissues and organs. It is a trial that has had its high and low moments. Of note recently was the admission under oath by a representative from Advanced Bioscience Resources (ABR) that is still has a contract with Planned Parenthood to supply them aborted baby body parts. That means the organ trafficking continues — and so do Planned Parenthood’s potential crimes! In another development,...

As tension mounts between Russia and the West, Syria’s brutal seven-year civil war has become an arena for world powers to display their advanced weaponry and ability to project their military might. Russia’s President Vladimir Putin said his country had tested nearly 215 advanced weapons in Syria since his country directly intervened in the conflict to support Syrian President Bashar Assad in September 2015. Russia has shown off both its Kalibr cruise missiles, launched from warships and submarines in the Mediterranean and Caspian Seas, and the ability of its Tu 160 bombers to fly an 8,000-mile strike round trip mission...

Sound Bend, Indiana: April 29, 2014 -- Young volunteers with Tradition Family Property Student Action were ordered to “cease and desist” promoting traditional marriage at the University of Notre Dame on Friday, April 25. “Permission to have a table had been granted through an officially recognized on-campus student group,” said TFP Student Action director John Ritchie. “But that permission was revoked for some odd reason. Police officers arrived soon after...

Let’s consider for a moment the consequences of giving seventh-century savages who are hellbent on destroying 21st civilization advanced 21st century weaponry. Ponder that, if you will. How many tens of thousands of jihad attacks must we suffer to face reality? How many millions of non-Muslims and secular Muslims have to die in order for us to face the truth? Advanced weapons to these devout Muslims waging jihad — nuts, I tell ya. The only people we should be arming are the religious minorities in Syria. The Kurds have established an independent state. Arm them. Protect them. What is Obama’s...

Stephen Hawking believes that one of the major factors in the possible scarcity of intelligent life in our galaxy is the high probability of an asteroid or comet colliding with inhabited planets. We have observed, Hawking points out in Life in the Universe, the collision of a comet, Schumacher-Levi, with Jupiter (below), which produced a series of enormous fireballs, plumes many thousands of kilometers high, hot "bubbles" of gas in the atmosphere, and large dark "scars" on the atmosphere which had lifetimes on the order of weeks. It is thought the collision of a rather smaller body with the Earth,...

Credit: Byoungwoo Kang, MIT A lithium-ion battery electrode described this week in the journal Nature can deliver electricity several times faster than other such batteries. It could be particularly useful where rapid power bursts are needed, such as for laser weapons or hybrid race cars. Test batteries based on the new electrode--developed by Gerbrand Ceder, a professor of materials science at MIT--can be discharged in 10 seconds. In comparison, the best high-power lithium-ion batteries today discharge in a minute and a...

Great Apes Think Ahead: Conclusive Evidence Of Advanced Planning CapacitiesIn a series of four experiments, Mathias and Helena Osvath investigated whether chimpanzees and orangutans could override immediate drives in favor of future needs, and therefore demonstrate both self-control and the ability to plan ahead, rather than simply fulfill immediate needs through impulsive behavior. (Credit: iStockphoto/Michael Steden) ScienceDaily (Jun. 19, 2008) — Apes can plan for their future needs just as we humans can – by using self-control and imagining future events. Mathias and Helena Osvath’s research, from Lunds University Cognitive Science in Sweden, is the first to provide conclusive evidence...

VIENNA (Reuters) - Iran is testing an advanced centrifuge at its Natanz nuclear complex, diplomats said on Wednesday, a move that could lead to Tehran enriching uranium much faster and gaining the means to build atom bombs. Iran says it wants nuclear energy only for electricity so it can export more oil. But it is under sanctions for hiding the program until 2003, preventing U.N. inspectors since then from verifying it is wholly peaceful and refusing to suspend it. Tehran's quest to produce usable amounts of nuclear fuel has been hampered by problems getting a 1970s vintage of centrifuge, the...

Stone Age site yields evidence of advanced culture (Xinhua) Updated: 2007-05-04 20:48 Chinese archaeologists say they have uncovered strong evidence that Stone Age people in southern East Asia were at least as technologically advanced as their European cousins -- challenging the long-standing theory of "two cultures". Excavations at the Dahe Stone Age site, in southwest China's Yunnan Province, had revealed elaborate stone tools and instruments that rivaled those of the Mousterian culture that existed at that time in Europe, said Ji Xueping, chief archaeologist at the site. Dated as 36,000 to 44,000 years old, the Dahe site has since 1998...

This is an amended post from my personal blog. I post it here because I expect it to take off like crazy in the MSM as their "counter-argument" when the Dems start taking heat for their murderous stance on Terri Schiavo. A comment was left by "Mike" who, after making his accusation, failed to substantiate his claim with any facts, a common practice of Leftists, it seems.  He asserts that President Bush, as Governor of Texas, signed a bill then that makes him a hypocrite in his stand on Terri Schiavo now.  I have just two things to say to...

US Navy to order unique aircraft in Saratov 13:12 2004-04-23 The US Navy Department intends to subsidize the development of an advanced Russian aircraft, which will eventually be extinguishing forest fires on US territory. This UFO-shaped flying machine is currently being designed by the Saratov aviation concern. The Saratov aircraft enterprise, which is located in Russia's Volga region, started assembling UFO-shaped flying machines in the 1990s; however, this R&D project was then moth-balled because of financial snags. Many aircraft companies all over the world did their best to design similar flying machines. However, Saratov's aircraft designers managed to come with...
