ISIS Terrorist The Obama administration allowed 1,519 terror-stained foreign refugees into the U.S. last year because their crimes were allegedly committed “while under duress.” The administration last year eased federal restrictions against terrorist activity for refugees and asylum seekers. Under the old rules, these 1,519 foreign nationals would have been banned from entering the country because they supported terrorist causes. But under the new rules for vetting refugees, the secretary of Homeland Security has “discretionary authority” to waive certain cases of inadmissibility relating to terrorist activity. A person could have provided shelter or sold a weapon to a terrorist,...
  • More Asian than Hispanic immigrants: political implications?

By 2065, Asians will surpass Hispanics as the largest group of new immigrants entering the US. Asians will increase from 26 percent of the immigrant population to 38 percent, and Hispanics will decrease from 47 to 31 percent, according Pew Research Center released a report released Monday. Asians currently account for 6 percent of the total US population, but this will increase to 14 percent by 2065, experts say. Pew study suggests that in the past 50 years since the Immigration and Nationality Act was passed, almost 59 million immigrants have moved to the US, pushing the total foreign-born population...

As if the President Obama’s sweeping amnesty measures haven’t compromised national security enough, the administration let 1,519 “inadmissible” foreigners embroiled in terrorism into the U.S. last year because the crimes were committed “while under duress.” Before the Obama administration tweaked a federal law last year, these foreign nationals would have been banned from the country for supporting terrorist causes. But under the changes the Secretary of Homeland Security has “discretionary authority” to waive certain grounds of inadmissibility relating to terrorism. We’ve seen this discretionary authority abused in the last few years and in fact, the administration has eliminated a zero...

Every American has the right to make his or her voice heard. Sadly, 50 years after the passage of the nation’s most important voting law, the 1965 Voting Rights Act, millions of Americans continue to be silenced at the voting booth because of a deadly one-two punch to our democracy – attacks on voting rights and an explosion of unlimited political spending in our elections.

Kerry’s second wife’s first husband’s trust fund owns mansions in Nantucket, Beacon Hill, Georgetown, Fox Chapel PA and Ketchum (not Ketchup) ID. Together, they are assessed for at least $35 million, and are empty most of the year – perfect locations in which to settle the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, to quote the inscription on the Statue of Liberty. Yet Secretary Kerry refuses to roll out the welcome mat. In fact, Kerry has never been particularly charitable even to his fellow citizens, even before his second marriage, when he was sometimes reduced to sleeping on his ex-brother-in-law’s couch....

Pope Francis says bridges are better than walls when it comes to dealing with conflicts between nations, especially regarding Europe’s migrant crisis. The Pope spent 45 minutes speaking with the international media aboard the American Airlines flight that carried him back to Rome after his historic visit to Cuba and the United States, and answered a series of questions on everything from women’s ordination to religious freedom.
  • Why the EU’s refugee crisis? ‘Lack of central authority’

The European Union has no border patrol. It’s one of the many ways in which the bloc lacks power, with its member countries jealously guarding their sovereign prerogative to enact their own laws about defense, police and coast guard. This vacuum of authority, and the failure of EU policy-makers to anticipate how events in faraway Libya or Syria might trigger the flood of refugees now swamping Europe, are some of the reasons the group of 28 European nations originally founded as a common market has failed to deal more firmly and effectively with what has mushroomed into a major humanitarian...

A Right-wing populist party in Austria has made huge gains in regional elections over growing concerns about Europe's migrant crisis. The Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ) won 30.4 per cent of the vote in the state of Upper Austria, the country's industrial heartland, a striking improvement on its performance in the state’s last election in 2009 when it took half as many votes with 15.3 per cent. The party is closing in on the more centrist conservative Austrian People’s Party (ÖVP), which lost 10.4 per cent of its vote from the last election but managed to retain its lead to win...

An accused Salvadorian gang member implicated in multiple homicides was flown out of Louisiana last week by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers to face murder charges in El Salvador. Cesar Amauri Cruz-Marin, 42, is accused of shooting three men in the head in December 2009 in El Salvador, according to a press release sent Monday (Sept. 28) by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Authorities say he is a member of the M-16 gang, also known as Mara Salvatruch. The release says the shootings occurred after Cruz-Marin was removed from the United States in November 2009 and sent to El Salvador.

Paris (AFP) - The far right in Europe is making capital from the hundreds of thousands of migrants pushing into the continent and hopes to turn fears it has helped to fuel of an "invasion" into electoral success. "Their attitude is basically that the people coming in are neither refugees nor migrants, but invaders," said Jean-Yves Camus, one of France's leading experts on the far right. The leader of France's National Front (FN), Marine Le Pen, claims that the migrants are "illegal immigrants who are over-demanding and arrogant" and that three-quarters are not refugees at all, but people who just...

Asians will beat Hispanics to become America’s largest immigrant population by 2055, according to a Pew Research Center report released Monday. The study estimated the United States' immigrant population by 2065 and noted that the turning point comes in 2055 when 36 percent of the migrants will be from Asia. Migrants are estimated to account for 88 percent of the increase in the American population between 2015 and 2065, the report stated. Currently, 14 percent of the population comprises immigrants compared to 5 percent in 1965. "Without the immigrants, the U.S. population would start decreasing," said Pew demographer Jeff Passel,...

In a major shift in immigration patterns over the next 50 years, Asians will have surged past Hispanics to become the largest group of immigrants heading to the United States, according to estimates in a new immigration study. The study looks in detail at what will happen by 2065, but the actual tipping point comes in 2055. An increase in Asian and Hispanic immigration also will drive U.S. population growth, with foreign-born residents expected to make up 18 percent of the country’s projected 441 million people in 50 years, the Pew Research Center said in a report being released Monday....

So, Mr. Secretary Kerry, how many Syrian refugees can I put you down for? In case you missed it, earlier this week, Liveshot journeyed to Germany, which is near France. There he proclaimed that “we” must
admit even more “refugees” — increasing the U.S.’ annual Welcome
ISIS! Program from 70,000
currently, to 85,000 next year, to 100,000 in 2017. What could possibly go wrong? If history is any guide, approximately 91 percent of this latest huddled refuse of your teeming shores will go onto welfare the

Great Satan. That’s the good news. The...

They told me if I voted for Mitt Romney the immigration problem would become worse. I had no idea how right they would prove to be.To set up your Saturday evening on a high note, some terrific news out of the southwest. We’ve clearly been in need of some creative solutions for what to do about illegal immigrants and we’re also very worried about problems arising from the mentally ill and our seeming inability to protect everyone, including the protecting the mentally ill from themselves. Now, at last, someone has come up with a project which is designed to...

Marco Rubio is tough on immigration. I mean, sure, he sponsored the "Gang of 8" bill that authorized amnesty for illegal aliens, and he still supports amnesty for so-called "Dreamers" and at least a "portion" of Obama's executive amnesty for illegals, but he himself would not issue further amnesty, at least until the border is secure. He also supports keeping birthright citizenship in place, which creates anchor babies, and is willing to consider admitting more refugees from Syria. But when the pope started talking about admitting more waves of immigration, Marco started crying. It's clear where his sympathies lie. Marco...
