(Posted to FreeRepublic.com with the consent of Jim Gilchrist) A Special Announcement from Jim Gilchrist, President of the Minuteman Project The Minuteman Project’s “Operation Normandy” has been launched as of 1200 hours today (Monday, July 7). This event will dwarf the original Minuteman Project of 2005. I expect at least 3,500 non-militia volunteers to participate, plus uncounted groups of militias from all over the country. If you are familiar with the Normandy invasion of France in 1944, then you have an idea how large and logistically complicated this event will be. However, there is one difference. We are not going...

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Write-in candidate for Mesa County Sheriff Mike Harlow is being endorsed by the Tea Party. This announcement was made on Wednesday at the Old County Courthouse. Harlow is a Navy Veteran with 17 years of Law Enforcement experience. He describes himself as an unaffiliated conservative candidate. "The sheriff is supposed to be the highest-reigning law enforcement in the county. I’ll make sure that is known and we won't back up to anybody. If I think they don't have business here, then they'll have to lave," said Mike Harlow. Harlow has experience working as a K-9 Police Dog...

Happy Independence Day everybody! I would like to introduce my largest project to date: Attempting to put together one voice per Founder in the most important debate in American History. The most important debate which nobody has ever heard. We are going to make sure people can finally hear it. You can listen to as well as download the files, here. This is still very much a work in progress. I do not believe it is enough that people can read these notes, nor think that simply making the notes easier to read is enough. Given how they are written,...

America’s best and brightest – our troops – are still in harm’s way! Don’t let them face the enemy alone! We began Troopathon in 2008 with a mission of sending care packages to troops serving overseas in the War on Terror. With over 38,000 troops still in Afghanistan, there remains a huge need for support. The Troopathon brings together celebrities, actors, musicians, professional athletes, elected officials and military veterans to participate in an 8-hour fundraiser event to benefit deployed troops. Our broadcasts have featured pro-troop celebrities like Gov. Sarah Palin, Gov. Mike Huckabee, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin,...

...America is partly a imagining of a world without America, but more powerfully it is a virtual courtroom drama as the filmmakers lay out, then carefully refute the Lefts' moral indictments of America: to wit: that America stole the land from Native Americans and Mexico and stole the labor of slaves and the resources from the third world to build its remarkable wealth. Part of the strength of the film is that it uses interviews with leading intellectuals on the Left, including Noam Chomsky, Ward Churchill, Michael Eric Dyson and Alan Dershowitz. It also featured a good deal of archival...

POLLS: Too Close to Call With the election TOMORROW, polls are showing the race between conservative Chris McDaniel and establishment entrenched Thad Cochran a virtual dead-heat.   While the Cochran campaign had a slight edge just one week ago, the McDaniel campaign has seen considerable momentum as of of late due to endorsements by major national conservative leaders from across the country such as Sarah Palin, Rick Santorum and many more.  The election is TOMMOROW and represents one of the only opportunities for the Tea Party to oust a U.S. Senate Republican establishment career politician in Thad Cochran.  With the...

Thank God she has some family members there to comfort her. Praying she gets well soon and gets to go home. Hospitals are no fun. God bless.
  • Help with electing a conservative senator in New Jersey!

    GOP Congress
One week to the June 3rd GOP primary for senator in New Jersey! This week is CRUCIAL for Rich Pezzullo, as he is running in perhaps the most underwatched yet IMPORTANT primary in the country. He is polling either #1 or #2, depending on the poll or the flavor of the day. Nonetheless, he is the most consistently conservative candidate in the race who will caucus with the Ted Cruz / Mike Lee wing of the Republican Party if he wins the primary, then beats Cory Booker. I'll be blunt: This race is not just important for the senate seat,...

Free Republic gets about 40,000 unique hits a day. Going to the state donor numbers, we get about 2300 donors. That is about a 5.5% rate of readers to donors. My testimony is that Free Republic is the best website on the internet. Notice that I didn't say, "the best conservative, small government, pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Gun, etc." website. That is true, but Free Republic is more. I just had a near real time discussion with a FRiend on freepmail. I've had zero pop-ups, ads, thefts, etc. since 1998. It was all discussion all the time. Where else do you get...

To Austin Freepers who gathered at the Texas Governors Mansion in 2000 to fight the left and the media over Bush vs. Gore. One of the most memorable FReepers was TheSarce who was a camera bug and she took great pictures of our battle there. If you remember it was 36 days after the election that AlGore refused to concede and every day there was a huge bank of TV cameras on the (left) side of the street and the Freepers on the governors mansion side of the street (protecting him from the left).
