Unless you are a dead democrat voter stuck in a graveyard, you will notice an awful LOT of businesses are laying people off right for the last three days. It finally hit me, is Atlas starting to shrug or is it merely shuddering only to fall asleep again? Early last year, Shout Bits predicted that the Atlas Shrugged movie would change the world. Well, no, it did not. The movie tanked in the theaters, and not for good reason. Not only was it burdened by media writers who lean left, it was not a very good production anyway. The writing and acting were stilted, and the production values were like a soap opera. I just finished watching the DVD of "Atlas Shrugged - Part 1". I was prepared to dislike the film but was pleasantly surprised that the producers chose to portray the book relatively accurately. They made some upgrades, such as placing the story in late 2016 versus the mid-50s when the book was actually written. Aside from contemporary items like diesel trains, cell phones and modern automobiles, though, the film held up.
