Folks, is it possible that the gruesome murder of our Ambassador in Benghazi was acutally the beginnings of an October surprize gone horribly awry? I believe that somehow, because of all the unanswered questions there...because of the unbelievably chaotic and rushed manner in which the Obama administration tried to cover it up...and continued to cover it up well past all rational thinking would indicate that they were doing ss...and because of just common sense questions, questions like: Why were new security requests for Benghazi denied after two recent attacks, one by an IED in June that left a 40ft...

So THAT'S why President Obama and his spox have seemed so shifty on the Benghazi attack that killed four Americans including the US ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens. There really is a perfectly good explanation for everything. It's just that--darn it!--state secrecy prevents the prez from telling us. Yeah, that's the ticket! Such was the sorry excuse that Mika Brzezinski suggested on today's Morning Jones. When Josh Green of Bloomberg recommended that President Obama get his story in order before Monday's debate, Mika mysteriously said: "there may be some parts of this which they can't talk about, which makes it...

The leader of the Libyan extremist group believed to be behind the deadly assault last month on a U.S. diplomatic complex in Benghazi has yet to be arrested, after being spotted at the scene during the attack, the Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday. Two high-ranking Libyan security officials said Ansar al-Shariah founder Ahmed Abu Khattalah remains at large; he is reported to espouse an ideology similar to that of al-Qaeda's terrorist network. The Sept. 11 attack left four Americans dead, including the U.S. ambassador to Libya. The U.S. government is weighing options for retaliating against the attackers. However, one...

CAIRO — Libyan authorities have singled out Ahmed Abu Khattala, a leader of the Benghazi-based Islamist group Ansar al-Sharia, as a commander in the attack that killed the American ambassador to Libya, J. Christopher Stevens, last month, Libyans involved in the investigation said on Wednesday. Witnesses at the scene of the attack on the American Mission in Benghazi have said they saw Mr. Abu Khattala leading the assault, and his personal involvement is the latest link between the attack and his brigade, Ansar al-Sharia, a puritanical militant group that wants to advance Islamic law in Libya.

We shouldn't be challenging what Obama claims he said on Sept 12th - We should be accepting that he called it an "act of terror" on Sept 12th, and then challenging him to defend the two weeks that followed - challenge the fact that he and his administration, knowing that this was in fact a terrorist attack, chose to spend two weeks denouncing the video instead of denouncing the terrorism: See the link for an effective example of this: Obama's Benghazi Lies

Fox News follows up on Eli Lake’s excellent reporting on the intel after the assassination of Ambassador Chris Stevens, confirming from their own sources that the US knew within the first twenty-four hours that the sacking of the Benghazi consulate was no “spontaneous demonstration” that spun out of control. In fact, they already suspected al-Qaeda of masterminding the planned terrorist attack on the compound days before even admitting that it had been a terror attack at all — and had designated the incident as terrorism in order to pursue one suspect: U.S. intelligence officials knew within 24 hours of the...

Asked directly on Wednesday evening if Tuesday's deadly violence in Libya was "linked to a terror attack" – possibly al-Qaeda – a State Department official demurred: "Frankly, we are not in a position to speak any further to the perpetrators of this attack. It was clearly a complex attack...

@lochnar with a great catch from Candy Crowley's interview with David Axelrod on September 30th. Here's the full exchange for context (video here). I'll highlight what I think are the important parts. CROWLEY: I am joined by Obama campaign senior adviser David Axelrod. I want to pick up on what John McCain and I were talking about. There's a back and forth now about why didn't this administration -- why did it take them until Friday after a September 11th attack in Libya to come to the conclusion that it was premeditated and that there was terrorists involved. John McCain...

Reporter Question: You say you don’t want to play a blame game, but certainly there’s a blame game going on in Washington. In fact, during the presidential debate, Vice President Biden said “We didn’t know.” …White House officials calling around saying “Hey, this is a state department function.”… Are they throwing you under the bus? Hillary Clinton: Oh, of course not, you know -- look I take responsibility. I’m in charge of the state department – 60,000+ people all over the world, 275 posts. Uhh..the president and the vice-president , uh, certainly wouldn’t be…uhh…knowledgeable about specific decisions that are made...

Rest assured that Secretary of State Hillary Rodham-Clinton isn't taking a fall over the Benghazi debacle for President Obama without exacting a price -- a steep price. It's not Bill's or Hill's way to give from the heart. Like the devil, the Clintons expect their due, and gosh darn it, they're going to get it -- one way or another. The Benghazi cover-up is a festering sore on the Obama presidency -- or more immediately, on Mr. Obama's re-election chances. "What did the president know, and when did he know it" is more than a shopworn saying regarding Benghazi and...

The State Department has released a transcript of a briefing that two high-ranking department officials gave to a number of reporters via conference call on October 9 (Tuesday). I am not certain about this, but I believe the transcript was only made public today. You should read it in its entirety; it is the most detailed description I have seen of the events in Benghazi on September 11. While this is by no means clear, it appears that the State Department may have released the transcript as part of the escalating conflict between Barack Obama and Joe Biden and the...

Republican Senate Armed Services Committee members Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) and John McCain (R-AZ) slammed President Barack Obama’s administration after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton claimed the blame for the lack of security that lead to the death of the American ambassador in Libya on 9/11/12. The senators said that Clinton’s claim of full responsibility is a signal that “the White House is trying to avoid any responsibility whatsoever.” The senators say that Clinton’s claim of responsibility is laudable, but there is no way for the White House to escape ultimate responsibility for the failure of intelligence...

"Fox military analyst Col. David Hunt checked in with us again after the revelation that there were multiple listening posts which heard the cries for help from the US Embassy in Libya and none of them did anything. The State Department says they still do not know what really happened in Libya."

just sent out this statement with Senator Kelly Ayotte and John McCain about the attack on our Consulate in Benghazi. "We have just learned that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has claimed full responsibility for any failure to secure our people and our Consulate in Benghazi prior to the attack of September 11, 2012. This is a laudable gesture, especially when the White House is trying to avoid any responsibility whatsoever. "However, we must remember that the events of September 11 were preceded by an escalating pattern of attacks this year in Benghazi, including a bomb that was thrown into...

White House, Obama Campaign, Won’t Answer When President Met with NSC After Benghazi By Fred Lucas October 15, 2012 (CNSNews.com) – Neither the White House nor the Obama re-election campaign will answer when President Barack Obama first met with his National Security Council after the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya that killed four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens. On Monday, neither responded to CNSNews.com, which asked, “‘At what hour on what day did President Obama first meet with the National Security Council to discuss what had happened in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012?” The NSC is chaired by the...

The Associated Press reports: Administration officials say the White House has put special operations strike forces on standby and moved drones into the skies above Africa, ready to hit militant targets from Libya to Mali, if U.S. investigators can find the al-Qaida-linked group responsible for the death of the U.S. ambassador in Libya. But the officials say the administration also is weighing whether the short-term payoff of being able to claim retribution against al-Qaida is worth the risk that such strikes would be ineffective and rile governments in the region. Details were provided by three current and one former administration...

When a politician is in trouble, he usually falls back on what he knows best -- the world he saw around him when he entered into political awareness as a young adult. That's what seems to have happened to the Democratic ticket after Barack Obama's disastrous performance in the Denver debate Oct. 3. So Obama on the campaign trail and Joe Biden in the vice presidential debate fell back on what they know from their formative political years. At least that's the best explanation I can come up with for the Obama campaign's obsession with Big Bird. On the campaign...

One of the Americans killed alongside Ambassador Christopher Stevens in an attack on a U.S. diplomatic mission in Libya Tuesday told ABC News before his death that he was working with the State Department on an intelligence mission to round up dangerous weapons in the war-torn nation. In an interview with ABC News last month, Glen Doherty, a 42-year-old former Navy SEAL who worked as a contractor with the State Department, said he personally went into the field to track down so-called MANPADS, shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles, and destroy them. After the fall of dictator Moammar Gadhafi, the State Department launched...

Obama, Biden and Hillary are hiding behind an amorphous "intelligence community" to explain why they propagated the lie that a video and a demonstration led to the attack on the consulate in Benghazi. Team Obama is now firmly committed to this story. They can't disown it or walk it back. Evidence to the contrary exists. We have testimony that members of the State Department received real-time information about the attack and knew even as it was going on that there was no demonstration and that it was a terrorist attack. They appear to be in a trap of their own...
