A Border Patrol agent who serves in the nation’s busiest human smuggling sector says the unsecured border is not safe. During a recent interview with Breitbart Border/Cartel Chronicles Editor-in-Chief Brandon Darby, Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol Agent Chris Cabrera, in his capacity as vice-president of the National Border Patrol Council Local 3373, responded to a question about safety along the unsecured border areas in South Texas. “My response [to people who say the area is safe] is grab a tent and set up shop for a couple of days — see how safe you are,” Agent Cabrera said.

President Donald Trump warned voters that America will ride a “tidal wave” of illegal immigration, drugs and crime if Senate Democrats’ take over after November’s midterm elections – which would allow them to implement their open borders immigration policy. While speaking on the campaign trail for Republican governor candidate Kris Koback’s in Topeka, Kansas, the president warned voters in the state capital that the open borders plan devised by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) – and supported by every Senate Democrat – will flood the nation with security and economic problems from the southern border. “Every single Democrat in the U.S....

Federal officials will likely reject legal migrants’ requests for visas or green cards if they cannot speak English, says a draft regulation from President Donald Trump’s Department of Homeland Security. “English language proficiency is a skill that also is relevant in determining whether an alien is likely to become a public charge in the future,” says the draft “public charge” regulation. The regulation is intended to help officials exclude migrants who will likely rely on American taxpayers for their health care, welfare, housing, and wages. The draft regulation says: People with the lowest English speaking ability tend to have the...

DEL RIO, Tex. — In this tiny town at the edge of South Texas brush country, a black steel fence runs along the Mexican border. About 15 feet high and topped by small metal spires that bend toward Mexico, it stretches west from a Border Patrol checkpoint for about a mile and a half. Then it stops. Where the fence ends, a creek snakes off the Rio Grande, up through a private ranch where cattle wander between the mesquite trees. There, beside the creek gully, a small black cylinder sits atop a metal pole, looming over the small trees. It...

President Trump and congressional leaders have agreed to a border wall funding showdown after the upcoming November midterm elections and if he plays his cards right, it could result in $5 billion, more than twice what the White House initially sought. While appropriations bills are moving at the fastest pace in over 20 years, with many expected to be approved by Oct. 1, the start of the fiscal year, Homeland Security funding for the wall is likely to be delayed, said officials. Plans are already underway to approve temporary, “stopgap,” funding that will cover Homeland until its new spending is...

A union representing the country's 350 immigration judges slammed Attorney General Jeff Sessions for comments he made that suggested they were sidestepping the law and showing too much sympathy when handling certain cases. “When we depart from the law and create nebulous legal standards out of a sense of sympathy for the personal circumstances of a respondent in our immigration courts, we do violence to the rule of law and constitutional fabric that bind this great nation," Sessions said Monday in a speech to newly hired judges. "Your job is to apply the law — even in tough cases." Immigration...

The surge of Central Americans crossing into the U.S. claiming asylum is no secret around the world. Just a snapshot of those caught entering on any given day is stunning – Nigeria, Romania, Nepal – in addition to the hundreds of Mexicans, Guatemalans and Hondurans. But one of the fastest-growing groups of illegal immigrants come not from the barrios of South America or the slums of Africa, but mega-sized cities in India – 8,000 miles away from the tiny town of El Centro, California, where a handful of Indian nationals are illegally entering the U.S. every day, officials say. Unable...

FULL TITLE: WATCH: TRUMP TELLS DEMOCRATS IT’S ‘STRICTLY PATHETIC’ And “THE WALL IS BEING BUILT” After Mollie Tibbetts Was Permanently Separated From Her Family [VIDEO] President Donald Trump released a new video on social media calling out Democrats for their inability to deal with border security. He called it “strictly pathetic” because we don’t have enough support for the border security, the laws aren’t being enforced as much as we need them to be, we need more manpower, and the sanctuary city status is an absolute downfall to every city that embraces it. We have people who risk their lives...

After an illegal alien was charged with the murder of 20-year-old college student Mollie Tibbetts, Angel Mom Sabine Durden asks, “how many more” Americans have to die at the hands of illegal aliens before the United States’ border is secured? On Tuesday, police officials revealed that Tibbetts’ body was found in a cornfield in the rural area of Brooklyn, Iowa, where she was last seen jogging on July 18. Illegal alien Christian Bahena-Rivera, a 24-year-old from Mexico, has been charged with first-degree murder in her death after police say he admitted to confronting and chasing down Tibbetts. Durden, who lost...

The federal government, coordinating with the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department, is to be commended for nabbing Omar Ameen a couple of days ago. He was wanted in Iraq for participating in ISIS attacks and murdering an Iraqi police officer, so we can chalk one up for the good guys. But ever since the details were made public, people have been increasingly fixated on one question. How did this guy manage to make it to California and be granted refugee status in the first place? (CBS Sacramento) As federal authorities in Sacramento prepare to extradite Omar Ameen to his home country...

Hewing to the Trump administration's key talking points about fortifying the border, dismantling international crime rings and banning sanctuary cities, U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions told federal prosecutors and law enforcement officers in Houston Friday he had their backs and urged the public to support what he called "common sense" measures to reduce gang violence. "This should be obvious: if we want to reduce violent crime we should reduce illegal immigrant crime," Sessions said. "If you're not prepared to lock up dangerous criminals to protect the public, you're not fulfilling your responsibility."

CBS News has learned the number of people caught illegally crossing the United States' northern border is up 142 percent. Border Patrol agents apprehended 445 people entering the U.S. from Canada during the first six months of 2018; that compares with 184 during the same period last year. The northern border is very easy to cross, which was actually the original intention. But it also makes it very difficult to secure. An unguarded metal fence is the only thing keeping smugglers from entering a remote corner of New York State – a small part of the physical security infrastructure along...

WASHINGTON — The Trump administration is expected to issue a proposal in coming weeks that would make it harder for legal immigrants to become citizens or get green cards if they have ever used a range of popular public welfare programs, including Obamacare, four sources with knowledge of the plan told NBC News. The move, which would not need congressional approval, is part of White House senior adviser Stephen Miller's plan to limit the number of migrants who obtain legal status in the U.S. each year. Details of the rulemaking proposal are still being finalized, but based on a recent...

A federal judge on Friday said the government must restart the entire DACA deportation amnesty, including accepting brand new applications — but gave the administration a chance to appeal before his ruling takes effect. The ruling by Judge John D. Bates is a major blow to President Trump, and creates even more confusion about his immigration policy. Judge Bates said Mr. Trump and his Homeland Security Department do have the power to revoke the Obama-era DACA program, but they cut too many corners in the way they tried to do it.

We all know most liberals are hypocrites, but they can’t help it, not really. After all, hypocrisy is intertwined into the very essence of holding to policy positions so utterly nonsensical on their face that defending them requires pretzel-shaped distortions of reality that would make a circus acrobat shudder. But among a sea of hypocrites, some are more hypocritical than others. Enter Senator Cory Booker, who was recently photographed at Netroots Nation - that gathering of Lenin wannabees, each of whom hoping to top the last one’s efforts to come up with a nuttier way to purge the kulaks for...

The underlying growth potential of any economy is shaped not only by productivity, or output per worker, but also by the number of workers entering the labor force. . .What makes America great is, therefore, less about productivity than about population, less about Google and Stanford than about babies and immigrants. Although the "progressive left" fetishizes open borders for its own sake, they nevertheless festoon their arguments with economic ornamentation in an attempt to convince fiscally-minded fence-sitters. Usually, their ploy fails. But every once in a while a seemingly convincing argument is made. Ruchir Sharma's piece in the New York...
