Burger King wants people to feel less guilty about gobbling up its french fries. The world’s No. 2 hamburger chain is launching a new crinkle-cut french fry on Tuesday that it says has about 20 percent fewer calories than its regular french fries. The chain says a small order of the new “Satisfries” clocks in at 270 calories because of a new batter that doesn’t absorb as much oil. By comparison, a small order of its regular fries, sans crinkles, has 340 calories. …

Staff at well known chains including McDonald's, Burger King, KFC and Wendy's were due to walk out on Monday in New York, Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, St Louis, Kansas City and Flint, Michigan. STOCKTON (CBS13) — Two robbery suspects were foiled when a Burger King employee slipped out the back door and made off with their getaway car. Stockton Police say it’s like nothing they’ve seen before. They say two men ran into a fast food restaurant, pulled out their guns and demanded cash. While the two men were inside robbing the cashier, another Burger King employee sneaked out the back. He noticed the suspects’ getaway car running, so he hopped in.

Last year Burger King’s Summertime Menu included a Bacon Sundae but they seem intent on topping that this year with the introduction of the Burger King Rib Sandwich. IMMOKALEE, Fla., - Authorities in Florida said a Burger King employee fired during an argument with his boss allegedly threatened the manager with a knife. Collier County sheriff's deputies said the manager of the Immokalee eatery told them Nicholas Trejo, 21, asked for time off in mid-May for a family emergency, and the manager responded it would not be possible to pre-plan if it was a true emergency, the Naples (Fla.) A father who was trying to eat with his family at Burger King was able to defeat an armed robber by pulling his own weapon and shooting at him, Miami police said. Burger King is testing delivery in a few Washington, D.C. area restaurants as part of a test that will include 16 restaurants by January 23. The fast food chain, however, did not provide details on the timing of a national rollout.
