Driving around today and heard Rush struggling to get his mind around the 47% charge, the meaning thereof, and how to counter these meaningless charges. Part of me wanted to phone in because I know what he is missing. But I've tried before and never gotten through. In the hopes that Rush Freeps or if not then somehow ideas can percolate up to the great Maha-Rushi - here's my attempt to help him out. The RATS think that the "47%" line is the RATS golden chalice their keys to the kingdom. All they really have to do is bring it...

OK maybe this is so obvious not to merit a post. But this occurred to me and I'll put it out there FWIW. It occurred to me how the Obama 2012 strategy is becoming clear as time goes by. 1. Figure out the hyphenated groups that compose your base be they African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, Women, Welfare recipients, enviro-whackos, etc. etc. (OK put airquotes around hyphenated). 2. Come up with a media/social media incident that not only energizes the base but more importantly strikes a strong chord of victimhood. Basically Sandra Fluke/War on Women. Trayvon Martin/War on Hoodies. 3. Make the base...

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Supporters of seven people charged Sunday with breaking into an unoccupied building in downtown Chapel Hill on Monday denied the allegations of a break-in. Police said more than 70 attendees from an anarchist book fair broke into the former Yates Motor Co. building, at 419 W. Franklin St., on Saturday. Police monitored the group until the crowd reached a more manageable size, and then a tactical team moved in late Sunday and arrested seven people.

During Barack Obama’s tenure as the president of the Harvard Law Review in the late 1980s, at least two male student editors complained to colleagues and senior university officials about inappropriate behavior by Obama, ultimately leaving their positions at the journal, multiple sources confirm to THE KANSAS CITIAN.

Disclaimers: 1. This is a shameless vanity. 2. I haven't extensively researched all this occupy Wall Street crapola. 3. I'm mostly responding to what I see on Twitter, Google Plus, Facebook etc. Having said all of that - with all of this Occupy Wall Street stuff I see what seems to be a well orchestrated plan by the left to foment what they hope will ultimately be revolution in the streets. They want their own London riots, their "Arab Spring", their "Days of Rage" call it what you will or use whatever analogy you choose. I fear that this is...

If Sarah decides to run she's going to need an inner circle of top flight talent - pollsters, money people, strategists, messaging people etc. etc. If she's going to run there have to be people waiting on that call from Sarah saying "Let's go". Is anything known regarding if some people are sitting at home waiting for THAT phone to ring? I have not seen anything in this regard anywhere. Does anyone know?

VALPARAISO, Ind. — Police say an 11-year-old North Carolina boy was bitten on the hand by an alligator at a northern Indiana amusement park after a man invited nearby children to pet the 2-foot-long reptile. The Post-Tribune of Merrillville reports the bite Ryan Strand of Concord, N.C, received to one his fingers Sunday wasn't serious. But police are trying to track down the unidentified man who lifted the alligator from its enclosure at Zao (Zay-OH') Island in Valparaiso with a noose and told children they could pet it. The boy's mother, Donna Strand, tells The Times of Munster she and...

Durham, N.C. — The former director of a North Carolina Central University program designed to help minority students used an unauthorized bank account to divert more than $1 million from the program over six years, according to a state audit. The audit released Tuesday also criticized N.C. Central for its lack of oversight for the Historically Minority Colleges and Universities Consortium. Chancellor Charlie Nelms said in his formal response to the audit that he was "saddened and outraged by the findings of wrongdoing." "I cannot allow the misguided actions of a few to overshadow the intrinsic benefits of the tutoring,...

Durham, N.C. — Healthier food might soon be coming to a corner store near you, thanks to an initiative by local, state and federal governments to bring better eating options to areas without grocery stores. Those who live along Angier Avenue in east Durham can buy food, but most of it is not very healthy. A mini mart sells candy and snacks, and a diner features a one-pound hot dog. The federal government calls places like this "food deserts." "All the grocery stores have left, and all that people have access to is what's in a convenience store," said Sheree...

DUBLIN — President Barack Obama opened a six-day European tour Monday in Ireland, a chance to celebrate his own Irish roots and give a boost to a nation grappling with the fallout from its financial collapse. After an overnight flight from Washington, Air Force One touched down in a rainy and very windy Dublin. It was Ireland's worst storm in months, and although the skies soon cleared, the winds gusted heavily throughout the morning's welcome events with government officials. The meetings with Ireland's president and prime minister and with U.S. embassy staff were preludes to the unlikely centerpiece of the...

Chapel Hill, N.C. — An alleged hate crime against a gay student on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill campus last week was false, officials said Tuesday. Chancellor Holden Thorp said a student who told authorities he was branded with a searing hot object because of his sexual orientation filed a false police report and that it will not be reported as a hate crime. Quinn Matney, who is gay, told authorities April 5 that a man walked up to him near a foot bridge on campus, called him a derogatory name, told him "here is a taste...

..... He is the Cargo Cult President. At least the real Cargo Cult followers built real things that looked like landing strips to get airplanes loaded with food and supplies to land on them. Obama thinks you get factories to produce things and hospitals to fix people by making speeches -- speeches that are reasonably good imitations of speeches given by real leaders. ........

Sitting at my desk looking at my (now empty) Starbucks Cup. It says: The Way I See It #289 So-called "global warming" is just a secret ploy by wacko tree-huggers to make America energy independent, clean our air and water, improve the fuel efficiency of our vehicles, kick-start 21st-century industries, and make our cities safter and more liveable.
