Treating gun owners like sex offenders in the name of "sunshine" By Michelle Malkin · March 13, 2007 09:45 AM Shame on the Roanoke Times. Last Sunday, its columnist Christian Trejbal published an online database of registered concealed handgun permit holders in the New River Valley under the sanctimonious guise of "Sunshine Week:" Today is the start of Sunshine Week, the annual week in which we reflect on the importance of open government and public records. To mark the occasion, I want to take you on an excursion into freedom of information land. We're going to find out who in...

English comentary on a German magazine called Stern, from Davids Medienkritik Blog More Anti-American Populism: Stern Labels New Prison Photos "War Crimes" (By Ray D.) Moral relativism: It has become the calling card of the Angry Left in Europe. Mass murder is swept under the rug while every imaginable fault of the world's greatest force for democracy is placed under the most intense media scrutiny. Stern magazine makes this point for us. The publication's online edition has rushed to label new pictures of Navy Seals apparently mistreating Iraqi prisoners as "war crimes." This before the pictures have even been officially...

The responses to this article against homosexual "marriage" made me angry, especially the one comparing mixed marriage to gay unions. As a product of at least 3 generations of mixed marriages from both parents I find it EXTREMELY insulting to be compared to homosexuals. First of all, their is only one "race" on this planet, the human one. Second, the minor physical characteristics which make us look different; melanin in the skin, bone structure, hair follicle shape, etc--are all physical, observable characteristics that are immutable. Conversely, there is no gay gene! I am continually outraged by the comparison of mixed...

Testimony from Faith Freedom International: Why I Left The Islamic Faith Richard L. Dixon Hello my name is Richard L. Dixon and I am also an ex-convert from Islam. I converted to Islam in the spring of 2003 while working at DePaul University as the acting director of Dining Services. I had just gone through a painful divorce and rejected my relationship with Christ. Up to that point before my conversion, I had been studying Islam for close to a year. In fact I even wrote a paper defending Islam as a religion of peace and tolerance (I would be...

My older sister will never listen to her "baby" sister (me), but will listen to every peice of liberal anti-war, anti-Bush scribble on the net. She recently sent me the following about the "cost of war:" http://www.costofwar.com/ The home page for this is http://www.nationalpriorities.org/ I know many people here are more knowledgeable than I am, and will have information on hand to counter this while I am still looking for it. If you can help, please post resources. I'm still trying to educate my sister and her friends, and I hope they see the light one day. Thanks all!

Found this via Little Green Footballs. Muslims are trying to stop the release of the book Prophet of Doom by Craig Winn, which dares to criticize Islam. Whiney Islamists apparently don't realize they are in America, not Saudi Arabia. If I had a dime for every anti-Semitic and anti-Christian book sold in America, I could buy George Soros. Bookstores routinely sell The Case Against Christianity by Michael Martin, The Encyclopedia of Biblical Errancy by C. Dennis Dennis McKinsey, and MANY more such titles, why shouldn't it sell this? Free speech is for everyone, and it may not always be the...

Via Dhimmiwatch: http://www.jihadwatch.org/dhimmiwatch/archives/003809.php November 05, 2004Washington: State Department sets up prayer room for Muslims Hey, that's swell. I can't wait to pray in the new State Department chapel for Christians. What's that you say? There is no such place? How's that again? Establishment clause, you say? What's that? From AP, with thanks to Ali Dashti: WASHINGTON — In a gesture to Muslims, the State Department on Thursday set up a prayer room for some 150 guests invited to dinner by Secretary of State Colin Powell to end their daylight Ramadan fast. Rugs were placed in the well-furnished room off...

I returned from working the polls in predominately black North St. Louis at about 10pm. We closed right at 7 and were out by 9:30. It was a record turnout I'm sure. Everyone from the very old, to the very young, including some who appeared to be mentally affected and some who appeared to be homeless. Some people who were obviously 30, 40 and much older said they were first time voters. One powerful and obvious theme was hard to miss among the voters: They were all afraid that someone wanted to keep them from voting. Really, their fear...

I am posting the flyers placed recently in North St. Louis, a predominately black area. The first one is from the group Americans Comming Together. It implys that republicans used waterhoses on blacks during the civil rights movement, although, as someone here pointed out, it was actually democrats who did this. See for yourself: The next one we found Sunday, on the windshields of cars at churches. We were putting out pro-bush, anti-abortion literature. Notice it's from "Clergy." I guess they don't care about Kerry's view on abortion: I was quite mad when I saw these. Complete condescending lies....

Is your protest vote worth 4 years of John Kerry? Are you willing to risk appeasing terrorists, sellout to the UN and the EU, more taxes, less for the military, homosexual marriage and activist judges who will be there long after the president is gone, your for vote today? Sometimes you have to lose a battle to win the final war. Is a vote for a candidate who will not win worth 4 years of Kerry’s extreme liberalism? I hope not.

General Clark on Bush's Missing Explosives General Wesley Clark released the following statement today in response to President Bush's remarks today about the missing explosives in Iraq: “Today George W. Bush made a very compelling and thoughtful argument for why he should not be reelected. In his own words, he told the American people that “…a political candidate who jumps to conclusions without knowing the facts is not a person you want as your Commander in Chief.” “President Bush couldn’t be more right. He jumped to conclusions about any connection between Saddam Hussein and 911. He jumped to conclusions about...

Lambda Legal has the following posted on their page and extends thanks to these organizations for helping their "civil rights" work for gays, etc. I suddenly have a strong urge to cancel my prudential insurance policy. While I couldn't find any reference to Lambda Legal on Prudential's website, their diversity brochure promotes a strong message of special treatment for homosexual behavior. I'm posting this for awareness in case anyone wants to take their business elsewhere.

Another "forgein leader" for Kerry. God help us if he's elected. Ansar al-Sunnah Army Congratulates Tawhid wal-Jihad, Refers to Usama Bin Laden as "Our Shaykh" Globalterroralert.com (10/21/04): The Ansar al-Sunnah Army in Iraq has issued two new statements, including congratulating Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's Tawheed wal-Jihad Movement on being designated by the White House as a terrorist organization. Referring to Usama Bin Laden as "our Shaykh", Ansar Sunnah boasted that John Kerry's recent criticisms of President Bush's efforts in the war on terror have "increased the joy in our hearts."

From the Rodger Morrow Blog: Hail Mary (Cheney) play? In the past 10 days or so, the Kedwards campaign has: Accused the Bush administration of planning to reinstitute a military draft. Recycled the "no blood for oil" canard of the looney left. Alleged that the Bush administration is somehow in the pocket of the Saudi royal family. Told voters that, if they elect John Kerry, "people like Christopher Reeve are going to walk, get up out of that wheelchair and walk again." Suggested that President Bush was planning a "January surprise" to privatize Social Security. Advised Democratic campaign workers...

I received this from Marylyn Musgrave who authored the Federal Marriage Ammendment. Of course, she is being attacked by the wealthy homosexual lobby who think they can buy American culture and twist it to their liking. I hope people can help her out and she stays in office. Friday, October 15th, 2004 Dear friend of the family, Radical homosexual-agenda leaders have declared me Public Enemy #1 and are spending over a million dollars on vicious, false TV ads to defeat me. I need your help. You may know that I have been the U.S. House leader to protect...

Open plea to all Freepers I sincerely and humbly ask all of you to please write an email or make a call concerning the Sinclair documentary. The left if extremely busy and they could win this battle. This is not a flame or an insult, but an earnest plea for you to raise your voice in defense of this great country. For those of us not in the military, the most important thing we can do now is work to keep John F. Kerry out of office. He will drag us into an abyss of liberalism and amorality, appoint...
