"There is a mini logical proof I use when debating people in favor of strict gun control: Part one - Ask; "Do you think that criminals (murders, rapists, bank robbers...), people who by definition are law breakers, will respect gun control laws?" If they answer yes - back to part one, rephrased slightly, until they give you the only valid answer; that law breakers break the law. When they answer no - move to part two Part two - Say; "So what you are saying is that the only thing gun control laws due is prevent the law abiding citizens,...

"Just to recap: Katrina -> Local problem/issue, local screw up, federal save, President gets blamed. BP Oil Spill -> Federal problem/issue, federal screw up, locals stepping in, President not blamed."

There have been a number of threads regarding the so called 'pirates' on the US-Mexican boarder, but no one has looked at this from the pirates perspective... "Pirates is such a derogatory term. These people are really just an 'undocumented military/police force'. All they are doing is trying to earn a little money to feed their family. They are doing a job that no American is doing either; namely patrolling the boarder." (Yes this is sarcasm)

First watch this video if you have not already seen it. Is the Obama administration intentionally trying to restart the 'war' they had with Fox News? You would think they would remember who came out on top last time and steer clear.

You can see in the video that he is running around being disruptive, but does not appear to be threatening anyone. Excessive force?

Olbermann may not have liked people holding up a mirror to him when he asked 'Where Are The Black Faces' at the Tea Party Protests, but it appears that MSNBC.COM has done nothing change their appearance to counter it. Indeed they went the opposite way. Picture embedded below.

Below I (hopefully) posted pictures from the Immigration Rally in Union Square (NYC) which show the scope of how many communists/socialists were there, and some Nazi comparisons. Head to the source for pictures showing the Union turn out, attacks on Bush (someone should really tell these people he is no longer president), and many more. "On to some pictures. I will start with two crowd shots so you can make your own estimate. The images could not be stitched together because to many moving people would have made it look awful. With that in mind, just imagine the shots side...

Massive delicate NASA Satellite turned into a runaway wrecking ball thanks to some unexpected winds. Thankfully no one died, but there were a few people that had to scramble for their lives. You can see the video here.

Based on some new calculations NASA has concluded that lunar craters may be electrified. While trying to resist throwing in a few puns about the 'shocking news' it may legitimately create a problem for future lunar missions. The reason is that the craters may contain water; water we want to probe for signs of life and to use as a resource for a potential colony. Knowing the problem is good, but there are no obvious solutions given the lack of grounding available in the craters. That means people or instruments may remain charged for well over a minute. You can...

I went to the NYC Tax Day Tea Party today. I kept a lookout for crashers, and the following pictures are my thoughts on possible crashers. I am not really sure about the top one (two pictures, front and back) and would like to know your thoughts on if you think they were crashers. You can see the rest of my pictures from the event at http://www.bermanpost.com/2010/04/tax-day-tea-party-nyc.html if you are curious.

As I celebrate the freeing of my people from bondage, praying for the day when all people can be free (and adding the traditional 'next year in Jerusalem'), it was hard to ignore the intentional slap in the face by the RNC. The RNC reimbursed a donor for the few thousand they spent at a 'Bondage themed night club'. Coincidence; I think not. The donor may have repaid the expense, but the slap is still there.

As you representative returns home, they will try to justify their health care vote to protect against the coming backlash. You should ask them a simple question, "what does 'Insurance' mean?" This stems from the part of the bill forcing insurance companies to provide coverage for preexisting conditions. ... Here is my logic/trap: 1) Insurance is small payments (or premiums) in return for a promise that in the event of a specific event the company will give you a large sum. The small sums are a fee for the company to take on your risk. 2) Welfare is aid money,...

I went to a range in NYC about a month ago and the target has been sitting on my wall since. Should I leave it their, put it on my window leading to the fire escape facing outward, or on my door? Can not figure out how to include the poll, so if you want to vote just click on the picture (or I will read through the comments and count them as votes). What do you do with your targets?

Over the weekend I got a fortune cookie that read "You are not illiterate". Not the funniest fortune I have seen, but not bad. What is the funniest legitimate (as in not a friend pulling a prank) you have seen? The two funniest I have seen were "You will be hungry soon, order take out now" and "Lock the door, someone is coming". Can you top those?

Chris Matthews (MSNBC) agrees that the Israelis do not like Obama because he is black. Basically, Israelis are just racists. If you want so see the video, which has links to the real reasons that Israelis are rightly worried about Obama here. Honestly though, if you have been paying any attention at all it is not really necessary. My question is why Mathews continues to make ridiculous statements such as these. Does he do it for the attention, or does he genuinely believe it?

Do I just have a dirty mind or is this picture a not so subtle 'Happy Ending' advertisement?

I took a calculation based look at which country should be considered the overall winner of the Vancouver games based on four different metrics, and then had to do another round of calculation given the split results between them. See the calculations and logic hereOr, if you do not feel like reading through the post to find the answer, the Winner was the United States with Germany taking second, followed very closely by Canada in third.

When I first put up ads at my site I said I plan to donate some of the money that I make to worthy causes/organizations. Now that I have passed the threshold and have a check heading my way, I am soliciting suggestions for military charities you consider notable. You know what a good charity is I am hoping you vets will know good military charities; especially the smaller ones that do great work but do not get the attention and really need the money. You can comment with your suggestion(s) here or at the post, you do not need...
