I don’t understand. Q&R get cancelled, yet there’s still a six-month non-compete, so the earliest they can be on air again is May 18, 2014. Surprised we can still get podcasts. Merry Christmas to all.
Way to go! Well done. One of the comments from the article on THR was head-scratching:
Kudos to this group for graciously and with class making their point and kudos also to the Hollywood Reporter for this well-written, interesting piece. Strange I've never heard about this group before, but the article says they've been protesting at this dinner for 13 years in a row.
I guess the real question is who are the ones that ARE going. [Jimmie] Johnson, Denny Hamlin, Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch, Clint Bowyer, Jeff Burton, and Matt Kenseth will attend. Also, Kurt Busch will be going to WH after all.
Jason Altmire is a feather that floats in whichever direction the Pelosi winds fly. He likes to think himself the independent minded sort, but that's only a facade in an attempt to endear himself to his mostly conservative constituents.
I hope Mary Beth has better luck than Melissa Hart had.
From the Ford earnings press release: Ford, Lincoln and Mercury third quarter sales were 5 percent higher than a year ago in the U.S., making Ford the only full-line manufacturer to report a sales increase in the period. In September, Ford sales were 6 percent lower than a year ago. This followed a 2 percent increase in July and a 17 percent increase in August, marking the first time in four years that Ford is reporting a quarterly sales increase.
Translation: It was all due to "Cash for Clunkers" moving up car sales into this quarter. We'll pay for it next quarter. Good for us that we weren't dumb enough to take the Obamanation bribe, but we aren't out of the woods yet. A dead cat bounce if there ever was one.
USEless TODAY does not publish Sunday, so Monday is their first chance to report. I don't see anything on their website either (holding nose as I scroll thru website).

On top of that, ExxonMobil's tax burden for the just finished second quarter was 50%! I guess to the wacko left, their down profits were still a windfall. Lord help us all. Cheers
