A recently debate on Facebook required that I Voxsplain how a free society allocates resources to a group of feeling, sensing liberals who don't have the slightest idea of economics. In fact, when it comes to Economics, they resort to "magical thinking." I've often thought that it is easy to describe a Democrat: simply picture a Republican, then take away reason and accountability. (Hat tip to Mark Andrus, As Good As it Gets) So, I think it's rather funny that you guys want to lecture me on science, but you don't spend a minute thinking about the humble science of...

...America is partly a imagining of a world without America, but more powerfully it is a virtual courtroom drama as the filmmakers lay out, then carefully refute the Lefts' moral indictments of America: to wit: that America stole the land from Native Americans and Mexico and stole the labor of slaves and the resources from the third world to build its remarkable wealth. Part of the strength of the film is that it uses interviews with leading intellectuals on the Left, including Noam Chomsky, Ward Churchill, Michael Eric Dyson and Alan Dershowitz. It also featured a good deal of archival...

Sara Palin is a gifted politician. Her love of country is as clear as a winter's day. She could be a good president, maybe even a great one, depending on circumstances. She has all the attributes of a leader: she's personally charming, down-to-earth, she's attractive, but her writing drives me crazy! Every sentence she composes or utters in real-time is a convoluted mess of subordinate clauses. Every idea introduced gives way to a meandering aside, a parenthetical more

President Obama is slated to fly to Texas Wednesday to attend a memorial in West, TX for the victims of the plant explosion there. On Thursday, he will attend the dedication of George W. Bush's Presidential Library on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. This will mark the President's third trip to a so-called "red state" since being re-elected. In contrast, he has made 18 trips to states that voted for him in the last election, what we are calling "blue states." http://bit.ly/11ydMu4 To be fair, several of these blue states qualify as purple, such as Virginia...

Egypt's president is a current member of the Muslim Brotherhood. The Muslim Brotherhood is the ideological parent of Al Queda and other violent Jihadist groups waging war against the U.S. in particular and the West in general. As recently as 2010, President Morsi labelled Jews as "descendants of apes and pigs." The current administration rightly called those remarks "deeply offensive." We have no reason to believe Mr. Morsi does not still hold those beliefs, protestations to the contrary notwithstanding. He has recalled no transformative event which caused him to change his thinking. Thus, Egypt's Morsi should not receive any more...

As God is my witness, I will not let the media, the Republican establishment, David Axelrod various billionaires or any other vested interest, choose the nominee of my party, the GOP. If we loose in Florida, we'll fight in every primary and caucus all the way to Tampa though multiple ballots, until we have a nominee that will bring the fight to Barack Obama. We will nominate a man or woman who can clearly and artfully defend the concepts of individual sovereignty, natural rights and the objective morality of economic freedom. Because to the Left (and the Republican establishment: McCain...

While Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich has been mocked repeatedly by his chief rival, Mitt Romney, there is a compelling series of arguments to be made for returning to the moon, this time in the form of a permanent Lunar colony. Indeed, the Lunar colony idea had been articulated by President George W. Bush in 2004 and was based on solid research developed by many serious thinkers in the space community. It had also been ratified by 2 different congresses, in 2005 and 2008. In fact, the first lunar colony was planned in the mid-1960s, called ALSS (Apollo Logistics Support...

Dear Mitt: In this year's contest for the Republican nomination, you have demonstrated your ruthlessness. Your attacks on fellow Republicans have show that you are willing to be as brutal, vile, and remorseless as is necessary to defeat your opponent. Presumably, this is how you made $200 million in about 12 years at Bain. In 2008 and now in 2012 you have left a field of wounded warriors in your wake: Huckabee, Giulianni and now Newt. We can see you are willing to be as dirty and nasty as you need to be to win. But the question remains, will...

A review of Mr. Obama's calendar as posted on the White House Website, shows that the president failed to hold even one meeting with his highly touted Economic policy adviser, Gene Sperling, appointed earlier this year. During the same period from January through June, the Vice President, Joe Biden, conducted 6 meetings with Mr. Sperling on March 29 and 30, on April 15, 24 and 28 and on May 4th. more here

According to the White House, the President doesn't work all that much. During the month of May, which included 21 working days, President Obama claims he worked about 92 hours (91.95 to be exact). That's according to the White House schedule, posted on the whitehouse.gov Website. That equates to an exhausting 4.4 hours per day. Excluding his grueling G8 summit travels during the week of May 23 (when he was forced to endure eight hour work days!), Mr. Obama worked an average of 3.25 hours per day when at the White House in May. Indeed, the President's schedule is so...

A caller to the Rush Limbaugh show today pointed out an interesting factoid about the so-called "long-form" birth certificate, which the Obama White House released today. The document is a .pdf file which can be downloaded from this link. The file is an Adobe Acrobat ".pdf" file, which can also be opened by Adobe's other graphics programs Photoshop and Illustrator.

FAIRLESS Hills, PA At an event at a Spanish windmill firm in Pennsylvania, President Obama suggested Americans consider selling their gas guzzlers for more fuel efficient cars. The president chided one questioner, saying: "If you're complaining about the price of gas and you're only getting 8 miles a gallon, you know, you might want to think about a trade-in." The Associated Press reported that Mr. Obama made the comment "laughingly." However, the quote has been scrubbed from the original linked page. Fortunately, Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit captured a screenshot:

We all have our reasons for preferring freedom to the enticing promise of government support, which comes at the unmistakable price of submission, despair and ultimately tyranny. In this watershed election it's critical that WE, THE PEOPLE, send an unmistakable message to the government: We will not be your vassals, slaves or serfs. We will not beg you for the crumbs off your table....
