Senate agrees to expand concealed handgun permit use to purchase pistol The Associated Press RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Senate tentatively agreed Monday to a measure that would allow people with concealed handgun permits to purchase a pistol without filling out an additional license application. The bill would allow the holder of a concealed weapons permit to use it to purchase a handgun. Otherwise, the holder must get a separate pistol purchase permit to buy the gun.
