Mullah Omar, was believed to be hiding in the mountains around Baghran in Helmand province, about 160 kilometres (100 miles) north-west of Kandahar. There's a relatively new talk team on WABC Radio, New York (The Mouse) in the evenings, John Batchelor and Paul Alexander, whom I admittedly was tuning into occasionally after September 11. While various aspects of American Airlines Flight 587 have been discussed by various officials and in various news reports, I have not yet seen mention of, nor official condolences for, the U.S. Sky Marshal(s) that was assigned to this international flight.
