WVGOP HISTORIC WINS Biggest House and Statewide Wins in 80 Years CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Republican Party will have more Delegates and Statewide elected officeholders than any year in the last 80 years. "We gave folks tremendous choices up and down the ballot. Tonight, we added at least ten new Delegates, three new State Senators and elected the first Republican attorney general since 1928 in Patrick Morrisey. Allen Loughry is exactly the...

"Where can I find out if something is a "law"? Supposedly, Michelle Obama made a law that all chocolate milk in the school milk cooler has to be in the back so the kids can't reach it. She doesn't want the elementary school kids to have chocolate milk, but if we sell it, then it has to be "hard for them to reach". So, little kids are crawling in to my milk cooler, hands are getting hurt, fingers are getting smooshed, etc etc and I'd like to find out if it's an actual "law" instead of just something she's "suggesting"....

HOPEWELL TWP. — U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter said Monday that he is confident the Senate will pass meaningful health-care reform. “You’re not going to satisfy everybody, but I think we’re going to get a bill that’s going to be a pretty good bill,” he said shortly before meeting with 10 Beaver County Democrats at the American Serbian Club in Hopewell Township. Specter, D-Philadelphia, said reform will prohibit insurance companies from discriminating against Americans with pre-existing conditions and encourage annual examinations that can catch illnesses before they become more expensive to treat. As for U.S. Rep. Jason Altmire, D-4, McCandless Township,...

Balkan Training Camps Pose a New Attack Threat Apr 01, 2005 Summary German intelligence's discovery of a militant Islamist training network in Bosnia and Kosovo, with roots on the Afghan-Pakistani border, suggests that some jihadist networks are still able to reach across the globe and stage attacks. Analysis Europe faces potential attack threats from European-looking Islamist militants. Sources in German intelligence and the Israeli government say the militants in question, Muslim Albanians from Kosovo's Orahovac region, are getting advanced training in Kosovo. This was discussion on another thread as to who would get Time's prestigious Man of the Year award. It was suggested that John O'Neill should. It just seems unlikely that this will come to fruition. So who needs Time, anyhoo? Freeper tazannie suggested that we have our own "Man of the Year" awards and Jim gave his blessing to let the nominations begin! I suggested that the winner be the guest of honor at the Freeper Ball. Wouldn't that be a blast?
