I think the Peter Principle took effect. DeSantis has been a great state governor. I salute him for the stands he has taken on different issues and the end results. I just don’t feel that he is presidential material at his point in time. Maybe never.
I think Wet Backs would be very upset being compared to these clowns that now cross the border. The Wet Backs of an earlier time were primarily men who came to this country to work and send money home. They also went home annually to spend time with their families. Most probably lived in sub par conditions and did not get all the federal benefits bestowed upon today’s aliens.
Not exactly, but I see the relevance. They can cross where there are Border Patrol and be allowed in, but traversing privaely owned ranch land is a different story.
Why does that matter to you? Illegal people trespassing on his property, opened the door. What gave the illegal trespassers the belief that they would be allowed to trespass on private property and not suffer the results?
I agree that the FDA is responsible for the mess and someone should have known early on or figured out at some time that babies need formula and if it isn’t there, then a problem exists.
I also agree that the amount delivered to many places might be suspect. Actually they are suspect.
However, I disagree that there is a sufficient supply when the producer of 40% of the baby formula in the US is not producing for months.
There needs to be a thorough investigation by someone outside the FDA to determine what the heck was going on.
I loved Stuckey’s when I was a kid also. Sorry to see them go. I loved the Pecan Divinity candy. However, they don’t even compare toa Buc-cees. The first time I stopped was from curiosity because I saw this huge convenience store with a whole bunch of gas pumps. I walked into the Men’s room and was flabbergasted. The floor was cleaner than most plates. I have spent a few dollars at their stores.
