Each and everyone here needs to call their congresscritters and express the fact that the borders MUST be sealed to keep illegals out. They might even explain that ANYONE crossing the border without proper papers is an illegal alien - weather a Mexican wanting the largesse here, or a mulsim set on bring down this country.

We HAVE rules for gaining entry legally. We are NOT enforcing them. We haven't since Pres Eisenhower gathered up nearly all of them and sent them by ship back to deep Mexico.

Anytime the rules aren't followed the result in chaos.

McShame needs to get on with a life...one outside the beltway. AND preferrably, not in AZ either.

President had a good plan - catch ‘em, load ‘em on a ship, when it was full take ‘em to Mexico City area; come back and do it again.

We need to do that AND stay on our Congresscritters to stay with the constitution, and make lots of noise about the lack of them doing what WE, THE PEOPLE want them to do!

Each of us needs to call, wire, or write both the congresscritters and the senatesitters with our demands; then we need to start rotating them OUT - I think two terms are more than enough to get them thinking they DESERVE to stay until they can retire!
Many of these creatures apparently don't realize the reason for the 2nd Amendment is to (1) protect against a tyrannical government AND (2) protection from hostile forces i.e. robbers etc.

Every American needs to be on the telephone to the Congress-critters complaining to them - of BOTH parties! Tie up the WH phones!!

AND, remember this come election day (if we have one) to replace everyone who had served more than 2 terms...These were not meant to be career positions! Originally, congress was is session for a very short time, pay was LOW to encourage them to get the business of government done and return to their real lives in order to provide for their families.

We are the lazy ones - instead of being active, we've been going along to get along and look what we've got now!!

I think the congresscritters salaries and benefits could easily be cut. AND we, the people need to grow up and unelect many of them. They don't have the sense to limit their terms - look at how old they are when they get carried out, how “entitled” they are. WE need to limit their terms for them. Our founding fathers limited the time they could afford to spend serving the countries needs because their salaries were so low they had to get the countries business done to return home to earn a living!

If they were truly out to eliminate “assualt weapons” they should look at the stastics on motor vehicle assualts. They count for 32,000+ a year.

I think that instead of locking up guns we should be locking up the mentally disturbed.

Arizona has, or had a bit back when we lived there, open carry. And there are ranges in several areas around the towns and cities. I know of 3 around Phoenix area.

I carried when we lived there and I was feeding our livestock...lots of snakes to practice on!

My carrying was a deterrant on occasion. It backed up my instructions to keep on the outside of my gate when a tattoed gang type thought he was coming in to use my phone and get a drink. He didn’t. 8)

The border in AZ is very large, rough, easily hid in and usually wadeable. If you’ve never seen it, that would be a trip worth your time (take plenty of water!). The Texas one is much the same with several crossings for the small communities to cross back and forth; very small areas of swimming - some in the Big Bend Park in the canyons. It’s hard to spot someone on foot - especially if dressed in the same colorings..

For several years I worked at a school that had many illegals. It didn’t take long to hear them speaking of their babies...they had them as quickly as possible. Reason? Not that they wanted to be a citizen but because the government would give them a check!

We truly need to close our borders = for the terrorists who walk across as well as the tax burdens who do!

We do have a LEGAL way to enter our country. It’s a shame so many come in ahead of the legally waiting ones who want to be citizens.

We need a “kitchen cabinet” made up of real people (NOT politicians) to help our elected since it seems they never had to pay bills, nor save up for something they wanted to buy but couldn’t afford yet, and I think they never had to make a budget. Instead of asking someone (their wives, maybe) they don’t seem to figure a way out of this mess they have helped get us into!

Maybe they’re distracted by trying to keep us out of the islamaic brotherhood!

RIGHT! The only time I used bullseye targets was when our son was working on competitive target shooting and Junior Olympic Shooting.

We lived in Iran in the ‘70s, voted at the embassy; now, in good ol’Texas, we’re not physiclly able, but vote by absentee. Never had a problem; but then, we never tried to cheat either!

In the 70’s several ranchers wives brought the wives of their Mexican hired help to our shop. We visited while they shopped - except when she had to go read the cards to them - and according to her, they had to go to the border to pick up their workers, with proper documentation, and after the period they were hired for, return the families to the border for return to Mexico. They were also responsible for the workers and their families, while they were in the United States.

Worked pretty darned good!

I sure don't like the Dept of DUMBING DOWN AND CORRUPTION we have now.... Mother-in-Law started teaching at 17, kept it up for 45 years...pretty good teacher. Lunchroom our son went to (in a country school so he could have his grandmother as teacher) the cooks cooked meals like they did at home - hot bisquits and gravy, fried chicken, etc.

If anyone had a problem, they went to school, principal was always available...problems worked out, none of the sensitivity training going on now was even thought of! plus, we all tried to live UP to the standards, not down so no one would get their feelings hurt.

By the way, I blame a lot of our school problems on the lack of PTAs - and that came from the people - not government.

Many folks live in Mexico and other areas and are collecting their social security.

The main thing I worry about is the “army of youth as well armed and trained as the army” he spoke of when the was given the oath of office before. He apparently has the ammo but maybe not the rest yet...? Since we have the National Guard, what does he need with that? Now that he’s back in office for 4 more, what’s he going to do?

My husband and I traveled up and down the state after his retirement; we found northern California an entirely different atmosphere from the San Diego area our son and his wife lived in. Even enjoyed the people there!!

I grudgingly accept our taxes paying for the pResident riding in Air Force One free (it belongs to we, the people, not him; but I highly object to it being used to shuttle others receiving the service.

If WE, THE PEOPLE, had enough backbone to throw out the congresscritters when they showed they were not there for us, the electoral college for critters, but for themselves, i.e. furthering their own benefits, ignoring our thoughts, furthering their power and prestige, etc. AND kept them informed of our thoughts on given positions, I think we would have a tad more control.

We have never been ruled by edict before, and I for one don't like it. We have live in countries where we were on our best behavior and the local customs were not ours. When living there became intolerable, we left and came home. We have no place to go...therefore, with God's help we have to fix this mess AND be vigilant it doesn't happen again.

I've been calling our representatives in D.C. expressing how stupid it is to borrow from China to give to Islamic countries, when we should sell PBS, Cspan I and II, etc. When we had few tv and radio stations, it might have made sense; there are plenty of each now - We, the people, should not have to pay for them! Their salaries should be paid for by the stations, not us.

A bunch of housewives could do a better job than the professional congresscritters are!
