During a soccer game early last year, Tiffany Lin began experiencing a sharp pain in her right knee. Then a freshman at Manhattan’s Beacon School, Lin tried to play through the pain but sought out a doctor when it wouldn’t subside. The diagnosis? She had Osgood-Schlatter disease, which is the inflammation of the area just below the knee. It mostly occurs during growth spurts and is exacerbated by continuous pounding of the knees that happens during sports such as soccer and running.

Last Saturday I went to "The Nation's Gun Show" in Chantilly, VA. I tried to buy two guns from two different vendors. I waited for over almost three hours for the "instant background check" to be completed, but finally left in frustration (I traveled almost an hour to get there). This is my first vanity and I hope I've done it correctly. There are several noteworthy critical events/turning points in this nation's history. Some of the more prominent ones are well known such as the War for Independance, the Civil War, the great depression, WWII, etc. This election could well be one on those critical historical events. Guilford College officials have scheduled a community forum on campus today to discuss an assault that authorities say was ethnically motivated. Three Guilford College students are free on bond after authorities accused them of beating three Palestinian students. Two of the students were seriously injured. The News and Record of Greensboro, citing court documents, reports that the assailants used their fists, feet and brass knuckles.
