Thanks for the post. Watching the media adoration over Obama and their deliberate distortions of truth has been a true eye-opener. The mainstream media as a truth squad is officially dead and cannot be resusitated. The ruthless attempt of the left to take over the education of our children and media has gained enormous ground.

THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION OF OUR LIFETIME. PRAY, PRAY, PRAY TO OUR LORD AND SAVIOR THAT HE WILL DELIVER US FROM THIS MOST CERTAIN EVIL.

Good grief, seriously.... a hooker could be Obama’s mother from any big city. Obama cannot come up with the country in which his birth certificate resides(?) He's hiding his medical records for a very vulnerable reason, while insisting that McCain divulge his. It wouldn't matter because the media and hard left socialists have made their choice and will not hold Obama accountable for ANYTHING.

WATCH OUT AMERICA - YOU WILL BE WAKING UP IN A NIGHTMARE IF OBAMA WINS AND PUNISHES PRODUCTIVITY BY FORCING HIGHER TAXES ON WEALTHIER INDIVIDUALS. OBAMA has already stated that he will take from the "rich" ($250,000+) and give it to the poor - by the way, the poor doesn't EVEN PAY ANY INCOME TAX!!!

THIS IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE, BUT THEN AGAIN I'VE FELT AS THOUGH I WERE ON THE MOON WITH ALL OF THESE HORRIBLE POSSIBILITIES TAKING PLACE IF OBAMA WINS.

ALL I CAN SAY IS DO YOUR PART, ENCOURAGE YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO GO VOTE AND PRAY, PRAY, PRAY! WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO BRASS TACKS, WE MUST PUT OUR FAITH IN THE GOOD LORD ABOVE. HE WILL SEE US THROUGH THIS. KEEP THE FAITH AND TURN YOUR TROUBLES OVER TO HIM BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT HE WANTS TO HEAR - THAT WE TRUST HIM TO TAKE CARE OF US.

This is why you don’t let traitors in your midst. They are capable of doing far more harm than good.

Which is why you can add me to the 'pile on Bush' voter. While I really do think GWB is a decent man, he has managed to alienate everyone around him. Geeze hearing what Newt says has become equally as painful as listening to McCain. Never have I wanted to break my t.v. so much as watching Chris Wallace interview McCain today. Wallace gave McCain every opportunity to lay it all out, but McCain kept wiffing'

Seriously, McCain should write a book on how to obfuscate legitimate questions while running for President. I honestly believe he would outdo Obama.

I'll be voting early, but McCain's pitifully flat campaign has ALLOWED THE BIASED MEDIA TO RUN ROUGHSHOD OVER HIM. If he would have gone on OFFENSE weeks ago and pounded home the media bias, they would have had to recoil. At the very least, he would have brought the subject to the forefront.

I'm left just saying prayers for our country because this man is so damned ineffective and now Newt is going south on us too.

Sorry to just now write back, but because Obama (HELLO PUBLIC!!!!!) isn’t being asked these hard questions, NO ONE REALLY KNOWS THE DETAILS OF HIS TAX POLICY TO ACCURATELY WEIGH THE ECONOMIC DIFFERENCES OF THE TWO CANDIDATES.

OBAMA IS CHEATING BIG TIME. EVEN IF YOU DON’T WANT TO HOLD HIM ACCOUNTABLE FOR HIS ASSOCIATIONS WITH REVEREND WRIGHT, WILLIAM AYERS OR TONY REZCO, COUPLED WITH OBAMA SAYING THAT HE DOESN’T WANT ANY PRECONDITIONS OF SITTING DOWN WITH ANY TERRORIST ORGANIZATION, HE WILL HAVE TO DO SO. Plainly and simply, Obama must be made to tell the details of his “economic” plan. Everyone wants to know about his magical $250k number. When it comes to small businesses, and they bring in over $250k but have payroll and inventory, I want to know exactly how his tax plan works. Net vs. Gross with details about capital gains, etc.

It is absolutely incredible that the drive-by commie media will not ask Obama these questions. McCain will need to bring this up tomorrow night or he may as well throw in the towel.

We just thought the Clinton's jack-booted mafia types were bad. We ain't seen nuthin' yet if Obama gets elected. The corruption and all out effort by the media and socialists to elect this foreign born Christian pretender is something to fear. PRAY, PRAY, PRAY:

Take this to heart: Perhaps you don't sense it, but I am hearing a certain thing in my spirit that keeps recurring. Here is a description of it, the best I know how to tell you:

"There is something stirring in our land, and you will not read of it nor hear of it because it hidden from view. But a strong voice will be heard on the day we elect our next president. It is the voice of God's people that have not lost their faith in Him, nor their love of this country of America."

God does not ignore righteous souls that are vexed with the lawlessness and erosion of Godliness. Souls that have been willing to protest and pray against the wrongs in our government, our schools, our cities, and even in our churches. Souls that will not abandon our Judeo-Christian heritage. Souls that cling to the Old Rugged Cross, but are even willing to die for the rights of others to disagree with them. Souls that remember and honor God as their Helper, in whom they trust. Souls that with their last, dying breath would uphold that "righteousness that exalts a nation".

I recall something that was said by the three Hebrew children, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, when Nebuchadnezzar ordered them into the fiery furnace because they refused to bow down to the golden image he had made: "If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy god, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up." (Daniel 3)

I thank my Lord for this recurring hope that keeps coming to me and pray for it to be so. But even if not, we have the assurance of that fourth man in the furnace, that He will surely deliver His people.

For some inexplicable reason, John McCain seems unable to claim the credit he deserves for being one of the few politicians in Washington who saw the present crisis coming and tried to do something about it. He is even more unable to vigorously and unambiguously put the blame where it belongs: on the Democratic Party

This is exactly why McCain will likely lose the election. Never in my life have I been so frustrated with a candidate. Without a doubt McCain is absolutely the worst communicator and weakest man the GOP could have chosen. He has no emotion or fight - he's all sweetness and light. I threw up my dinner when one of the next steps McCain advocated was for the government (read YOU and ME) to ‘rescue’ all of the homes of Seniors that are having trouble paying their mortgages.

Geeze, now that the nanny state is going to take care of our every need, I’m so happy that I can evidently start sending McCain a bill for my Charmin to wipe my butt with. Speaking of.... he may as well have flushed his chances down the toilet. Not that I want to toot Bill O’Reilly’s horn because the man can be SOOO obnoxious, but he recently blasted Brokaw and Brian Williams for ‘being in the dishonest news tank’ that NBC has become. In fact O’Reilly said that he had absolutely no respect for either and that he couldn’t believe they could stand by and go along with NBC’s radical leftist dishonesty that poses as a news organization. He claimed that Brokaw and Williams were corrupt as journalists and had sold out their journalistic ethics by continuing to work for NBC.

That must have been too much for Brokaw to take and now that he wants to appear to be neutral, MoveOn & MediaMatters are wanting him to pay. It doesn’t get any better than this. I’m going to enjoy watching Brokaw getting eaten alive - and maybe if he surrenders publicly and sheds light on what the left is doing, I’ll forgive him.

I just read another thread about this issue and suddenly feel a little better. The theory as to why McCain refuses to take this red meat issue and not bury the dems with it is a timing issue.

Once the House votes on the ‘rescue’/Bailout, he will use it then, but doesn't want to blow things up with the dems and get blamed for its failure to pass and illtimed partisianship until then. I swear, I hope that's it and it does make sense. It will be the sweetest of October surprises when he buries the dems with this issue and puts a final nail in their coffins.

He is waiting for the house vote. He does't want to get blamed if it doesn't pass.

I hope you are right - that does make sense because The only part of last night's debate that I was VERY disappointed with Palin about was that she, like McCain, kept referring to Wall Street as the villian in the Fannie Mae debacle.

Until your point about getting the House bill passed,I've been very suspicious as to just why in the hell McCain will not blame the democrats that refused time and time again to allow regulatory oversight of Fannie/Freddie. It flat out hasn't made sense for him to continue letting them get away with it. Americans are PISSED and this is a red meat & winning issue for him, but he hasn't gone for the easy touchdown.... Why? If it isn't because of the 'rescue' vote, what can it be?

I was so hoping to se Saracuda go after the dems and I was devestatingly disappointed that she didn't. She had the world stage and an unfiltered opportunity that was missed. So just calm down - as I said, the book thing is a non-issue compared to the crap she pulled in 2004 against Cheney.

Wow - So let me get this straight - and trust me, I'm old enough to remember the Cheney/Edwards debate in 2004. But I am astounded that you think the book is a non issue compared to what happened four years ago: During a vice-presidential candidate debate Ifill moderated in 2004 – when Democrat John Edwards attacked Republican Dick Cheney’s former employer, Halliburton – the vice president said, “I can respond, Gwen, but it’s going to take more than 30 seconds.” And Ifill said, "Well, that’s all you’ve got," she told Cheney.

Was Ifill bitchy and rude to Cheney? You bet she was. I agree with you that McCain should have never agreed to her as a moderator in the first place. Sometimes it's hard to believe that McCain was actually in the military since he's constantly taking a feather to a gun fight. But make no mistake, Ifill's "non-actions" are clearly a conflict of interest.

Should the news of Ifills book have been noticed by anyone in the Republican party sooner? You bet, but it wasn't. Again, I attribute it to news overload - and the fact that conservatives tend to ignore AP articles because of their blatant bias. But that doesn't excuse Ifill for keeping mum - at least for the likelihood of a perceived conflict of interest. At the very least, she should have made sure the Debate Commission AND the McCain campaign knew about her book. If she had nothing to hide, why was she NOT candid and up front?

You and I will just have to agree to disagree when it comes to which incident is worse. To me, Ifill's bitchy and flippant remark to Cheney had zero implications on the election of 2004. Ifill has two very good incentives to submarine Palin - She is an Obama supporter and will enjoy counting her money from book sales if he wins. But more importantly, she is in a position to make a huge difference in this election and after she has shown everyone who she really is, why in the hell should ANY of us trust her?

You made no mention of the analogy in the link I provided in my last post to you. I'm sick of hypocrits and double standards and want this wrong-doing exposed to the masses.

Do you want McCain to look incredibly ignorant? Ifill was announced at the beginning of August (almost two months ago), and the debate schedules were published over a month ago.

McCain's people have known all along she was a liberal, and anybody who spent 30 seconds on Google back in August knew she was not only a liberal but had a book coming out (the AP was even running a story or two mentioning it back in July).

Fine - you and I have a fundamental difference if you don't think it was the responsibility of Ifill to disclose that she has a book about Obama coming out on inauguration day, especially since she has been openly supportive of Obama and has made snide remarks about Sarah Palin.

The FACT that Ifill kept this information from PBS is very telling. Sorry, but you sound like a dem blaming McCain and his staff for not discovering her cover-up. There is so much information overload these days, I can understand the oversite - especially since the title and details of Ifill's book have just been discovered. If you or any other news & internet hound Googled it, why wasn't it posted on FR before now - hummmmm? This news has spread like wild fire since it was just discovered.

If there was going to be outrage and posturing, it should have happened back in August - to have it happen the day before the debate would just look so idiotic..

NO IT WOULDN'T. AT LEAST THE MEDIA WOULD HAVE TO ACTUALLY COVER IT. Rescheduling the debate to change moderaters or pulling Ifill and replacing her would at least inform the public of what she tried to get away with. My bet is that the average Joe Six Pack voter would agree that this doesn't just give the appearance of unfairness, but it is absolutely dirty politicking corruption at it's best.

Read this and see if you don't agree.

I wish McCain would have shown that so-called famous temper of his and demanded that Gwen Ifill be replaced. Instead, he said that he thinks Ifill will be fair. GAG ME - McCain is surrounded by enemies that will stop at nothing to win and he just doesn't get it or is completely naive.

I'd bet my life savings that Joe Biden has had Gwen's debate questions for days now and will give a stellar performance.

This woman has a GLOWING BOOK PRAISING OBAMA coming out in Januray 09 right after the INAUGARATION

No, it's worse. They've timed it to come out ON INAUGARATION DAY, JANUARY 20th!

    Here on Amazon

Ifill, alone, supposedly decides the questions secretly. Whatcha wanna bet that Biden hasn't been practicing his answers for weeks now?

This is clearly a conflict of interest as Miss Moderater stands to profit substantially if Obama is elected President. It’s just another example of the left playing dirty. Full discloser was never made and that in itself is a big problem. Finding this out in the 11th hour before the debate is appalling. Ifill needs to be replaced immediately if for no other reason than to at least give the appearance of fairness.

A so-called unbiased journalist would never put themselves in such a position of giving the appearance of possibly aiding and abeting one candidate over another when the end game will result in her getting millions of dollars if Obama gets elected (when her book comes out on inaugaration day).

Ifill has complete control over the topics and questions and don’t think there aren’t plenty of people that believe that Biden already has the questions - just because of the unfair appearance and this last minute revalation. Replace her now!

Yep, it's a done deal unless us little people throw such a fit that Ifill gets replaced. If we just sit by and let this happen, we get what we deserve.
