FRiends, it's time to end this quarter's FReepathon so that we might have more time to talk with one another, discuss the issues, vet the candidates and also do the silly stuff that makes us laugh. If you aren't currently a monthly donor, please consider becoming one. Perhaps dedicate your donation to a loved one, whether still with us or already gone, human or pet. Or dedicate it to the folks who served or have served in our armed forces. Why you donate is up to you. That you donate benefits us all. Thanks for listening.

In its coverage of Baltimore, the Fair and Balanced network had its world turned upside down. When there’s a riot going on, what channel do you turn to? Watch MSNBC if you want information packaged in the language and symbols that echo the story you already know to be true. Watch CNN for the bland dilution of information into items of mild interest, always footnoted to the official story. But, if this past week, you wanted to see the clash between the official story of white America and the actual lived experience of black Americans, watch Fox News. In prime time,...

As America observes the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, we find that this great American’s legacy is as much a source of division as of unity. Lincoln is the first and greatest of America’s Republican presidents. Nevertheless, some voices on the contemporary Left claim that the Republican Party no longer deserves to call itself the party of Lincoln. Lincoln, after all, believed in an expansive exercise of the national power (at least by the standards of his day), while the modern Republican Party says it is more concerned with limiting the reach of the...

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: Lincoln, Nebraska. This is Chris. Great to have you, sir. You're up first. Welcome to the EIB Network, hello. CALLER: Hello. How are you? RUSH: Very well, sir. Thank you for calling. CALLER: Long-term listener, first-time caller. Anyway, what I was questioning, or to ask a question to you is, do you think the anti-gun left will come full circle to pro-gun after these Ferguson and Baltimore incidents? I'm not saying those are justifications for -- you know, but the Second Amendment's there to protect against -- RUSH: Why would the left -- CALLER: And our own...

Pretty funny. Not to say that police brutality is ok, but there is certainly a lot citizens can do to avoid it.

Exclusive: Ted Nugent counters 'our embarrassing president's' social-justice rhetoric Social justice? Level playing field? Equal opportunity? Income inequality? Everyone should play by the same rules? Cue the cheeky cherubs breaking through the pillowy clouds blowing sweet trumpet music in the heavenly skies. Our embarrassing president and all the cult-of-denial goons that chant the above nonsense have clearly lost all sense of reason, logic, common sense and honesty, not to mention a basic grasp of human history. Here’s how it works, Mr. President and all you fundamental-transformation, social-engineering America haters. There is no social justice, and there will never be any...

At the White House correspondents' star-studded extravaganza this past weekend, Hollywood comedian Cecily Strong piously browbeat reporters for focusing on Hillary Clinton's looks, pushing the premise that they were a bunch of sexists. It was off-key, for plenty of reasons. Chris Cillizza of the Washington Post has an interesting rebuttal about why a candidate's looks sometimes matter. He left out one thing, however, something perhaps a female writer such this one might notice: Quite often, Hillary looks noticeably disheveled while on official business, and during her tenure as secretary of state looked downright dirty and unkempt.

Just a plain and simple vanity. I have finally completed my first science fiction series. The third book of my Bright Horizons series is out and I am both incredibly relieved and a little wistful at the same time. It's been almost three years since I lost my job and decided to put out my first book to try to make ends meet. I have struggled with health issues, had to put the writing on hold to take a seasonal job as I refilled the cash tank, and had the other typical issues of life come up, but I just...

Deciding which American state to live in isn’t easy. It’s like entering an all-you-can-eat casino buffet with the limitation of only being able to choose one food item. Before deciding where to live and buy a home it’s important to be informed, which is why Estately has compiled this map and list of what each state has more of per capita than any other. Some are good, some are bad, but all are unique to that specific state.

Just think of it. Walker or Cruz wins in 2016. Does Rubio run for Fla. Governor in 2018 in preparation for a WH run 10 years away? He would be unemployed just as the Castro brothers are ready to pass from the scene. A Rubio hovering above the scene would encourage a crash and burn changeover down there and we should hope for a violent turnover a la Mussolini, Ceauchescou, and Allende. Castro is not entitled to the dignity of a natural death. In 10 years the island nation would be ('post')modern.

The Dingman Delaware Middle School Problem 5 Odyssey of the Mind Team has won 1st place in the Pennsylvania State Competition. The team could use a few bucks to help them with miscellaneous expenses such as Pins and T-Shirts while they travel to World Finals in Michigan this May. A few bucks here and there will make a big difference for these kids. Thanks, Go Fund MeOdyssey of the Mind

With Hillary Clinton's campaign already faltering, Democrats have an obvious candidate to turn to.Hillary Clinton’s presidential candidacy is beginning to look like an aging bomber hit one time too many by flak. Her campaign is making that ungraceful roll that precedes the fatal, disintegrating tumble. For decades, the Clintons have been the Houdinis of American politics, able to wiggle out of heavy chains to escape one death trap after another, always emerging with taunting smiles. But this time feels different. Yesterday, The New York Times ran a long investigative piece detailing how millions in cash went to the Clinton Foundation...

How can I bet money on this upcoming nomination, Elizabeth Warren is 16/1 that she will be the Dem nominee. (Hitlery 1/6), any way I can get real money on this?

Here’s the thing—the Tea Party, and the GOP horrify me. I might not know all the details about their campaigns, and I might not know what exactly HRC is planning, but one thing is for sure: Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, and Jeb Bush are absolutely bad news. Many feminists including myself are “excited” about the idea of a woman holding office in the White House. But it is a very dull excitement, muffled by the fact that this racist police state will have nothing to offer us, regardless of who is sitting in The Oval Office. Just as Obama’s election...

Where's Waldo? The New York Times plays this game on a large scale with a disingenuous article talking about the "disappearance" of 1.5 million black men. In New York, almost 120,000 black men between the ages of 25 and 54 are missing from everyday life. In Chicago, 45,000 are, and more than 30,000 are missing in Philadelphia. Across the South — from North Charleston, S.C., through Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi and up into Ferguson, Mo. — hundreds of thousands more are missing. They are missing, largely because of early deaths or because they are behind bars. Remarkably, black women who are...

"Why is humor at the expense of Hillary Clinton something of a national pastime now?" laments the subheader to a teaser headline on MSNBC.com's front page today, "Why comics have a field day with Hillary." In the story itself, MSNBC's Adam Howard complaints that Hillary is the victim of "sexism" and cartoonish caricatures of her character, rather than on "facts" (emphasis mine):The former first lady and current 2016 presidential candidate is depicted here and in virtually every other American comedy routine as a scheming careerist who sees her husband’s rise to power as little more than a springboard for her...

Fox News president Roger Ailes thinks Ted Cruz could become the Republican nominee. But he doesn't appear to think much of him. In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Ailes was asked whether he thought Cruz could win the the GOP nomination. His answer: Sure, it could happen. Because just about anybody could win, right? "Listen, we elected Warren G. Harding. Anybody has a chance," Ailes said. "You don't know who you're going to be running against. If the other guy falls on his rear end, you could win." Harding -- ouch. For those of us who haven't taken an...

The Protestant Inquisition: "Reformation" Intolerance and Persecution Disclaimer and statement of intent: Unfortunately, the religious "scandal score" needs to be evened up now and then, and the lesser-known "skeletons in the closet" need to be rescued from obscurity, surveyed, and exposed. I take no pleasure in "dredging up" these unsavory occurrences, but it is necessary for honest, fair historical appraisal. This does not mean that I have forsaken ecumenism, or that I wish to bash Protestants, or that I deny corresponding Catholic shortcomings. Historical facts are what they are, and most Protestants (and Catholics) are unaware of the following historical...

Your Excellency, We’ve been monitoring the recent controversy surrounding your decision to insert morality clauses into teacher contracts in schools in your Archdiocese. Given the hostility to the teachings of the Church and growing attempts to coerce our institutions, your decision is perfectly reasonable. As you know, such clauses are nothing new and represent a commitment to fulfill a basic promise to those families who entrust their children to the care of the Church. We want you to know that we are praying for you and support you 100%. As the Archbishop of San Francisco, you are responsible for insuring...

Washington Post political reporter Chris Cillizza recently lectured Rand Paul not to play media critic. Now he’s decided conservative media critics as a whole have no argument in an article provocatively headlined “No, the media isn’t biased in favor of Hillary Clinton.” There is no evidence for that charge, he wrote, even as he acknowledged the embarrassing video of journalists chasing after the Scooby van.
