We now know when and where Minneapolis Police officers will soon be testing body cameras on the streets. The Minneapolis Police Department has confirmed that dozens of officers will test the body cameras in three precincts in late September or early October. The tests will be done in precincts that generally have higher police activity. MPD says the body cams will be used for testing purposes only in the First Precinct downtown, the Fourth Precinct in North Minneapolis and the Fifth Precinct in southwest Minneapolis. The city council set aside $400,000 to buy the cameras for the 2014 budget. Mayor...

BIG BREAK IN IRS CASE WILL CHANGE SCANDAL’S COURSE New evidence about the actions of the IRS official at the center of the investigation into the agency’s systematic targeting of President Obama’s political adversaries is intensifying the firestorm over the alleged corruption. IRS executive Lois Lerner apparently pushed for an audit of one of the administration’s most outspoken critics in the Senate. In emails with a colleague, Lerner claims to have mistakenly received an invitation to Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, to give a speech to a non-profit group in 2012. Lerner wrote that the group offered to pay for Grassley’s...

On Tuesday’s “Your World with Neil Cavuto” on the Fox News Channel, Pinal County, AZ Sheriff Paul Babeu reported that the federal government has released criminal illegal aliens into his community and that his officers have arrested individuals who have already been deported 10 or 15 times. He said “[the federal government] has released dangerous violent criminals right in my county and they refuse to give me the names of these criminals, and that there are “cartel scouts...ushering the drugs through all the way up to Phoenix” within the county. Babeu added, “We have a guy just yesterday we arrested...

Chicago's police superintendent lashed out at what he called lax state and federal gun laws after a violent Fourth of July weekend that saw more than 60 people shot and nine killed in a city already known for frequent shootings. "There has to come a tipping point where this changes," Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said Monday of the violence. "The illogical nature of what's happening here -- that government can intercede and prevent this from happening is overwhelming. And I refuse to think otherwise in a great country like America that we can continue to allow this to happen...

People who enter the U.S. and nearby countries illegally from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras should not be forced to return home and should be treated as refugees, a U.N. agency says. The U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees says people from those countries are subject to persecution. From Geneva, Lisa Schlein reports for our Newscast unit: "The United States isn't the only country being flooded by migrants from Central America. U.N. refugee spokesman Adrian Edwards says the number of people fleeing to Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica and other countries in search of asylum has increased by more than 700 percent...

The hordes of illegal immigrant minors entering the U.S. are bringing serious diseases—including swine flu, dengue fever, Ebola virus and tuberculosis—that present a danger to the American public as well as the Border Patrol agents forced to care for the kids, according to a U.S. Congressman who is also medical doctor. This has created a “severe and dangerous” crisis, says the Georgia lawmaker, Phil Gingrey. Most of the Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) are coming from Central America and they’re importing infectious diseases considered to be largely eradicated in this country. Additionally, many of the migrants lack basic vaccinations such as...

Did fake accusations that Sen. Robert Menendez had visited underage prostitutes come from Cuba's intelligence agency? That's the question the senator wants the Justice Department to look into. In April, an attorney for Menendez, a Democrat who's been a harsh critic of the regime that runs the country his family fled in the 1950s, sent a letter asking for an inquiry into the origins of the smear campaign, according to . Allegations that Menendez had patronized prostitutes cropped up in the fall of 2012, shortly before the November vote. When his office denied the charges, it said the story was...

The Department of Veteran Affairs is coming under mounting pressure from Democrats and Republicans to take back bonuses for senior staff who were in charge at VA medical centers when appointment times were falsified to cover up treatment delays for patients, The Washington Post reported. House Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman Jeff Miller said the VA secretary has the authority "to rescind these bonuses" within a year after they were paid. "I am calling on him to take this action where he deems appropriate," said Miller, a Florida Republican. First Costco removed Dinesh D’Souza’s book “America” from all of their stores, and now Google is piling on. Liberal hacks are doing whatever they can to make sure people don’t see this movie and hear it’s message. Liberals are all about trying to squash free speech. Makes me sick. From the Hollywood Reporter: Lawyers representing Dinesh D’Souza’s newest film, America, have fired off a letter to Google demanding that the search engine correct problems that they say are hampering the ability of consumers to figure out where the movie is playing. The letter claims that Google has been confusing America...

(Reuters) - The White House asked the U.S. Congress for $3.7 billion in emergency spending on Tuesday to address a cross-border surge of children from Central America that is taxing public resources and causing a political headache for President Barack Obama. It was Obama's most substantive response to date as he struggles to gain control of a humanitarian crisis along the Texas border with Mexico. The money would both pay to care for the children and accelerate a return to their home countries. The funding move will test Obama's ability to negotiate effectively with Republican lawmakers who have blocked much...

I was reading about President Obama’s request for 3.7Billion to address some of the problems at the border and noted this: “….As part of the emergency spending request, about $625 million would go to fight wildfires in Western states. CLICK HERE Why put wildfires in this? What does this have to do with immigration? So that no Republican Senator or Member of the House can complain about the 3.7Billion. If he or she does, you can be sure the political ad come November will be “….voted AGAINST funds to help fight wildfires here at home…” These should be two separate...

Russian authorities have reacted with anger over the "kidnapping" of the son of a Russian MP, apparently detained by US agents in the Maldives, on suspicion of hacking computer systems in order to steal the credit card details of thousands of Americans. The US department of homeland security announced on Monday that the secret service had arrested Roman Seleznev on suspicion of hacking activities carried out between 2009 and 2011. He is the son of Valery Seleznev, an MP from the ultra-nationalist Liberal Democratic arty, whose leader has frequently made anti-American outbursts. Russia's foreign ministry said that Seleznev was seized...

US Southern Command Chief: 'Crime-Terror Convergence' on Southern Border Is 'Existential' Threat to Nation Sunday, 06 Jul 2014 01:13 PM By Sandy Fitzgerald The United States' neglect of its southern border has created a threat that challenges the country's national security, says the general in charge of overseeing the region, and he is concerned that terrorists and others can exploit the vulnerabilities that have been created. "In comparison to other global threats, the near collapse of societies in the hemisphere with the associated drug and [undocumented immigrant] flow are frequently viewed to be of low importance," Marine Corps Gen. The head of the European Jewish Congress appealed Tuesday for European governments to take tougher action against anti-Semitism—and has made France his starting point. French citizens are suspected in the two deadliest attacks against European Jewish institutions in the past few years—a shooting at the Brussels Jewish Museum in May, and an attack on a Jewish school in Toulouse, southwestern France, in 2012. And French Jews are emigrating to Israel in record numbers, in part because of a fear of rising anti-Semitism from the far right and extremist Islam. …

It’s bad enough that the Obama administration has shattered records by spending a mind-boggling $80.4 billion to give a record number of people free groceries, now it’s dedicating millions more to crack down on fraud that includes using social media to illegally sell and buy food stamps online. It’s an outrageous and senseless waste of taxpayer dollars to allow a government handout program to become so bloated that it requires such a huge allocation to counter corruption. Judicial Watch has reported extensively on the fraud surrounding the government’s scandal-plagued food stamp program in the last few years. Under President Obama,...

Former America's Most Wanted host John Walsh is hosting a new show on CNN on which he vows to keep the push for gun control and the war on the NRA alive. According to The Wrap, Walsh said: I'm the father of a murdered child. I've done nothing but track violence in America since my son was murdered. We have a serious problem with guns in this country... and the NRA solution to arm every grammar-school 80-year-old teacher with a gun is absolutely ludicrous. He claims the NRA has gotten so big and financially powerful through relationships with gun manufacturers...

At first, it seemed like just another example of Harry Reid being Harry Reid. The Senate majority leader, whose unscripted attacks can veer into bellicosity and take liberties with facts, spoke on the Senate floor last October and appeared to blame billionaire industrialists Charles and David Koch for the government shutdown. “By shutting down the government,” Reid said, “we’re satisfying the Koch brothers and Ed Meese, but millions of people in America are suffering.” In January, he went further, accusing the Kochs of “actually trying to buy the country.” His staff affectionately refers to such ad libs as Reid “getting...

Back in the days when Vladimir Putin was first launching his crackdown on Russian mainstream media, killing and arresting reporters and publishers and seizing or shutting down publications, the Russia apologists rationalized his actions by claiming that the Russian Internet was free and always would be, and would counter any state propaganda. It’s now clear that these statements were made simply ruse to induce the defenders of free speech to drop their guard and allow Putin to take over mainstream media unchallenged. It worked like a charm. And now we can clearly see how utterly false these statements were as Putin systematically exterminates the Runet.
