Hey fellow Americans. Sooo, you've turned this Country over to the lovely ladies of the left coast, huh? I wonder how they will prosecute the war on terror? Allow me to introduce the new Speaker of the House of Representatives. Nancy Pelosi, Democrat of San Francisco. One of the most liberal members of Congress. Please allow me to introduce the new Majority Leader of the Senate. Harry Reid, Democrat of Nevada. One of the most liberal members of Congress. You didn't know that you were voting for them, but that's what you got. They even voted in the very first...

I honestly don't believe Kerry was joking when he warned students they better stay in school lest they wind up in Iraq, nor do I believe, based on his initial reaction of indignation, that he was sincere in the apology that he was browbeaten into giving. Those questions aside, the more important point is that Kerry's statement has had the effect of placing the Democrats' approach toward defense, the war on terror and the military under a microscope, and nothing could be worse for them – politically. That Kerry doesn't share a high opinion of our military is born out...

The comments made by Sen. John Kerry this week, disparaging the intelligence and abilities of U.S. troops serving in Iraq, were revolting. But they hardly were surprising. The latest remarks by Kerry follow those by his colleague, Democrat Sen. Dick Durbin in June 2005 when he compared American troops to "Nazis, Soviets in their gulags or some mad regime – Pol Pot or others – that had no concern for human beings." There are two motivations for cut-and-run Democrats to make outrageous comments like these. One is that they are so unprincipled in their quest for power that they will...

There's been a lot of speculation this campaign season about who our terrorist enemies might actually want to see win the elections next Tuesday. Thanks to the courageous and enterprising work of WND's Jerusalem bureau chief, Aaron Klein, we don't have to speculate anymore. Some of the senior leaders of terrorist organizations in the Middle East have spoken out – given their endorsements, if you will – on the record. And the winners of their support are … the Democrats. Why isn't this surprising? Because deep in our hearts, we knew it all the time. It makes perfect sense, doesn't...

Jack Layton has never heard of Josh Forbes or his poem, Thoughts of a Soldier. He has never read the verses now tearing across the Internet, transferred from blog to blog, in angry response to the NDP leader's controversial call to pull Canadian troops out of Afghanistan. A call Layton repeated yet again at yesterday's anti-war rally, one of 37 anti-war protests staged across the country. "This seek-and-kill mission isn't easing aggression and extremism -- it's feeding it, it's fuelling it," Layton told about 1,500 demonstrators gathered on University Ave. across from the U.S. Consulate. "Harper claims the mission is...

Bill Frist: "I’m currently overseas visiting our troops in Afghanistan, but I wanted to take a moment to address an Associated Press story titled, “Frist: Taliban Should Be in Afghan Gov’t.” The story badly distorts my remarks and takes them out of context.

Despite the combative statements, despite the promises not to capitulate and even though every hour that passes and every Qassam that is launched raises the bar of violence and causes both sides to hold steadfastly to a commitment to use still harsher means, it is not yet too late to begin talks on ending the crisis and coming up with new agreements. Before making an extreme decision about assassination, or even about arresting ministers of the Hamas government, it is worth trying to speak with the Palestinians. The last few months have been wasted on expressing disappointment over the results...

Murtha says U.S. poses top threat to world peace South Florida Sun-Sentinel Tucson, Arizona | Published: 06.25.2006 MIAMI — American presence in Iraq is more dangerous to world peace than nuclear threats from North Korea or Iran, Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., said to an audience of more than 200 in North Miami Saturday afternoon. Murtha was the guest speaker at a town hall meeting organized by Rep. Kendrick B. Meek, D-Miami, at Florida International University's Biscayne Bay Campus. Meek's mother, former Rep. Carrie Meek, D-Miami, was also on the panel. War veterans, local mayors, university students and faculty were in...

Last week John Kerry revealed his plan to "redeploy" U.S. forces from Iraq. This plan is different from fellow Defeaticrat Jack Murtha's plan to "redeploy" U.S. forces from Iraq to Okinawa, which Congressman Murtha seems to think is in the general neighborhood of Iraq. Iraq's in the Middle East, Okinawa's in the Far East: C'mon, how far can it be to get from the Far to the Middle? After all, the distance between the farthest fringe of the kook left and the center of the Democratic Party seems to be closing up every week. Anyway, Sen. Kerry doesn't want to...

Just a few weeks ago, some Republicans were openly fretting about the war in Iraq and its effect on their re-election prospects, with particularly vulnerable lawmakers worried that its growing unpopularity was becoming a drag on their campaigns. But there was little sign of such nervousness on Wednesday as Republican after Republican took to the Senate floor to offer an unambiguous embrace of the Iraq war and to portray Democrats as advocates of an overly hasty withdrawal that would have grave consequences for the security of the United States. Like their counterparts in the House last week, they accused Democrats...

Rep. Jack Murtha (D-Pa), imagines himself to be the scourge of the hawks in the Bush administration. Many journalists do, too, because they keep inviting him to appear on talk shows. So why were the targets of Mr. Murtha's wrath doubled over with laughter during his appearance last Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press?" Rep. Murtha's newfound fame is a product of his call for immediate withdrawal from Iraq, or in the dishonest way he likes to phrase it, "redeployment" from Iraq. Host Tim Russert asked Mr. Murtha to respond to a question White House political guru Karl Rove had...

It's almost a full time job for our crack editorial team here at Blackfive just to report on each instance of Rep. Murtha making a WTF? statement. Froggy got him from Meet the Press this morning proving he is either astonishingly stupid regarding the capabilities of our military or just willing to say anything. He got Matty O' bangin' on him here, and the king of running away gets a little Uncle J love for all his foolishness. Video Here: Click Here For the YouTube Video

Ex-Marine Colonel and current leader of the Cowardice Caucus in the House of Representatives, John Murtha has now made the transition from gutless Congressional peace activist to outright laughingstock. He began his atmospheric rise to liberal icon status by breathlessly intoning the President to immediately withdraw troops from Iraq so that they can be extracted from an Iraqi "civil war". Not content to merely serve as Defeatist in Chief, Murtha doubled down to be come one of the biggest Blue Falcons in Marine Corps history by prematurely condemning as guilty several of his ex-comrades- Semper Backstabis. Now from the NRO...

JOHN Kerry has joined John Murtha and other Democrats in saying he erred in voting for the liberation of Iraq. "It is essential to acknowledge that the war itself was a mistake. . . . It was wrong, and I was wrong to vote for that Iraqi war resolution," Kerry told a Democratic Party gathering in Washington this week. If the junior senator from Massachusetts truly believes that his judgment was so clouded that he sent thousands of American men and women to their deaths needlessly, then he should do the honorable thing and resign from Congress. Senators and congressmen...
