Minutes before Michigan Governor Snyder signed the 'Right-To-Work' bill into law... ... Teamsters head Jimmy Hoffa appeared on CNN, as seen in the clip below, warning that: "This is just the first round of a battle that's going to divide this state. We're going to have a civil war," ...as the bill to weaken unions' power is passed. If Hoffa is right, look for Michigan GDP to soar: after all it is one of the more Keynesian states in the union. "That there should be this lingering infestation of really corrupt people who sit trying to dismantle the wishes of the people [Republicans, Conservatives, and The Tea Party], the mandate that has been given to Barack Obama, and I don't know what more they want. The only thing left for Barack Obama to do is to work like a 3rd world dictator and just put all these guys in jail." -- Harry Belefonte interviewed by Al Sharpton on MSNBC

For decades, it has been obvious that there are irreconcilable differences between Americans who want to control the lives of others and those who wish to be left alone. Which is the more peaceful solution: Americans using the brute force of government to beat liberty-minded people into submission, or simply parting company? In a marriage, where vows are ignored and broken, divorce is the most peaceful solution. Similarly, our constitutional and human rights have been increasingly violated by a government instituted to protect them. Americans who support constitutional abrogation have no intention of mending their ways. Since Barack Obama’s re-election,...

NEW YORK – Two years ago, as WND reported, the Obama administration was proceeding with a novel way to finance trillion-dollar budget deficits by forcing IRA and 401(k) holders to buy Treasury bonds by mandating the placement of government-structured annuities in their retirement accounts. Remarkably, those financial professionals specializing in private retirement savings and the U.S. citizens investing in private retirement plans now face the possibility the Obama administration and its allies on the political left will impose rules and regulations that effectively abolish the private retirement savings and investment markets. Recent evidence suggests government officials continue to eye the...

Out of curiosity, I took a look at how film critics from other newspapers and publications reviewed the new “Red Dawn,” a remake of the 1984 cult classic about teenagers taking up guns and defending America from communist invaders. You’d think from the critics’ condescending sneers that the remake is utter garbage. “Preposterous,” said one critic of the remake’s premise that North Korea could invade the U.S. today. “Outdated,” said another, suggesting the plot line be relegated to the ancient Cold War and the once-upon-a-time Red Scare. The only thing that’s “preposterous,” however, is the speed at which these obviously...

Americans were stunned last week, coming to the startling reality that citizens from all 50 states, hundreds of thousands of signatories, thus far, have petitioned their state to secede from the union, with at least seven states, as of Sunday, having the 25,000 signatures necessary to, supposedly, officially force a White House response. It's not something many Americans want to think about, or be forced to come to terms with, however. To think the United States of America would ever be in a position of having to deal with multiple states having enough citizens to attempt seceding from the union...

It is clear that Obama hates the U.S. Constitution. Has himself stated that it's a flawed document and it and the courts do not go far enough in saying what the government must do for you on your behalf in regards to social and economic justice and the redistribution wealth. He says the courts have failed to remove the constraints on government from doling out social and economic justice, so it must be done legislatively.

Divorce is an ugly word. For devout Christians and Jews, it’s a particularly unthinkable term. The Bible strictly discourages it, even forbids it, except in the most exceptional circumstances. But for Americans faithful to the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and the heritage of sacrifice and liberty that set apart this country from the rest of the world, it’s time to consider separation and divorce from those who have committed adultery. The election of 2012 provides more stark evidence that we are not really one country, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. We are already two peoples – those...

Contemporary opinions, including those of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, say the idea of a state’s right to secede died with the hundreds of thousands of bloodied victims of the Civil War, and that the sentiment behind the dozens of petitions on a White House website seeking permission for most of the 50 individual governments to leave the union will be fruitless. But historians would note that even Thomas Jefferson, a “pole star among political philosophers because he based his politics on the eternal, self-evidence, fundamental truths that all men are created free and equal and that they are endowed...

Karl Marx was asked once how he could justify advocating a political system of slavery for the individual, which is what socialism is. He replied that, socialism is not slavery; it is a "new kind of freedom." As all perceptive students of history know, the intellectuals of Europe bought into such Alice in Wonderland sophistry and plunged into the twentieth century nightmare of collectivist tyranny. But unfortunately so did American intellectuals about 30 years later when the Progressives of Woodrow Wilson's era established the Creature from Jekyl Island to usher in centralized government banking and the progressive income tax to...

In a diary posted Thursday at the left wing Daily Kos, Michael Alton Gottlieb called for Obama to rule the country as a "benevolent" dictator. "The American Presidency is a de facto dictatorship," he wrote. According to Gottlieb, the president "has unprecedented power of Fiat" and "literally has the power of life and death over every citizen in the nation." So, in Gottlieb's view, the president should use that power for "good." Echoing Michael Moore, Gottlieb says Obama should "lock up the bankers," without giving any reason why. Apparently, the fact that they work in a bank is reason enough...

As a result of Tuesday's election, Americans in 15 states have filed petitions to secede from the United States, Regina Conley reported at Red Alert Politics on Saturday. So far, she says, residents in Louisiana, Texas, Kentucky, Colorado, New Jersey and ten other states, have filed petitions at the White House petition site requesting secession. A petition for New York to secede was file by "C R" of Grand Forks, North Dakota on Saturday. Examiner's Sheila Carroll says those other states include Montana, North Dakota, Indiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Oregon. On November 7, the day after...

So, what to do now? I have several action items for you. These are all re-hash, but I'll put them together and re-post them because maybe, just maybe, you people are actually ready to listen and do something. 1. TAX STRIKE If you are self-employed, stop paying quarterlies and DO NOT FILE next April. Boehner rolled over this morning and announced that the "Republicans" are gung-ho to raise taxes. They can only raise taxes on you if you pay taxes. Don't pay. DO NOT FILE. IF YOU ARE NOT SELF-EMPLOYED and your employer withholds your taxes, all you have to...

Fellow FReepers -- This is designed to serve as a single repository for layoff announcements, stories and other related news pertaining to the future dismantling of our economy due to the re-election of Barack Obama. The goal here is a one-stop source to bolster our argument that Obama's reelection is truly the detriment to our economic well-being.

Now do you understand why I had precious little to say about the "election"? The results of this election were determined in 2008, including the faux-opposition candidate. You people who have spent the last several months breathlessly agonizing over this, analyzing fake polls and deluding yourselves into believing that this was somehow a legitimate operation are just sad. You're like the people in Iraq who supported the opposition candidate to Saddam Hussein for all of those years. Yes, Saddam Hussein held "elections". Regularly. That is what happened here yesterday. We had a Saddam Hussein "election". This can all be summed...

“A house divided against itself cannot stand.” Abe Lincoln used those words in 1858 to describe a country that was careening toward civil war. Now we’re a house divided again and another civil war is coming, with the 2012 election as its Gettysburg. Call it America’s coming civil war between the Makers and the Takers. On one side are those who create wealth, America’s private sector–the very ones targeted by President Obama’s tax hikes announced Monday. On the other are the public employee unions; left-leaning intelligentsia who see the growth of government as index of progress; and the millions of...

The Lull Before the Civil Unrest Storm Politics / Social IssuesNov 07, 2012 - 03:49 AM By: Jack D Douglas Vast social revolutions and wars are often preceded by periods of giving up on reforms, despairing withdrawal from public life by the best and brightest,(Going Galt) and even peacefulness which seems to have become the normal condition in spite of deep conflicts and growing crises beneath the surfaces of public life. Often, earlier periods of intense conflicts and crises have been overcome and resolved, so it comes to look like that is the normal in life. This lulls most people...

Turn Them Over: Feinstein Moves To Ban ALL Assault Rifles, High Capacity Magazines, and Pistol Grips Mac Slavo November 7th, 2012 The agenda no longer needs to be hidden from public view. With President Obama winning another term and democrats taking control of the Senate, the move to fundamentally change America from within has begun – with a vengeance. We’re all aware of the restrictive gun laws in the State of California which require low capacity magazines for handguns, fixed magazines for “assault” rifles, and a whole lot of running around just to be granted the right to carry a...
