The Marine who became immortalized by playing a brutal drill sergeant in Stanley Kubrick’s “Full Metal Jacket” has died. “It is with deep sadness that I regret to inform you all that R. Lee Ermey (“The Gunny”) passed away this morning from complications of pneumonia,” his manager Bill Rogers said in a statement posted to Mr. Ermey’s official Twitter account.

The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office recently ruled that the Mountain View woman whose body was found floating in the water along the Bay Trail in Sunnyvale last December died of drowning. According to an autopsy report medical examiner Dr. Joseph O’Hara signed off on March 28, Chuchu Ma had “multiple minor blunt force injuries and pulmonary edema consistent with drowning.” But while Ma’s cause of death may be known, the manner of her death remains undetermined, perhaps indefinitely. A Milwaukee woman was found dead in her near west side home after being mauled to death by at least one of her pet dogs, according to the Milwaukee County medical examiner's office. Heather Holland, a second-grade teacher at Ikard Elementary School with the Weatherford Independent School District died over the weekend, the Weatherford Democrat reports. Holland got sick about a week ago and took medication, but delayed picking up the prescription due to the $116 copay, according to the newspaper. Hamilton, NJ (FOX5NY) - Authorities in New Jersey are investigating the death of a man who was found in a tanning bed at a gym. It happened Monday in a Crunch Fitness on South Broad Street in Hamilton. Police say that the body of Nicholas Ricigliani, 27, of Hamilton was found in the tanning-bed room by an employee of the gym. Investigators said that there was no indication that foul play was involved but did not elaborate.
