The United States military is suffering a recruitment crisis says Robert A. Green Jr., an active-duty commander in the United States Navy. “If I had a message for the American people, it would be this: The DoD (Department of Defense) cannot now be trusted with your sons and daughters,” Cmdr. Green warned.“The failures of the past 20 years will continue unless there is radical action to right the ship, rebuild trust by defending individual rights, and re-prioritize warfighting readiness,” he continued. “We need to clean house, particularly at the highest uniformed leadership positions.”

How badly have we been infiltrated? Consider the state of the Department of Defense. In late September, we learned that Ariane Tabatabai who had worked with the Iranian government and secretly promoted their agenda before appearing to testify in Congress was working as the Chief of Staff to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low Intensity Conflict. Now, Rep Jack Bergman is demanding answers over Yousra Fazili who worked for the Islamic terror state of Qatar and now works at the Pentagon. In 2022, she became the Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear,...

The Pentagon needs a third shipyard that can build nuclear-powered ships so the U.S. can keep pace with China and Russia’s nuclear modernization, a congressional commission said in a new report published Thursday. A third private shipyard would expand industry’s capacity to build nuclear-powered submarines, therefore bolstering U.S. strategic forces, according to the Congressional Commission on the Strategic Posture of the United States. The commission suggests the Pentagon “increase shipbuilding capacity, by working with industry to establish or renovate a third shipyard dedicated to production of nuclear-powered vessels, with particular emphasis on nuclear-powered submarines,” according to the report.

Unfortunately, under the Biden administration, instead of focusing on winning battles, the military has been preoccupied with pushing leftist talking points and agendas -- such as the LGBT ideology. So naturally, a rallying cry among conservatives in the past two years has been to get the military back on track and in shape to defend the nation against hostile forces. That's why Republican Rep. Chip Roy of Texas proposed an amendment to the House spending bill that would strip federal funding from drag shows and "pride" events at the Department of Defense.

... The DoD may need a decade to build a reliable domestic supply chain, according to Mike Burns, managing partner of tech investment firm Murray Hill Group. The issue is how fast U.S.-based Intel can catch up with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), which makes Altera and Xilinx field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and other chips that the DoD uses in weapons systems like the F-35 fighter jet, missiles and command-and-control gear, he said. “Maybe that’s a three-year effort,” he told EE Times. “I’m just saying that it’s many years.” To be sure, TSMC more than tripled its overall investment...

The Department of Defense has identified the remains of a World War II soldier who went missing in 1944. The remains were confirmed to be 2nd Lt. Fred L. Brewer Jr., a Tuskegee airman of the 100th Fighter Squadron, 332nd Fighter Group, in the European Theater. The DOD offered his history noting, “On Oct. 19, Brewer departed Ramitelli Air Base, Italy, as one of 57 fighters assigned to escort bombers to their targets in Regensburg, Germany.” “While enroute to their targets, the bomber group encountered heavy cloud cover over the Udine area of Italy, which forced several escort fighters to...

The US military faces an unprecedented recruitment crisis, with health, education, political and societal challenges undermining the force’s combat readiness against near-peer adversaries including China. In March 2023, American Military News reported that a 2020 Pentagon study revealed that 77% of young Americans do not qualify for military service without a waiver due to drug abuse mental or physical problems, or being overweight. The most prevalent disqualification rates were being overweight (11%), drug and alcohol abuse (8%) and medical/physical health (7%), with the most significant increases in disqualification estimates observed between 2013 and 2020 were for mental health and overweight...

Change 5 to the Manual of Military Decorations and Awards took effect on Aug. 7, 2023, and hardly anyone noticed. That is until last week, when the Office of the Secretary of Defense returned the draft citation for the end-of-tour award for none other than the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, four-star Army Gen. Mark Milley. Because of Change 5, Milley’s citation must use the pronoun “themself” instead of “him.”

The Department of Defense (DOD) announced on Thursday that it will begin training Ukrainian pilots and ground crews to fly F-16 fighter jets in Arizona. Last week, the Biden administration approved the sending of the American-made jets to Ukraine from Denmark and the Netherlands, Reuters reported, despite fears that it could trigger fury from Moscow. “We welcome Washington’s decision to pave the way for sending #F16 Fighter Jets to Ukraine,” said the Netherlands’ Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wopke Hoekstra. “Many thanks to [Secretary of State Antony Blinken] for the good and swift cooperation. Now, we will further discuss the subject...

The Department of Defense (DOD) has quietly implemented controversial adolescent health policies throughout the military health system (MHS) that kick in when children turn 12 years old. Because the official policies are hard to find and are not posted publicly at base clinics, most parents are shocked to find out that doctors prefer to treat their adolescent children in a completely parent-free setting. Parents are outraged to be treated as if they cannot be trusted to guide their own children. Here is my story detailing a quest for answers on why online medical record access is limited and why I...

After a full media cycle of apoplexy and pearl-clutching, which included Andrew Weissmann appearing on MSNBC to declare “It’s the end of Trump,” CBS is now reporting there is no Defense Department memo about attacking Iran – the foundation of the media claims surrounding the leaked audio tapes from Special Counsel Jack Smith. Worse still, and exactly as CTH previously outlined, despite the claims by CNN about how this audio would be used as the “central element” by the prosecution of Trump, the audio and mysterious memo are not part of the Special Counsel case. ..... Two House Republicans defected from their party, voting to kill two National Defense Authorization Act amendments that would have defunded diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in the military. In an otherwise party-line vote, Reps. Don Bacon (R-NE) and Mike Turner (R-OH) voted against the amendments, causing their failures in 29-30 votes in a committee markup for the NDAA Wednesday night. One amendment, offered by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), would have prohibited NDAA funds from being used for DEI training. Gaetz offered another amendment that blocked funding for drag shows at military facilities, which passed. The other failed amendment, offered by...

Montana Republican Rep. Matt Rosendale introduced legislation Monday evening that prohibits the Department of Defense (DOD) from paying for, hosting or supporting adult cabaret performances. The Daily Caller first obtained a copy of the bill, which defines an “adult cabaret performance” as a performance that features topless dancers, go-go dancers, exotic dances, strippers or male or female impersonators who provide entertainment that appeals to prurient interest. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has said the DOD does not support or fund the shows, but Military.com reported that Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada had planned to host an all ages drag...

The family of George Watts, Jr. “who died unexpectedly,” is suing the DOD, claiming “willful misconduct” because the DOD allegedly misled the public about the safety of the vaccine, according to The Defender, a publication of the Children’s Health Defense (CHD). According to the lawsuit, the Report of Death Investigation from the Bradford County Coroner’s Office “clearly document[ed] Mr. Watts’ vaccine-induced death and the proximate causal connection,” calling the “Primary Cause” of death “COVID-19 vaccine-related myocarditis.” [embedded court document at link] Watts received two doses of Pfizer vaccines, “an unlicensed product produced under the auspices of the DOD,” according to...

Dr. Pierre Kory, a pulmonary and critical care medicine specialist, is blaming the nexus between the pharma industry and the government along with corrupt medical journals for deceiving the public about COVID-19 and vaccines, which resulted in “millions of lives lost.” “I always knew pharma was bad. I didn’t understand that they are literally a criminal syndicate, who have been committing crimes for decades. They pay fines, then move on and continue their standard operating business,” Kory said in an April 28 interview with EpochTV’s “American Thought Leaders” program. “When it came to government, I wasn’t aware of how corporations...

Decades of consolidation have left the Pentagon vulnerable to mishaps—including when the sole maker of a crucial type of gunpowder went offlineMINDEN, La.—Nearly two years ago, an errant spark inside a mill caused an explosion so big it destroyed all the building’s equipment and blew a corrugated fiberglass wall 100 feet. It also shut down the sole domestic source of an explosive the Department of Defense relies on to produce bullets, mortar shells, artillery rounds and Tomahawk missiles. The ramshackle facility makes the original form of gunpowder, known today as black powder, a highly combustible material with hundreds of military...
