A knight in shining armor isn’t always the key to a woman’s heart. Case in point: Jan Rudnicki, a 40-year-old Polish man who hopped onto a horse and plowed into a female’s house in hopes of sweeping her off her feet. According to the Croatian Times, a drunk and shirtless Rudnicki jumped on the equine, who galloped right through Gosia Domoslawska’s front door. As we all know, these sort of advances aren’t well received in instances of unrequited love, so an uninterested Domoslawska called authorities after Rudnicki stormed through her place. The faux savior could spend up to five years...

NEW YORK (Reuters) – President Barack Obama on Wednesday accused Republicans of using their cost-cutting proposals to push a vision of a "shrunken America" as he sought to rally supporters on a re-election fundraising drive in New York. At a trio of events aimed at rekindling the enthusiasm of his 2008 presidential campaign, Obama touted his economic policies and budget plan and urged Republicans to engage in a "serious debate" on tackling the nation's debt and deficits. But even as he tried to reconnect with his party's base, he acknowledged that many Americans remained frustrated by tough economic conditions and...

I often see DUI cases or the like where the driver borrowed someone's car so they could drive despite the fact the have no license and/or are suspended. Why is it the owner of the car is never charged as an accessory to a crime? If the owner did not file a police report of their car being stolen and the driver has keys, the presumption of guilt and burden of proof should be on the owner of the car. (How else would another person be driving the car?)

An attorney for a Burnsville man accused of threatening to blow up an Amtrak train in Montana on Thursday pledged a vigorous defense for his client. Hussein Hassan, 24, was arrested Monday night amid blizzard conditions in northwestern Montana, where the westbound Empire Builder was halted. Hassan is accused of being drunk and unruly on the train. Hassan later suggested in an empty threat to a sheriff's deputy that he left a bomb on the train, according to the charges. That prompted the evacuation of 140 or so passengers in blizzard-like conditions and delayed its trek to Washington and Oregon...

No bomb was found, but abandoning the train in a treacherous swath of territory was difficult for older passengers and...
