Thursday, September 27, 2012 The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows both President Obama and Mitt Romney attracting support from 46% of voters nationwide. Four percent (4%) prefer some other candidate, and four percent (4%) are undecided. See daily tracking history. When “leaners” are included, it’s tied at 48% apiece. Leaners are those who are initially uncommitted to the two leading candidates but lean towards one of them when asked a follow-up question. Beginning October 1, Rasmussen Reports will be basing its daily updates solely upon the results including leaners.

Great video. It appears that Obama's best friend and roommate, Sohale Siddiqi was more than a friend. Perhaps this explains the wedding ring he wore for years before he married Michelle.

I want to hear from commenters on this, as I think all bloggers are dealing with some variation of this problem right now. Standard practice on the site is for Ed and I to post any poll that we think you'll find interesting, whether the numbers are good or bad; normally the readers are fine with that, if only because they can use the thread to goof on me for being a dirty, dirty eeyore. But for two months every four years, the calculus changes for some and they start screeching that posting bad numbers is an act of treason...

Frank J. Fleming answers all your election questions — even ones you didn't know you wanted to ask. We have a presidential election coming up, and elections can be strange and confusing. So I thought I’d put together an FAQ to answer everyone’s election questions.

MLive columnist Rick Haglund writes that the 2/3 tax limitation and international bridge ballot proposals are not a grassroots effort. If you think a proposal on the November ballot requiring a two-thirds vote of the Legislature to raise taxes was put there by a grassroots, tax-limitation group, you’re wrong. Proposal 5 is another maneuver by billionaire Ambassador Bridge owner Manuel “Matty” Moroun to try to stop construction of the proposed New International Trade Crossing bridge linking Detroit and Windsor. Haglund notes that a small group of people funded petition gathers and innocent-sounding groups to put these issues on the ballot....

Ralph Reed’s Faith and Freedom Coalition has now begun dropping their presidential voter guide into key battleground states. It has just posted to their site and you can check it out here: They are sending this out to roughly 17 million socially conservatives that they have identified in their extensive voter file. It is being delivered by mail, email, text message, to churches and door-to-door. When people receive the voting guide in the mail, they can scan the barcode into their smart phone where a video begins to play that sums up the candidates positions on the issues.

http://www.goodeforpresident2012.com/the-issues.html Folks, Obama and Romney are eating off the same menu (although Romney changes his diet from election to election). Virgil Goode is the only acceptable candidate running, IMHO.

CHARLOTTE,North Carolina (9/11/12) When the DNC came to Charlotte, area churches, 100 of them, offered hospitality, not knowing how much the Dems hate God and would actually boo God at the convention. They had no idea how that hatred would be directed at them and their churches. The Sunday before the DNC, over 9000 people had come together to pray for the convention. Then, wanting to extend hospitality to the visitors to their city, 56 of the churches set out to “Adopt-a-Delegation.” They put together gift baskets featuring Carolina Pralines and a letter welcoming them to the city and offering...

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: I want you to listen to something. This is on the Today Show this morning, correspondent Ann Curry. Ann Curry, is she back? Hm-hm. Oh, must be on special assignment or some such thing. Ann Curry is talking to the Libyan president, Mohammed Magarief, and she said, "What is your evidence --" See, here's the thing. Obama and his administration, everybody in it, Jay Carney and the media supporting him, have lied to us for over a week about what led to the death of our ambassador in Libya. They have lied repeatedly over and over, and...

(VIDEO AT LINK) The Congressional Black Caucus used National Voter Registration Day to launch a new voter protection initiative. On Tuesday members of the CBC partnered with community leaders as well as local and state elected officials in a series of events throughout the country to unveil “For the People“. The initiative draws attention to voter suppression efforts, like restrictive voter ID laws, that could prevent many minorities from voting in November. The goal of “For the People” is to provide information on what documents and procedures are needed to vote so that no eligible voter is turned away from...

I don't live in a battle ground state but I've noticed a lack of yard signs this year for politicians. Four years ago it seemed that everyone had a yard sign and Obama was everywhere, even here in southern Kentucky. I've seen a few bumper stickers on vehicles over by the university but really haven't seen a lot of them either. I'm curious if anyone else could tell me if I'm just early or just in the wrong place to see the usual mania that the elections provide. I keep seeing the polls and wonder if there's so much support...

Another heavily skewed poll for the messiah. This one is especially pathetic given it is three different states they claim will have 9 points or more dem voting advantage turnout.

How 'bout a little refresher re. Obama political Godfather and actual (16-count!) convicted felon Tony Rezko...? The Syrian-born Rezko is an infamous Chicago slumlord, fast-food restauranteur, and sleazy political operator who played a key role in the Blagojevich case- as well as the unlikley ascension to power of Barrack Hussein Obama.Obama's longtime ally, friend, and top fundraiser was found guilty of 16/24 counts of felony influence peddling back in June 2008. Of course the story was mostly buried/detached from his bud Barry in the run-up to that year's most unfortunate (for us) presidential election whilst the jury convicted Rezko of wire...

Mia Love Surges Ahead of Jim Matheson in Recent Poll Ramped up attack ads from Matheson signal desperation Saratoga Springs – A recent poll conducted by Public Opinion Strategies indicates Mia Love has surged to a commanding 51-36% lead over Matheson. Mia’s message of reforming Washington is gaining widespread support from Utah voters, while Jim Matheson's support for Obama's policies have diminished his support for re-election. With Mia Love surging among voters, Jim Matheson and his allies have resorted to false and personal attacks. Matheson and his Washington allies have begun a deeply negative campaign, attacking Mia Love, her family...

There are just a few short weeks until the presidential election and most polls show a very tight race. While the mainstream news media is declaring President Obama slightly ahead in most polls, some analysts like Dick Morris of Fox News believe that the pollsters are skewing the data to give the incumbent an advantage. Whatever the exact poll numbers, almost everyone believes it will be very close. Yet, with the situation in our country and throughout the world, this election should not be close at all. It is an outrage that GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney is not leading...

Here is the most profound insight of the week I can give you — in American politics, if a Republican candidate loses, the media blames it on the candidate being too conservative. If a Republican candidate wins, the media credits the candidate drifting toward the center. The only sure fire loser in American politics is the conservative movement, which is remarkable given the amazing success the conservative movement has had in spite of this. What we are seeing now on the political landscape is a growing consensus among opinion makers and average voters that Mitt Romney cannot win the election....

Top Jewish Democrats are standing squarely behind President Obama's decision not to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and warning Israel to butt out of the U.S. presidential race. The White House has been on the defensive ever since Israeli officials publicly complained last week after Obama refused to adjust his schedule to meet with Netanyahu at the United Nations General Assembly in New York later this week. Republicans quickly pounced, urging Obama to reconsider and inviting Netanyahu to meet with them at his convenience. ''I don't think it's necessary for the president to rearrange his schedule,'' Rep. Henry Waxman...

Critics of media polling have long complained about the sample skew that tends to favor Democrats in their surveys. We do a lot of poll analysis here at Hot Air and we routinely compare the modeling to exit polling in past elections. National Journal reports today that pollsters, especially those who work with media outlets, have begun to fight back against the criticism leveled by conservatives of institutional sample skew, claiming that they're seeing trends on the ground that previous electoral models won't capture: Critics allege that pollsters are interviewing too many Democrats --- and too few Republicans or independents...

Strafford County Superior Court Judge John Lewis ruled out-of-state students have a right to vote in New Hampshire and directed the state to amend the voter registration form for the presidential election. On Sept. 12, the New Hampshire chapters of the League of Women Voters and the American Civil Liberties Union filed a petition in Strafford County Superior Court – on behalf of four out-of-state college students – to seek relief from with a new law – originally filed as Senate Bill 318 – which requires people to sign a form declaring New Hampshire as their domicile. The order, issued...
