I found a Rossi .357 magnum lever action rifle for $550 today at a local gun store Good deal if you are looking for a rifle of this type? It is stainless steel and with a 20" barrel. I have been unable to find a .357 magnum level action rifle anywhere in southern California, regardless of manufacturer.

Just out of interesst. Since my main duty was to "sit" behind my 12,7 (cal.50). I was just interessted how many calibres the "standart" freeper has fired. For me it would be the cal.50, 22.lr, 9mm, 5,56 nato, 7,62 mm × 51, and the best "moment" of my life firing a 120 mm KE (APFSDS nato) from a leopard II tank ;-)

Next week, I am going on a short expedition into the Russian Northwest forest. My wife's cousins along with a couple more friends will go hunting, drinking and shooting...you know man stuff. Young lady I know is around twenty and wants to get a concealed carry permit. She knows the safety concepts and has been safely handling .22 rifles and other small arms for years. This would be her first handgun. In Texas, for a concealed carry permit, she must test with a caliber larger than .22. If she tests with a revolver, her carry permit is only good for a revolver. She is relatively small, so please no suggestions for .45s, .50 Desert Eagles, etc. (Like that ever stops anyone from suggesting them anyway ;o>).
