OUT-REPUBLICANING THE REPUBLICANSObama Revives Clinton's Disastrous Triangulation Strategy By Ted Rall – Thu Apr 1, 7:58 pm ET NEW YORK--"It was Bill Clinton who recognized that the categories of conservative and liberal played to Republican advantage and were inadequate to address our problems," President Obama wrote in his book The Audacity of Hope. " Clinton's third way...tapped into the pragmatic, non-ideological attitude of Americans." Clinton's "third way" was "triangulation," a term and strategy invented by his pollster Dick Morris. Triangulation is a candidate's attempt to position himself above and between the left and the right. A Democrat, Clinton insulated himself...

I know the attempt to remove William Jefferson Clinton from office failed. But, his sexual trysts, and lies under oath, were nothing in comparison to how our current President is destroying this nation. I feel certain, he would be reelected today with the votes of the Blacks, Liberals and The Stone-cold Stupid. I'm just curious; at this point in time, should the GOP re-take control of both Houses, could any of Obama's actions be construed as Impeachable Offenses?

We're not looking to give Bill Clinton a hard time on a day when he's undergone heart surgery. But our forbearance doesn't extend to Tom Brokaw when he misstates history . . . On this evening's Hardball, responding to Chris Matthews' question as to what motivates Clinton nowadays, Brokaw surmised that he is trying to improve his place in history given that, as president, impeachment proceedings had been "initiated" against him. Initiated? View video here.

If Obama is eventually impeached because he really was born in Kenya, then would everything that he signed into law also become null? I also don't see Obama ever really being impeached unless the GOP as well as conservatives in general actually have a supermajority of Congressional politicians in place after mid-January '11.

Bill Clinton on Lewinsky Affair: "I Cracked"Posted by Brian Montopoli September 21, 2009 3:14 PM (CBS)During a series of secret interviews in the White House with author and historian Taylor Branch, then-President Bill Clinton said his affair with Monika Lewinsky began because he "cracked" as a result of personal and political pressure. "I cracked; I just cracked," Clinton said, according to Branch, USA Today reports. The former president reportedly blamed the death of his mother, combined with the Democrats' losses in the 1994 midterm elections and the Whitewater investigation, for putting him in a state of mind that left him...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - After his talks with reclusive North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, Bill Clinton sure has a story to tell. And one of the first in line to hear his tale is President Barack Obama. "I suspect that President Clinton will have some interesting observations from his trip and I will let him provide those to me," Obama told MSNBC on Wednesday. The former president was chosen by the North Koreans from among four possible envoys proposed to them to try to gain freedom for two American reporters sentenced to 12 years of hard labor in North Korea. Other...

Florida Rep. Alcee Hastings on Wednesday warned two minority groups to beware of Sarah Palin because “anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks.” Hastings, who is black and a Democrat, made the comment in Florida at a panel discussion hosted by the National Jewish Democratic Council.

Per "Florida congressman points to Palin to rally Jews to Obama," Rep. Alcee Hastings denounced hunters and gun owners as racists and anti-Semites, and by implication beer-swilling NASCAR-watching pickup-truck-driving redneck white trash. This is consistent with Obama's own description of Pennsylvanians as "bitter" small down people who "cling to guns and religion," and the common reference to working people as "white trash" on Obama's own Web site. Rep. Alcee Hastings told an audience of Jewish Democrats Wednesday that they should be wary of Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin because “anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about...

"If Sarah Palin isn’t enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention," said Hastings. "Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through." Hastings, who is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, made his comments in Washington, D.C., while participating in a panel discussion sponsored by the National Jewish Democratic Council. Asked what the congressman meant, Hastings spokesman David Goldenberg told ABC News that he was trying to...

From a man who’s no stranger to abject disgrace comes one of the purest examples of racial demagoguery we’ve seen from either side during this very long campaign, duly laughed at and applauded by the same group that worked so hard last week to get Palin disinvited from the anti-Iran rally. His party will love him for it, I assure you. Rep. Alcee Hastings told an audience of Jewish Democrats Wednesday that they should be wary of Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin because “anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and...

Hastings, who is African-American, was explaining what he intended to tell his Jewish...

"There are no short-term answers. And I know that there's going to be long-term pain. I predict to you that gas prices will be as much as $5 before the end of this year and they will go to $6 at some point next year," he said during an interview with reporters and editorial writers at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "When they go to $6 it will fluctuate between $5 and $6 and more for some time to come. That's the harsh reality no matter what law we pass," he said. "I get tired of hearing people, politicians, friends of...

...As evidence of Mr. Clinton's impact, the campaign cites the Pennsylvania primary, which Sen. Clinton won by a margin of nearly 10 percentage points over Sen. Obama. Campaign data show that Sen. Clinton won by huge margins in several rural counties that her husband visited: 44 percentage points in Armstrong County, 44 points in Cambria County, 48 points in Carbon County and 50 points in Greene County. This compares with an edge of 26 points for Hillary among rural voters statewide. In Bucks County, a Philadelphia suburb that Mr. Clinton visited, Sen. Clinton won by 26 points, compared with only...

One of my favorite songs is perhaps the most creative song ever written - Billy Joel's WE DIDN'T START THE FIRE. It is indeed an amazing history lesson in song. For several years, I've wanted to do a parody and make it a Clinton history lesson. Finally, I discovered a MIDI that was somewhat tolerable. This took many hours of work, and I hope you enjoy it. I only wish the sound quality were better. WE DIDN'T START THE FIRE - A Clinton History Lesson
