From the Morning Jolt for this Tuesday: Biden Apparently Believes Obama Negotiates With Terrorists Now Somewhere along the line, in our modern political discourse, “terrorist” became a synonym for “someone who won’t give me what I want.” After the debt ceiling deal was struck, it took Vice President Joe Biden milliseconds and milliseconds to reinforce the suggestion that the administration and their allies are so morally myopic that they are almost genetically incapable of understanding what actually motivates the Tea Parties and others worried about runaway spending: “Vice President Joe Biden joined House Democrats in lashing tea party Republicans Monday,...

You just can’t make this up. Oaf Joe Biden told reporters he joked with shooting victim about “cracked heads.” Vice President Joe Biden, with a big smile on his face, walked to the House floor and said, “I came to see Gabby, that’s why I’m here.” …When Biden was asked about what he spoke with Giffords about, he joked, “She’s now a member of the cracked head club like me.”

  • Time's Joe Klein: Obama Has Better Relationship With Military Than Bush Did

Time magazine's Joe Klein this weekend claimed President Obama has a better relationship with the military than George W. Bush did when he was Commander-in-Chief. Such hypocritically was said on "The Chris Matthews Show" just moments before Klein noted that the military were "very much opposed" to attacking Libya (snip) JOE KLEIN, TIME MAGAZINE: The other thing is there’s still tension between [President Obama] and Petraeus about what exactly, how exactly to close out Afghanistan. I'd say the relationship is pretty good, very, better than it was with Bush

Jones, of course, killed no one. Suicide bombers kill as many people as they can for Allah. But Joe Klein is by no means alone in assuming that Muslims cannot control themselves and respond to insult with anything but threats and murder, and thus cannot be held responsible for their own actions. He thus reveals again the multicultural Left's bigotry and ethnocentrism. "Joe Klein Reserves Spot in Hell for Koran-burning Pastor Who's As 'Murderous' As 'Suicide Bombers,'" by Ken Shepherd for NewsBusters, April 4 (thanks to James): Burning a copy of the Koran is morally equivalent to flying a plane...
  • Joe Biden: ‘Framers Intended to Grant Congress Power to Initiate All Hostilities, Even Limited Wars’

    Cybercast News Service ^ | 3/21/11 | Terence P. Jeffrey
After studying the constitutional language governing the use of military force and the debates that the Framers had on the issue, Joe Biden determined that the Founding Fathers had vested the power to authorize even the limited use of military force in the Congress not the president---unless it was necessary for the president to act swiftly to repel an attack on the United States or to rescue U.S. citizens. Biden derided the opposite position—that the president could use military force without congressional authorization—as a “monarchist” view of presidential power. That was in 1998, however, when Biden was in the Senate.

Joe Scarborough's "intuitive gut reaction" to the mess in Wisconsin is that Gov. Walker's holdout against union pleas for collective bargaining "seems kind of un-American" to him. It supposedly pained the self-described small-government conservative to say it, but he held to his opinion on Monday's "Morning Joe." "I'm going to get killed for saying this," Scarborough hesitantly prefaced his confession. "I'm going to get so killed for saying this – I hate to say this, but the concept of telling people that they

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio led a field of potential Republican Senate candidates in Arizona with 21 percent in a poll of likely GOP primary voters last week. Rep. Jeff Flake, who announced his candidacy for the seat of retiring Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) on Monday, finished second with 16.8 percent in the Summit Consulting Group survey. Former Rep. J.D. Hayworth took third, with 16.6 percent. He was unsuccessful in his primary challenge to Sen. John McCain last year.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Joe Paterno plans to return as Penn State coach next season, ending the latest round of speculation about retirement. The Nittany Lions meet Michigan State (No. 10 BCS, No. 11 AP) in the regular-season finale on Saturday, and some fans and members of the media were wondering if this would be the 83-year-old Hall of Famer's final appearance at Beaver Stadium. Illness slowed him down in the offseason, and the Nittany Lions' midseason stumbles even had some fans griping for change. The rumor mill churned anew in recent weeks, but major college football's winningest coach said...

News Ask America van travels the country asking people about this election season's hot issues, we pulled a pop quiz on some of them, stumping many with basic civics questions.

Our former NR colleague, Joe Sobran, passed away today after a long battle with a variety of ailments. He was relatively young, just 64, and while physically beaten at the end, he also departed spiritually triumphant.   Surely, in short order, there will be ample reflection — much of it critical — on the hyper-talented, hyper-controversial writer. There will be a recounting of his history at NR, the break, the following years, and Joe’s soured relationship with WFB (happily, they rekindled their friendship before Bill passed away). Good, let’s discuss all that, and more. But later. Right now, let us,...

(CNSNews.com) – Sheriff Larry Dever, whose officers patrol Cochise County along the border between Arizona and Mexico, said he finds it “amazing” that the U.S. State Department would refer the recently passed immigration law in his state to the United Nations Human Rights Council for review. “Well, it’s just amazing to me,” Dever told CNSNews.com. “Course, I have about as much regard for the U.N. as I do the vermin that hides in the rocks around my house here and reaches out and tries to bite me every now and then.” The Bush administration refused to join the U.N. In a shocking upset, Joe Miller is the winner of the Alaska Senate primary if the current vote projection holds for the Republican primary election. With half of the precincts reporting, Miller holds a slight 51.8 to 48.2% lead over the GOP incumbent senator. The vote lead has been consistent during the early counting and even increased slightly as more precincts have been counted in Alaska. Joe Miller has been a heavy underdog in pre-election polls, trailing the senator by 20-30 points. Nobody thought this race would be close. In fact, the mainstream media has been using the Alaska primary...

Folks, What are you hearing. What are the results in your area or via local media, Talk Radio, or Fox. Interesting tidbit on Hugh Hewitt tonight.. Rich Lowry of NRO has been speaking with his deep throat "obi wan" and they have been thinking out of the box and that 2012 may have conservatives with super majorities in both houses. Just on Fox in FLA in the primaries people voted for Rubio 2 to 1, (just like Michigan) the intensity is worry some for the Dems, Santorum noted the 2 to 1 ratio.
