  • Van Jones Somewhat Retracts Libertarian ‘Bigots’ Statement After Confronted by…Russia Today

The Blaze was the first to report on the stunning remarks made by Obama Czar Van Jones at an Occupy Rally over one week ago in Los Angeles. At the time, he blasted Libertarians saying they hate, among other things, “brown folk.” But everyone must, at times, answer for the things they say, and Jones is now retracting, sort of, his Libertarian criticism from his speech, “All In For The 99%”. Here’s the full quote from his earlier remarks: “They say they’re Patriots but they hate everybody in America who looks like us. They say they love America but they...

HB 1033, the so-called "Clean Energy Bank" allows for a politically appointed board with only a minority of token ex-bankers on a board dominated by political hacks, union bosses, and profitable nonprofits... Rallying at the capitol March 20 for HB1033, creating a State-owned 'clean energy' bank, Governor Neil Abercrombie was joined by self-described communist, ousted Obama Administration ‘Green Jobs‘ Czar Van Jones. As Jones strode to the podium, the Chicago-style ‘community organizer’ swept away all the soothing references to North Dakota used to foist its one of a kind state-owned bank on Hawaii. Taking the microphone, Jones bellowed: “...the American...

Excerpted from TheBlaze – Van Jones has been making the rounds on various media outlets recently to promote his new book, “Rebuild the Dream.” But some are asking, won’t the former “green jobs czar” and “Occupy” advocate feel uncomfortable with his riches in the often-protested 1%? He said just this weekend that “[The] Occupy movement pretty much saved the entire country from destruction,” and we all know how Occupiers feel about greedy capitalists. Some are even saying Jones appears “super excited” about the capitalist system. He took the time to direct his Twitter followers to his book’s page on Amazon...

Former Obama administration green jobs czar Van Jones said Saturday the Occupy Wall Street movement essentially “saved the entire country from destruction.” Jones made the comments in Los Angeles ahead of his appearance at an “All in for the 99%” training event, saying Occupy “disrupted the narrative” as both parties “barreling toward more austerity.” “[The] Occupy movement pretty much saved the entire country from destruction,” Jones said in an interview posted online. “Both political parties were barreling toward more austerity, more cutbacks, more pain for the people and more — basically both political parties had managed to converge on this...

Van Jones is back with a message for disappointed progressives, Occupy Wall Street and other “post-‘Hope’” Democrats still looking to President Barack Obama for the change they voted for in 2008: Get over it. “I think you need two sources of power to make change, and not just one. I think you need a head of state that’s willing to be moved, and a movement to do the moving,” said Jones, the former West Wing insider-turned-disillusioned outsider and a lightning rod for conservative critics. That’s the gist of Jones’ new book, “Rebuild the Dream,” his blueprint for grassroots action to...

Disgraced former Obama “green jobs czar” Van Jones made an appearance in Hawaii last night in which he ripped on the “American fantasy” and called for socialistic approaches to wealth redistribution, while castigating Obama opponents as America-haters. In his keynote address, he stated that the American dream was under threat: Not the American dream they talk about on TV. There are two American dreams. One of them I call the ‘American fantasy.’ You know that one? Everyone is going to be rich. Everybody.

I have in the past written generally about progressivism and people laundering, here. But instead of ideas and generalities with a few specifics, this time I will be more detailed. So how do you take a revolutionary and shine them up like a bright shiny new car? How do you go from this: A jeans wearing, unpolished, rugged revolutionary, to this: Understanding how progressives use positions of power, authority, and "pure" non profits as a position to re-brand their own as palatable members of society is an extremely important thing to understand. This blog post could just as easily be...

RALEIGH -- In an odd political bedfellows moment, three North Carolina congressmen - two progressive Democrats and one religious-right Republican - joined forces Monday to urge the Obama administration to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan. At an anti-war town hall meeting in the Legislative Building, Republican U.S. Rep. Walter Jones and Democratic U.S. Reps.David Price and Brad Miller sought to keep the pressure on the administration to end the American combat operations by the middle of 2013. "Our concern is that too many times, administrations will say that the date for coming home is a year from now, 18 months...

Walter Jones’ campaign is having to dig deep to try and showcase their candidate’s former conservative credentials. Recent Facebook posts labeled ‘From the Archives‘ show two photos of a young Walter Jones with conservative stalwart Senator Jesse Helms nearly 20 years ago. That was then. This is now. Let’s get a little more current, shall we? Cut and Run “Cut and Run” Jones with progressive left-winger Dennis Kucinich.Jones voted for Kucinich’s articles of impeachment against Bush in 2008. Occupy Protesters Consider Political FutureBy Don Gonyea Thu., December 1, 2011 3:45am (EST) **SNIP** One who has been watching the Occupy movement closely is Van Jones, an activist who once worked in the Obama White House, and who now heads an organization called Rebuild the Dream. Jones has spoken at Occupy encampments and met with those working on the next steps. He thinks that the movement can work on multiple fronts. Protests and demonstrations are important, Jones says, but so too are elections. "There's no reason to do an either or here. This can be one of the biggest movements...

“Tim, Chris, I hope you’re not right about the lack of warming lasting till about 2020″ Question: If warming really threatens to destroy human civilization, why was Jones hoping for warming? And if the world was still warming in 2009, why did Jones refer to “lack of warming”? Email 4195 Tim, Chris, I hope you’re not right about the lack of warming lasting till about 2020. … I seem to be getting an email a week from skeptics saying where’s the warming gone. Can The Disgraced Van Jones Build A Left-Wing Version Of The Tea Party? Michael Brendan Dougherty Nov. 26, 2011, 11:33 AM Remember Van Jones, the President Obama's "green energy czar," from the early days of the administration? He's the one who resigned after Glenn Beck and others exposed a video of him calling Republicans "assholes," and his dabbling in 9/11 conspiracy theories. Well, according to Politico, he's back. And he's apparently helping to shepherd an open-source left-wing political coalition that was inspired by the Tea Party. He calls it The American Dream Movement, and its slogan is "Rebuild the Dream"...

Bob Jones III, chancellor of the fundamentalist South Carolina university that bears his family’s name, has become the latest conservative Christian leader to publicly cast doubt on President Barack Obama’s stated Christian commitment. "I've no reason to think he's a Christian,” Jones told National Journal in an interview published Saturday. “Anyone can say he's a Christian. “Some people will say whatever they think the politically helpful thing would be,” Jones said. “I say, 'Where is the evidence that he is a Christian?' We have the starchy guy — tall, handsome, intelligent and rich, with a baronial estate — who’s hard to warm up to. And we have the spontaneous guy, who’s charming and easy to warm up to — until it turns out that he has an unsavory pattern with young women and a suspect relationship with facts. It’s the Republican primary. Or “Pride and Prejudice.” Take your pick. It is a truth universally acknowledged that it’s not the scandal that kills you; it’s the cover-up.
