The American public -- even those who claim to like Barry a little bit -- have lost confidence in him. This is an intolerable situation that is unprecedented in modern times. Not even Carter saw such a huge, obvious meltdown. It's also pretty clear that the Republicans will seize convincing majorities in both houses of Congress in November. I expect as many as 100 picked-up seats in the House and a re-taking of the Senate....

The Chevrolet Volt, the first mass-market electric vehicle from General Motors Co., will have a sticker price starting at $41,000 when it hits showrooms later this year. But government tax credits and rebates designed to speed the entry of electric vehicles into the marketplace will make the price more attractive.
